Let It Snow . . .
Silent Night . . .
Basic wrote:Powder is a rather quiet Viscet. He treads quietly, his paws barely touching the ground.
He doesn't talk much; he much rather likes observing from a distance.
At first glance, he appears to be unfriendly, and occasionally creepy.
His favorite activities are watching the snow as he actually relates to this form of weather.
The snow is light, quiet, and extremely peaceful.
Not many love snow, and it's just the same as Powder.
A Little More Depth wrote:Powder is mostly a mute when around others.
He'll mutter maybe a word or two when needed, and only to the closest of friends.
This is because his voice was always so soft anyway he decided to just not use it.
He walks mostly on all fours just because it allows him to be even more quiet and soft.
His favorite thing to do is to watch the snow fall with close friends, enjoying hot cocoa.
Occasionally, Powder will be seen building snowmen with the younger Viscets.
Although he seems like a shut in, he wants nothing more than to have a mate.
His dream is to one day find a mate, though he's sad when he thinks of the idea to be unable to have an egg.
Being a bisexual Viscet, he has the possibility to be unable to have a child with his mate.
This is the main reason he's holding off on finding a true mate to love.
Still, he wants someone to love and be his voice, someone who will be able to understand him without speech.
Powder has two other favorite activities.
One being dreaming.
Yes, Powder absolutely loves dreaming.
It allows him to live out his life with a mate and their child in a forever snowy wonderland.
His mind is barely ever tainted with nightmares, so he's generally safe whenever asleep.
Dreaming is amazing.
He forms whole stories and lives throughout his years of dreaming.
One of his childhood dreams has stuck with him, becoming his ideal lifestyle.
He has a dream journal in which he writes every single dream he can remember, often illustrating them as well.
His other favorite activity is singing.
Although he barely utters a word around others, when alone, he sings loudly.
His voice is powerful and surprisingly feminine, allowing him to sing a wide variety of songs.
Only a few Viscets have ever heard his voice to its full extent, and those who have stumbled upon it on accident.
He sings only in private, and he will occasionally be walked in on.
His favorite selection of songs are generally of the holiday genre, though he will sing along with Acapella videos.
Main Traits wrote:Positive;;
Calming;;
Powder is excellent at calming others.
He cuddles and offers blankets, hot drinks, and his CDs to any who are down, trying to help bring them back up.
Quiet;;
Obviously, this Viscet is very quiet.
This allows him to help others with the younger Viscets when sleeping.
It also allows him to explore at night and closer to human civilization without being caught.
Upbeat;;
Although he doesn't speak, Powder has a surprisingly upbeat aura around him at all times.
He'll often jump around when with friends who are near and dear to him, causing them to smile and laugh.
Negative;;
Dreamy;;
Powder tends to be very day-dreamy.
This causes him to have rather clumsy actions, often bumping into things when in this day-dream state of mind.
Quiet;;
This positive trait also comes with a negative.
Being so quiet will often make him fail to alert others of certain things like intruders or an amazing prey in the territory.
Submissive;;
Beings so submissive allows Powder to have his territory easily taken over.
This is the main reason of why he depends on his friends, often taking shelter in their territory.
This also means other Viscets can take his food, so he shares food with his friends quite a bit.
Quirks wrote:Noises;;
To excuse his regular silence in speech, Powder makes noises.
A low growl expresses anger and mistrust, a squeak will often express surprise and fear, and a purr will express content and happiness.
Snowglobes;;
Powder will often clean his snowglobes whenever he has company over.
This is because of how proud he is of his collection.
He just loves showing them off, and this is the most casual way he could think of.

Jolon wrote:
Powder and Jolon have a rather strange relationship. It could be considered a friendship, thought it's more just one Viscet helping another despite having very different packs. Powder helps Jolon entertain the young Viscets, allowing them to enter his pack's forest and play in the snow, creating snowmen and enjoying the hot cocoa Powder steals from the humans nearby. Jolon helps Powder by teaching him the ways of the stars and wind, allowing Powder to travel even more quietly. The two have formed somewhat of a friendship, though they don't really do too many things friends would do, such as hanging out. Still, they can be seen as reliable on each other, both helping the other with some of their favorite tasks.

Raika wrote:
Powder and Raika have been friends for quite some time. In fact, Powder quite enjoys her company just because they're rather similar. They're both quite quiet, though Raika is only a tiny bit more outgoing than Powder. The male Viscet likes to help Raika in any way he can, often bringing her anything and everything she needs so she can keep pressure off of her leg when walking isn't necessary. Whenever Rinu is away, Powder tries his best to care for Raika. They will generally hang out by a fire, enjoying the warmth on their coats, roasting marshmallows he stole from some humans not far from their territory. Although they've been friends for a while, their relationship isn't all too deep. It's nothing more than a simple friendship shared between two simple Viscets who enjoy each other's company, both being slightly clingy and needy of friends.

