• has a rather petite build, not much muscle, but is still surprisingly tough.
• she has long ash blonde hair that reaches down just past her rear and is often adorned with braids and little flowers, giving her an almost fairy princess appearance.
• her eyes are a shade of pale sky blue, but they are often hidden behind sunglasses since her eyes are very sensitive to bright lights.
• she doesn't really like restrictive clothing and prefers to wear skirts or dresses where she can move freely while also looking nice.

• actually aura sensitive, allowing her to sense the aura of others from large distances as well as pick up on the thoughts and feelings of those around her.
• her aura sensitivity gives her a much deeper bond with her two absol companions even though the two aren't aura sensitive themselves.
• doesn't consider herself a trainer or an aura guardian even though she could be either if she tried.
• one of her absols is a normal female nicknamed nova while the other is a shiny male nicknamed epsilon.
• both of her absols are able to mega evolve and each have their own mega stone necklaces. each mega stone has a corresponding key stone which are set into rose's double stone necklace.
• only instigates a battle if someone or something was in danger such as the wild pokemon she protects in the forests.
• not one for social interactions, often travels alone with just her absol companions. goes into towns only for supplies she can't get from forests and doesn't really enjoy it.
• in some small towns and villages where she frequents, she and her two absols are considered the guardians of the forests, some even celebrating their protection as a holiday of sorts.
• though both of her absols are dark-type pokemon, each has a specific move type. epsilon has primarily fire and dark moves while nova has mostly electric and ice moves.
• nova and epsilon are also mates and share a deep bond with each other which allows both of them to bond together as well as with rose when mega evolving at the same time, creating a strong triple mega bond during battle.
• with her aura sensitivity, rose can connect telepathically with her absols and doesn't have to speak while in battle which gives them an edge since the opposing challenger won't know which moves will be used.
• using her aura abilities is draining and can only be used in moderation. if she were to use too much aura at one time, it could have dire consequences.

the forest was starting to darken as the sun slowly falls towards the horizon. lots of sounds can be heard throughout the cluster of trees and bushes, most of which being the various calls of different pokemon who live in the area. it was all very relaxing, a mellow ambiance that really soothes the soul. and her soul could really use some soothing.

for the umpteenth time, she had to battle a poacher who had tried to hunt in one of the many forests she and her two absol companions protect. it was both infuriating and deeply depressing to have such horrible people in the world. her heart aches at the thought. as if sensing her distress, epsilon lightly brushes against his companion's side. the action makes a small smile tug at the corners of rose's lips. "sorry, got lost in thought again," she sighs gently, lifting her right hand to rest it on the shiny absol's head. a loving gesture that makes epsilon hum in delight.

from her other side, nova does the same, briefly walking close to the girl's side to let her soft fur brush over rose's arm. with both of her absols trying to soothe her wayward thoughts, rose is able to smile brighter. "thanks, both of you. what in the world would i do without such wonderful support?" rose chuckles warmly, earning an 'absol' from both of her partners. she can feel the aura of both her companions grow brighter with her display of affection which in turn strengthens her own.

though she cares deeply for the forests that they protect, rose isn't really one for camping out in the brush without proper supplies. of which she has none. it was a lack of foresight on her part, but she hadn't expected the battle with the poacher to have taken so long. the man's pokemon were strong and he had a full team of six so it took longer than usual for her to dispatch the vile person and leave him for officer jenny to pick up. rose wonders if the woman knows who was behind the catching of poachers in the region. sure the other officers do catch a number of the distasteful criminals, but a good number still slips through the cracks. and that's where rose comes in. she's lost count of how many criminals she's captured and left to be taken away by the officers. it's probably somewhere in the low hundreds.

rose glances at the map she holds in her hand and glares at it as her frustration starts to show. though she knows the forests by heart and can travel through them blind, she still likes to have a map in case she needs to measure distances accurately. like she does now. even with the sun setting at a leisurely pace, they won't be able to make it to the cabin before it gets pitch black. rose isn't scared of wild pokemon, she can easily calm and befriend any of them, nor is she scared of the dark considering she can use her aura sensitivity to 'see' in the dark. but she is scared of people in the forest at night. she's made a name for herself in the crime world so it would surely please the criminals a great deal to catch her out in the dark. especially with both her absols tired from a previous battle.

with a huff, she folds the paper map and stuffs it in her satchel before motioning ahead of them as she talks aloud to her companions. "looks like we'll have to stop at the pokemon center in town. we can't make it to the cabin before nightfall." nova and epsilon both rumble growls at the mention of town, neither of them like the crowds of people just like rose. the girl sighs and nods, picking up the pace a little since town wasn't too far away and she'd prefer to get there with some daylight left. "yeah, same here, but we've got no other option. at least we can get healed up and get a hot meal," she mutters, clearly unhappy about their new destination, but was trying to look on the brighter side of things. nova gives a snort at the words and epsilon shakes his head a bit in response to his mate, looking a little amused.

