"It all ends, today." Lilith said, her voice firm.
"Why?" Khaleesi retorted, a smug look on her face as she spoke her next words. "You afraid he'll change his mind if you wait any longer?"
"You afraid you need more time?" Lilith said immediately, her facial expression remaining emotionless.
Lilith's eyes blazed blue fire as she stared down the white-haired woman, who was staring back at her with the most impossible scowl. Both young women stared for several moments, as if the outcome would be decided by a staring contest. Obviously neither of them were looking away, so Lilith reached out, eyes still on Khaleesi's, and tapped on the door with her knuckles.
They heard a quiet thudding on the stairs, and both looked towards the door just as it swung open to reveal - much to their surprise - another woman. At a glance, Lilith would assume that she was no more than a year younger than her; she had the same bleached-silver hair as Khaleesi, along with several facial piercings - this accessory, she did not share with either of the women standing at the door.
Lilith felt slightly less 'bad girl' around Khaleesi and the girl at the door. She'd never dyed her hair or gotten any piercings. Not even her ears. However, this did not mean she would back down. Lilith lifted her shoulders, staring the other girl straight in the eye. She put on a friendly expression.
"Hey," she greeted, offering her hand. Khaleesi still seemed shocked, and maybe a bit jealous; Lilith felt a jolt of satisfaction at her loss for words. "Sorry to bother you, I didn't know anyone was over. Is Jason there?"
The girl blinked, then reached out, gingerly taking Lilith's hand. "Yeah, he's here," she said, not bothering to introduce herself. She seemed a bit shy. However, she did not waste even a moment before she looked over her shoulder and called out, "JASON! There are people here for you."
Shyness; gone. Lilith blinked; for a moment, she was very clearly shocked. It did not last long. Next to her, now having regained her composure, was Khaleesi; she did not speak, however. Until Jason showed up, there wasn't much for her to say, but Lilith could tell that she was ready to pounce.
The younger woman backed away, walking out of view as Jason turned the corner, his hair tousled perfectly; as always. He looked surprised, though the fact that Lilith and Khaleesi were there together was probably only half of it; aside from herself, Lilith doubted he got many unexpected visitors.
It had been just over a month since Lilith confessed; afterwards, she hadn't spoken to Jason for nearly a week. For Khaleesi, confessing was much easier; she hadn't been planning on not falling for him, unlike Lilith, and she already spent a lot of time with him both inside and outside of school. Lilith made herself feel better about this by reassuring herself that the moments she spent with Jason were more meaningful, even if Khaleesi had more. The only problem was that Lilith wasn't sure if this mattered to Jason, the meaning of those moments. And, now that she had realized how she truly felt, losing him would hurt so much more. If Jason was any good at reading facial expressions, he would know exactly what Lilith was thinking; it may as well have been written on her forehead. Alas, he was not.
"Hey, Jason," Khaleesi greeted, making her first move before Lilith could say a thing.
He smiled, "Hey, K." Oh no. Nicknames were bad. "Why are you guys here?"
"I was hoping you would come with me to the Go Kart place outside the city," Lilith said, butting in before Khaleesi could come up with something clever. The truth was best, and Lilith had not been lying. Perhaps Khaleesi wouldn't have been, either, but Lilith was taking no chances and was not planing on ending up the bumbling idiot in the pair. "Turns out Khaleesi had also been on her way here. Not to ask you to go to the track, though." Lilith looked over at Khaleesi, who was obviously trying her best not to reach out and strangle the other woman. Lilith had a feeling Khaleesi had come to ask something completely different, but she couldn't exactly do that with Lilith there, as well as whoever that other girl was.
Jason frowned a moment, blinking as he looked to Khaleesi. Then, he looked back to Lilith. "Why don't all four of us go?" He asked. For a moment, Lilith was confused. "Us and Spirit, I mean. If she's alright with it, we'll come along."
Lilith nodded, smiling. "That sounds great!" She exclaimed. She thought differently. Khaleesi was obviously thinking about the same thing, and as Jason walked back into the house to speak to his friend, they looked over at each other. A temporary truce.
Perhaps this would not end today.

Starring;
Lilith, a character who was introduced just last one-shot. She and Khaleesi have been rivals a while, and had been hoping to settle things... Apparently, that's not going to happen yet.
Khaleesi, a new arrival to the land of one-shots. She is a character created by Durvehviir, for the same roleplay as both Lilith, Emily, and Jason. She and Lilith are romantic rivals. Awkward.
Jason, the lady killer, back at it again. To be fair, he didn't ask for any of this, and it's actually surprising that he's still around now that he knows that both Lilith and Khaleesi like him. I'm sure there have been some moments where he was pretty ready to run and hide. Forever.
Emily, yet another character created by AthenasArtz. This is Samantha's sister, the one I was talking about in "You can't leave! You'll die...". She was also a character created for The Beyond. She is actually another persona of Angela (aka Spirit), from a different roleplay, but it would probably get confusing if I called them both that. Emily it is.
