❝ Under the stars gaze, does she look happy?.. No. Is it guilt, pride perhaps? Emotions are illusions. Burdens bared by only the weak who sacrifice themselves to that nasty demon that she calls hell!.. They're all lies. Don't listen to them or you'll end up miserable! Just like her... ❞

"What is the beginning maybe the end."

Do you here it? The crashing of waves against the nearby coves and cliff sides. What about the chirping of birds and leaves of tall oak trees rustling in the chilled winds? Briar hears it. She's such an emotional child that's gone mad, but who hasn't. She is one who walks alone. Practically a spirit in the wind, she belongs to the Ula'sae forest. The one place she feels close to ease and where she will no longer be betrayed by her own blood. The only presence of life are the trees and her the beating of her heart. No one dares enter the Ula'sae forest. Not even the creatures who once called it home. Amongst the rustling trees lays Briar twirling her diamond like dagger, on the oldest oak in the forest, guarded by a chain of rose bushes with thorns sharp enough to easily pierce a wondering soul's heart. In which is considered the heart of Ula'sae.

"Chaos torments the weak, in which will turn to beasts."

A kingdom drowning in blood. White roses tainted with splashes of crimson red. Screams filling the halls of a once regal estate. Playgrounds once filled with laughter are silenced in an eerie hush. Andromeda has now fallen. Just what every kingdom bares as it's destiny. Lucky ones have fled. One's who stayed ended their fate with torment and bloodshed. Not even the royal family is seen.
Her mother and father have fled. Without their beloved or so she thought anyways. Love was once expressed between the family.
Briar trusted them. Just like any growing child would. It was only a lie. Days upon days, she watched her beautiful family shatter.
Distrust grew between her mother and father. Their little one was forgotten amongst this mess. Poor Briar, no child should go through such chaos. Briar became filled with the demons of emotion. She knew nothing of what to do. Imagine having to fall asleep to the ones you love, threatening each other every night. They spat threat after threat at each other. The one Briar feared the most was later spoken one beautiful night. These words were the fate of the kingdom. Her mother and father threatened each other in starting a feud between the two. This brought war. Briar was forgotten. She had no say in this mess. She knew she could not stop it. Soldiers clashed turning the purple night into a nightmare. Briar's mother fled to the east of the continent. Her father on the other hand fled towards the west. Briar had never left her room. She had hope that one of her parents would come for her. The night had went on. No sight of her parents anywhere. Maybe if she slept it would turn out only as a nightmare and she would wake up to the true reality. She slept through the night afraid and shivering. Only to listen to the screams of her inhabitants that she dearly loved, as any true princess would. Briar had woken up to the silence of day. No birds or cheers of crowds down by the marketplace. She crept out of her room. No one was in sight, not for long anyways. Coming slowly across the main hall lays a door leading to the courtyard. Briar was afraid what lied ahead of her. Taming her emotions, she gently opened the golden door. Tears began flooding down her cheeks. There among the courtyard of Andromeda lied souls. Souls silenced with death. No living was insight. Her beloved kingdom is now a graveyard. Her tears began worsening. Anger had filled her soul. Angry at life. Angry at her so called parent. Her beast of emotions had been unleashed. There was no taming them and she hated the feeling. Briar headed towards the grand gate which led to the Ula'sae forest. She then was slowly stopped. A small glint across the courtyard lies in the bushes of tainted roses. Dodging the bodies, she came to this mysterious object. There lies a shiny diamond like dagger hiding amongst roses. Picking it up, she held it close to her heart. Holding it as if it was a treasure worth keeping. Briar continued on her path to the grand gate. Opening the grand gate let out a loud shriek of rusted metal. There lies Ula'sae forest.

"A forest up for the taking."

Entering the forest Briar became anxious. She was hungry and was looking for some sort of edible that may fill her small stomach.
She finally heard birds singing their beautiful songs. This gave her hope that their was food. After hours of searching through the forest, she was successful. She caught herself a small young buck. Deep inside she felt sorrow for the creature, but she knew she had to. It was the only way to fight for her survival. She set up camp by finding a nearby cove that lied by the Ula'sae forest's nearby ocean. The cove was lit up with bio luminescent algae creating beautiful scenery. Finally at peace she found her way to sleep. She had a tightened grip on her dagger as if it was her friend and only protection. A few years had gone by. Briar had aged and made her cove a living kingdom all to herself. Or so she thought. Briar left to go hunting, but through the years food source was scarce as they knew of her threat. They fled, just like her cowardly parents. She found a bush of edible berries that would last her for the night. She head back to her cove only to find a presence at the end of the cove. Someone or something is there. Behind the figure lied an eerie shadow. An awfully familiar shadow.

    "Where family lies, comes sacrifice."

Drawing closer to the shadow, she stood dead in her tracks. Her eyes had met someone familiar. It was the presence of her mother.
Anger and sadness had build up in Briar as her eyes met with her mothers. But, there was something off about her mother. Her mother looked cold, soulless perhaps. Almost as if she was dead. Or if she was there in spirit. That did not explain the shadow though. As Briar became flustered with emotion, her mother began to fade in and out. This was not her mother. Briar believed it was her emotions. They were toying with her. Briar began tearing up. Her emotions became over baring. Her anxiety built. As the fake illusion of her mother remained. She began to panic. She was scared. Her emotions were trying to drive her insane. Briar's heartbeat sped up. Driven to insanity, she did what was best. Picking up courage and taming down the beast inside. She began towards the illusion. Walking closer she pulled out her dagger. She stood in front of her mothers illusion. She drew her dagger and pierced the heart of her mother. The illusion had faded from her mother, now to the appearance of her father. Next to her father her mother's so called illusion appeared. Both hearts of her parents were pierced. Were they illusions? Did Briar's emotions toy with her? Or were they both her real parents? Laying Briar began to tear herself apart passing out from the mental stress.

"What is the end maybe the beginning."

Waking up from the nightmare, Briar lied with her eyes opened. What appeared to be the nightmare was fake. She woke up with the comfort of her bed and her bright kingdom. The cheers of the crowds, the chirping of the birds was comforting. But that is only what she wished. Realizing she woke up in the same old oak tree with her dagger at hand. Left exiled by her own emotions. Despite how much love she has for her wings, they to have exiled her. As any disturbance would torment them causing only more emotional pain. Briar left herself on top of the old oak branch to never come down unless she truly needed to.