their detour to town was a good idea since as soon as they step through the doors of the pokemon center, a crack of thunder suddenly shakes the twilight sky. rose jumps a little at the sound, not expecting such an explosive noise, and so does nova which makes epsilon move to her side to soothe his mate's frayed nerves. rose takes a deep breath to calm herself as she moves to the front counter to check for a spare bed. "welcome to the pokemon center, how can i help you?" nurse joy greets happily, her wigglytuff partner standing beside her as always. rose forces a smile as she greets the woman and pokemon. "hi, i'd like a room if there's any left open," she says, trying to sound polite and friendly. she also motions towards the absols beside her, epsilon still trying to calm nova after the clash of thunder. "and i guess these two can use a check up if you've got the time."

nurse joy nods and looks to the panels on her side of the counter to check for open rooms. when she opens her mouth to speak, she's cut off by the doors to the center sliding open to give entry to a group of kids. the wind was howling outside and it looks like it was pouring buckets as well. good thing we decided to stop here instead of risking the walk home, she thinks to herself. the four kids that enter were pretty soaked and seem to actually be around her own age, though maybe a few years younger. rose ignores them as nurse joy resumes her talking. "you're in luck, there's a room still open for the night," she confirms, tapping a few times on the panel before her to enter rose into the slots. "and i'd be happy to take a look at your absols. they seem tired so i'll make it quick so you all can go rest." rose leans forward in a light bow as she thanks the woman and then turns to her two pokemon. "i'll be here when you get finished, okay?" nova looks rather unsure about leaving rose's side and looks to epsilon for support before dipping her head in a nod.

rose lovingly pats then both before moving off to sit at one of the tables off to the side. before nurse joy could take nova and epsilon back for their exams, the group of four that had entered earlier quickly jog up to the counter. "can you take our pokemon too, nurse joy?" asks the brunette girl in the group, her two pokeballs already in hand. the other three were also holding pokeballs and the littlest girl was holding what looks like a dedenne. a pikachu was also perched on the dark-haired boy's shoulder, the poor thing was as soaked as its trainer. "of course! i'll be back soon with all of them," nurse joy responds, taking the pokeballs in trays and the two free roaming pokemon on a gurney.

as all of the pokemon were taken to the back, nova and epsilon included, rose sighs and turns her attention to the window where rain pours down the glass. "excuse me, miss?" calls a young voice from close by. rose drags her gaze from the rain coated window and turns to see the young blonde girl from before standing a couple feet away. "hmm? yes?" rose asks, not really sure what the little girl could possibly want from her. "are those two absol your pokemon?" the girl asks rather eagerly, her eyes wide and full of curiosity. rose hesitates for a moment before nodding slowly, glancing towards the other three kids in the group as they make their way over as well. "yes, they are my partners. why?" she responds, her tone getting a little guarded.

the young girl seems to almost explode with what rose assumes is either joy or excitement. or possibly both. "really?! oh that's so cool! you've got two absols!" the girl exclaims in a wild mixture of joy and excitement which startles rose a bit. a nervous and apologetic voice cuts in as the blonde boy of the group pulls the young girl away. "i'm very sorry if she's bothering you, i didn't see her come over here," the boy apologizes with sincerity. it was nice to hear since not everyone is ever truly sorry for bothering her.

rose offers a light smile and shakes her head a bit, starting to become amused despite not wanting to be around people. "oh, she's fine, i was just as curious when i was younger," she shrugs, internally wondering why she was even engaging these people instead of telling them to go away. the dark-haired boy who'd had the pikachu on his shoulder jumps in as the blonde has a heated conversation with the young girl off to the side. "i've never seen a red absol before, is it a different kind?" he asks, seemingly confused. rose was truly amused by the boy's ignorance, it was the first time anyone has asked if epsilon was a different kind of absol. sure people ask about his coloring all the time, but everyone usually assumes he's either sick or she's painted him. "epsilon is a shiny, actually, he's a true absol that was just born different," she responds, shrugging once again.

the kids all seemed awed by the revelation and talk among themselves for a moment before turning back to her. "oh, i'm ash by the way. i probably should have introduced myself before asking questions," the dark-haired boy chuckles lightly, his hand lifting to rub the back of his head in a bit of embarrassment. "and i'm serena," the brunette girl adds in, offering a shy yet friendly smile and a small wave. "i'm clement, this is my little sister, bonnie," says the blonde boy who had just rejoined his friends after scolding the little girl. the girl, bonnie, gives a smile and waves enthusiastically at the mention of her name. "it's really nice to meet you, and i'm sorry for bothering you before."

