Vipren Academy

>cheesy basic witchcraft storyline

For years, young witches have enrolled in the aged academy. It had been founded so long ago only vague tales of its creations were still told. One of the most commonly told tales was that magic had been banned for years before its founding, and one young witch became agrivated with this, and began to teach her friends and later, her family the magic that had been passed on from her grandmother. Slowly, more and more people got rid of their sentiments against magic, and the taboo seemed almost gone in the areas around her home. But the government got word of what she was doing and went to shut her down. She refused to do so, however, and had to make a great sacrifice to help her teachings spread and eventually overcome the hostility towards magic. It is rumored one day her sacrifice will come to haunt the school, as the debt is yet to be payed.

They laughed at first, not taking it seriously. They stopped slowly as they realized Avi was serious. Laura glanced at Bri and bit her lip for a second. They were silent, but almost seemed to come to some sort of agreement before they both turned to look at Ava. "Well. I guess I can tell you." Laura said, pointing her nose up and going silent once again before she finally met Ava's eyes.

"Last year it was just me and Bri. We didn't have lots of friends. It didn't feel like much to us- it was normal. I mean, most people aren't particularly popular are they?" She said pointingly. Ava didn't say anything. She chose instead to look right back at Laura, her brown eyes relaxed as always. Laura sniffed at that, but continued with her story.

"But it was fine how we were. Two against the world right? Perfect. Then we got a taste of something different. God, it was different. I can't decide if it was better, or worse, but it was so different from our normal routine. So we were glad at first. We took advantage of it." Bri smiled as Laura faltered for a moment and put her hand on Laura's shoulder. "So now we can't get rid of it. Wherever we go? People watch us, expecting something, anything, from us."

Avi shuddered. The air felt colder as she remembered the way she had been drawn to the pair when she walked to class and bumped into them that first day.

The tallest girl stood up, and reached to help Laura up. "At least that means they can finally notice how much you always look at m-" she started, but Laura quickly swatted her, laughing once again.

Graceful as always, Laura slowly stood up from the cold floor. She paced over to where Avi was and stuck out a hand. "Do me a favor and be careful out there, kid?" Avid blinked slowly, and nodded as she gave Laura a small smile. The three walked together a small ways, before Avi parted with a polite nod and went to go bother the library aides.

Emily panted next to Avi. She stood on a large rock, tipping back and forth, barely keeping her balance. Avi sat on the log next to Emily. Her pants got dirty but she didn't seem to mind all that much.

"And you wanted me to run around with you, why?" Emily said. Avi glanced up at the taller girl. She stood still only a moment while asking that before returning to rocking back and forth.

"I need someone else to.. do what I need to do. Besides, who else would be willing to risk getting caught in a thunderstorm just to see where I wanted to take you?"

That seemed to satisfy Emily. "Plus, who else can keep me entertained by chattering the entire time?" Emily made a face at Avi, before the two began walking away from where they had settled down for just moments.
