Living in the Western Weyr Kingdom, as the 5th generation
of the royal family, Sir Howl Simes the 5th was very bright, loyal, and
a generous dragon. Living in the castle with his mother and father
as the king and queen of the kingdom. Howl would go downtown every
day flying over the kingdom to see many smiles of the town-folks.
He would oftentimes help the restaurants, bakery, etc as a sign of
generosity. Which is why the whole kingdom loves him as their little
golden prince of the west.

One a beautiful sunny day, Howl tells his
parents that he was heading to the border of the land to find a rare
flower to complete his collection. His parents had warned him to be
careful, he heads off while the town waves toward to Howl, he
waves back. After a 12 min flight he finally makes it until he spots his
flower, landing down carefully Howl walks up to the flower. Once he
was about to pick it up his focus then goes toward large strange
being in the corner of a tree. "Hello? Who's there?" he said, while
there was no response. He then had to build up the courage to walk
up to it. Approaching he was shocked to see another dragon but they
looking completely different, worry to see that the stranger was
fainted he tells it to wake up while he helps them up lean on the tree.
Asking many questions to them while their waking up, they hiss at Howl,
“Why I oughta get rid of you, you Eastern Seeeerpent!” Howl was surprised
but instead he was calm and he introduced himself to them.

Komo #100 -- Eastern Tryout

Postby Avisowl » Sat May 12, 2018 9:20 am

The feeling of wind enveloping your body as you soar through the sky, is the greatest feeling.

Taishe felt the wind carry him through the sky. His eyes narrowed on a group of other Western dragons. With excitement he soared over, knocking into one of them. Kia, she was the leader of this possy. She gripped a gold orb tightly in her claws, a sneer washing over her loving smile. “Hey Taishe…”, she smirked tossing the orb between her two talons. “Um..hey Kia”, Taishe gave a warm smile, his tail waved behind him as a light breeze passed. “Can I play, uh catch?” Kia glared and then gave a mischievous smile. “Ok, Catch!” Kia chucked the orb down to the woodland area. Taishe saw the golden glint fall into a grove of sequoia trees, he tumbled down. Gravity pulled at him as he flew straight down, barreling into the branches of the tree. Taishe struggled to reach is arm in front of him, trying to grip the object. Grabbing the surface of it, Taishe fell. He grumbled brushing off leaves, and holding the orb to his chest. Taishe stumbled to his feet and lifted off the ground. When he arrive above the clouds, none of the other dragons could be found. With a cry of exhaustion and feeling of defeat, Taishe fell back into the undergrowth.

Darkness turned to light, he awoke from a daze. “Hey hey hey hey wake up! You ok?” Lifting himself up to a seated position, he saw a smaller dragon. This dragon was green with a yellowish tint. The structure of his body wasn’t snakelike like Taishe, but more of a lizard. This other dragon, had the golden orb clutched in his thicker claws.
“Get up, get up! What are youuuu doing here?” The green dragon stood up proudly and tail, his golden mane waved in the wind. “I fell, I’m very sorry.” Taishe backed up a bit, his back touching the rough bark of a tree. “Why I oughta get rid of you, you Eastern Seeeerpent!” The other dragon reared up a bit, his wings spreading to his sides. “I am an Eastern Dragon, and I’m sorry...I uh fell into your land.” The green dragon’s eyes slit, with curiosity and interest. “I’m Howl, son of the king of the Western Weyr.”
Taishe gave a small and awkward bow, “I am Taishe, son of a merchant and a seamstress in the Eastern Weyr.” Howl lowered his guard a bit, “I’ve never met one of the Eastern Weyr!” Howl helped Taishe up to a comfortable position, “I’ve never met one of the Western Weyr.” Taishe smiled at the other dragon. Howl stared at the golden orb in his palm, “is this yours?” Taishe nodded, “do you want to play catch with it?” Howl smiled he had never done such a thing, what a great idea. Why, such a great idea...it must be his! “Hey I know, how about we play catch with it?” Taishe rolled his eyes giving a small chuckle. The two dragons played catch until the sun set, touching the mountain’s tips. “Goodbye Howl!” Taishe bid the other dragon farewell as he soared above the clouds without the golden orb.

Taishe stepped onto the greyish cloud, he glanced over their crops and moved forward. He opened the door to his small cottage. His mother was curled up, sleeping on the sofa. Her palms had stains of blood from pricking herself with needles. Large calluses were along her fingers, her claws were dull and shaving away. Taishe kissed her cheek, she works so hard. He tiptoed into the kitchen, his father was cutting up rain beans. “Hi Tai.” His father kissed his forehead. “How was your day?” he smiled “it was great I had so much fun and…..” He gave a large yawn. Taishe’s dad picked him up and set him in his ox patterned cot. “Goodnight Taishe.”

The next few months were amazing, Taishe and Howl met up in the same spot and continued to play catch, even other games too! Today was different, it was quiet. “Hooowl? Hooowl?” Taishe stumbled over a log and scraped his knees. He gave a yelp but continued to walk. “How-?” He stopped. Taishe gazed at the Western Weyr kingdom. He smiled and proudly moved forward. Small bits of blood dripped from his knees. Western dragons backed away from him, families huddled together averting their eyes from Taishe. One mother covered her child’s eyes, yelling at him. Taishe then saw him, Howl sat next to a fountain glasses perched on his nose. Silk robes adorned his shoulders. Taishe watched as his friend stood suddenly. “Taishe!” He hissed through his teeth. “What are you doing here?” Taishe smiled shrugging his shoulders, “I came to see you!” Howl stared behind him. Taishe turned his head, there were two bulky dragons in uniforms.
“Run!” Howl grabbed Taishi’s hand and dragged him through the air. He struggled, Taishe was kind of a heavy dragon. They heard flapping wings behind them. The guards were after them! They soared into a small gave. The two dragons were quiet like mice. When they couldn’t hear the flapping of wings anymore Taishe turned to Howl. “Why don’t they like me?” Howl looked at the ground “Easterners don’t like Westerns.”