it was hard to be mad at the big blue eyes that gazed at her so rose gives a genuine smile and shakes her head. "you weren't bothering me, i was just looking out the window," rose says, her smile still in place as she motions to the chairs around her. "you can all sit if you want, probably better than standing. and my name is rose." each of the kids nod with smiles and thank her before taking a seat around the table. ash and serena sit on one side while rose sits next to bonnie and clement sits at the end of the table.

they all sit silently for a few seconds before bonnie breaks the lull with more questions. "you called your absol 'epsilon', right? is that its nickname?" the girl asks in what rose assumes is her usual eager manner which earns a tired sigh from clement. rose chuckles lightly and nods to the questions. "yeah, epsilon is my male absol, the shiny one. the other is a female i call nova," she agrees, nodding once again and smiling as bonnie almost vibrates with excitement. "that's so cool! can i meet them when nurse joy is done?" bonnie pleads, making rose hesitate a little since she knows her companions aren't overly fond of crowds. "umm..."

clement takes that moment to jump into the conversation. "i'm pretty sure she wants to go to bed after nurse joy is done, bonnie. i know i do." the young girl's face falls at her brothers words and nods. "yeah, you're right." she agrees rather sadly. rose feels a bit of pity for the child, and moves to speak, but is stopped by the sound of the pokemon center's chimes. everyone looks to the doors beside the counter as nurse joy and wigglytuff appear with everyone's pokemon.

rose gets to her feet along with the others and kneels down to nuzzle both of her absols, her heart feeling lighter now that they were back at her side. she wasn't the only one happy to see her pokemon, the others were just as thrilled. ash laughs and hugs his pikachu as the pokemon jumps into his arms with a 'pika' of delight. bonnie was hugging her own pokemon which makes rose a little confused since the girl was clearly too young to be a trainer. seeing rose's gaze, serena giggles as she speaks. "don't worry, it's actually clement's pokemon, she just cares for it," the brunette informs her before moving off to talk to ash about something. it was a little reassuring that the little girl wasn't a trainer at such a young age.

ash and serena talk for a moment before turning back to the other two in their group. "the rain doesn't seem to be letting up until morning, we should stay here for the night," ash says, interrupting the siblings as they were once again in a heated argument about what rose assumes is the abols since bonnie keeps glancing towards them. clement agrees with ash and returns to his talk with bonnie who doesn't seem to be listening anymore. rose resumes her seat by the window, nova and epsilon now at her side. the shiny lays behind her chair while nova lays beneath it, her head resting on the male's back.

everyone looks to the front counter as ash suddenly groans while talking to nurse joy. "what do you mean there's no more rooms left?" the boy asks, rather upset at the news. "i'm sorry, there's been a big influx of people this week, all the rooms have been taken already," nurse joy responds apologetically, "there's nothing i can do for you."

rose chews her lip for a moment as she thinks about what to do. surely there would be enough space in the room she reserved for all of them. but does she really want to share a room with strangers she's only just met? sensing the turmoil within the girl, epsilon lifts his head to gaze at his partner. his intelligent eyes making rose smile down at him and nod. "you're right, we're guardians, aren't we? time to act like it," she murmurs down to her companion who only hums in agreement before dropping his head back down tiredly. she takes a breath before easing out of her chair, careful not to bump the resting pokemon beneath it, and walks over to the counter where ash was still standing with his group.

she clears her throat softly and offers an uncertain smile. "you can all share my room with me if you want, i'm sure there's enough space for all of us," rose offers hesitantly, not sure if she wants them to accept or not. each of the kids seem to want to agree, but hesitate. "are you sure? we don't want to intrude anymore than we have already," serena asks, the others beside her nodding a little. rose offers a small smile and nods to the question. "i'm sure, it wouldn't be kind of me to make you go out in this storm," rose smiles, though it was a little forced since she was getting rather tired. a good night sleep would be wonderful. she silently hopes none of them snore very loud.

ash and the others happily agree to share the room with rose, though bonnie was the most enthusiastic about the arrangement. they all get some food and eat together before heading up to the room. rose could feel the exhaustion all the way to her bones and was so happy to see a bed once they entered the room. it didn't take long for everyone to get changed and settled into bed. rose sighs blissfully as she climbs into bed and curls up under the covers, it felt to nice. after a chorus of 'goodnight', everyone starts to drop off to sleep. rose was the last to fall asleep, her small bed rather crowded with both nova and epsilon laying with her, but it felt nice to have them both there.