Tobias wrote:
Powder and Tobias met on complete accident. Powder decided to explore, trying to push himself out of the snowy forest he always resided in. During this small exploration, he happened upon quite a few new Viscets whom he befriended. One of them was Tobias. Powder was hopping along beside a river, humming quietly to himself, when he saw a bright green Viscet floating down the river. Not knowing if the other Viscet was okay, Powder grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and dragged him onto the river bank. He tried desperately to wake up the Viscet, getting rather worried until the green Viscet awoke. Powder was extremely confused, but Tobias explained what it was all about. Powder found this extremely intriguing and has learned to take life one step at a time and to trust in fate. After hanging out a little bit, Powder started to like this Viscet a little more than just a friendship, though for obvious reasons he will never say this, as well as the fact that he's too scared of denial. Still, Powder will occasionally track down Tobias whenever the blue Viscet begins getting bored of his usual snowy scenery. They seem to enjoy each other's company well enough, and Powder claims the other Viscet to be a 'tail brother' due to their similarity in tails.

Lyf wrote:
During one of Powder's explorations, he stumbled upon some glass art. He found it incredible and was exploring it when a Viscet appeared. She was rather short tempered, but Powder has an extremely cool and patient personality. He quickly complimented her on her work, which she seemed to enjoy. He would spend quite a bit of his time watching this Viscet make her glass creations, and Powder strongly admired her for her talent. He made sure to compliment her often, and was very patient as she tried to push him away with her anger. He took nothing she said with a temper to heart, eventually finding out she couldn't really help it. Powder considers Lyf to be his closest friend, and he's even begun talking regularly when the two are alone as well as humming every now and then. By watching Lyf and taking some of her pointers, Powder has actually begun learning to create glass art. His first creation was a small, lopsided, leaking snow globe. Lyf, noting his failure, gifted him a snow globe during one of his visits right before he headed back home. He has since treasured the snow globe, keeping it planted right above his fire pit, shaking it to watch the 'snow' fall any time he's feeling down. He even goes so far as to say the snow globe is magic, the two Viscets painted to look like himself and Lyf moving every night, dancing in a graceful circle. He has developed a small crush on Lyf, though he knows it to be a rather hopeless one.

Six wrote:
Powder, much like with Jolon, isn't really friends with Six. In fact, Powder barely knows the male. The blue Viscet happened upon Six's territory while, of course, exploring. He was promptly chased out by a rather aggressive Viscet, but Powder was extremely intrigued. So he sits on the very edge of the other's territory every now and then, watching curiously. The two have a habit of staring at each other quite often, and Powder wants to be friends, but with his lack of speech, that isn't all too easy. In all honesty, Powder wants to be friends with many, especially those who appear to be lonely, and Six is near the top of the list of Powder's Viscets to befriend. Powder has brought many gifts to Six, such as human food which turns out to be surprisingly delicious, and some of Powder's favorite things like his sled. The sled isn't very useful, though, considering it doesn't snow year 'round like it does near his own home. But it's the thought that counts, right?

Heliconia wrote:
Heli is almost more of a mother over Powder than anything. After finding her in a territory he had never seen before, the two began chatting. Well, Heli did most of the chatting while Powder showed enthusiastic expressions and movements. Eventually, Powder found the female Viscet's favorite season was winter, so he invited her to his home. They played together in the snow, and they still do so, Heli making sure Powder doesn't freeze to death. Both of them have heavier fur on their tails, allowing them both to stay out in the freezing weather for longer than normal. They enjoy throwing snowballs at each other, though Heli is rather gentle, making sure not to harm her 'son'. Heli is more of a mother to Powder than his own mother, and he loves her for this reason.

Opal wrote:
Opal actually stumbled upon Powder instead of the usual other way around. Both seemed rather intrigued by each other, eventually finding that both enjoyed exploring the world. Or, in Powder's case, the continent he lived on. Still, both kept their findings in journals, Powder's full of writing and Opal's full of drawings. Powder was extremely entertained with the female's drawings, and he spends days looking through her journals whenever she drops by his den. He shares his journeys, though he finds Opal's to be much more entertaining as she travels all around the world. They 'chat' for hours at a time, enjoying each other's company. Powder will actually speak, albeit accidentally, whenever he gets too excited, and he'll talk for an hour before realizing he's doing so. Opal enjoys this, trying to get him as excited as possible so she can hear him ramble on and on about the most stupid of things. They don't see each other often, but Powder looks up to and admires her bravery and sense of adventure, one day hoping to be as incredible as her.

The Snowglobes wrote:This is Powder's prized snowglobe collection. He, of course, favors Lyf's gift the most, but he has many, many more than just that one.
Lyf's Snowglobe wrote:By far the most special snowglobe in Powder's collection, he received this from Lyf herself. After seeing his love of snowglobes and how determined he was to befriend her, she gave him the small glass filled with 'magic'. It's believed Powder is crazy for thinking it moves, but he doesn't see wrong. The scene of Santa, a small town, snow, and Lyf and Powder dancing together move before his very eyes, but only when he's alone. He thinks it has something to do with how much he likes Lyf and that she herself made it for him. Not to mention her incredible talent with glass must give some sort of magic to every item she makes.
Calming Blue wrote:The most 'boring' globe in his collection, though it has a peace it brings with it. The gentle snow fall hypnotizes Powder for hours, allowing him to calm down and have inspiration whenever he hits a block for whatever he's trying to do. Not to mention the calming blue glow it casts on the room, lulling Powder to a gentle, light sleep whenever he's plagued by nightmares.
Philosophy wrote:This snowglobe reminds Powder what life is about. That although occasionally annoying, some things are better than nothing. He would much rather have loud young Viscets running and shouting when he was trying to nap than have silence for eternity. He shakes this snowglobe and reads the quote engraved on it whenever he's feeling fed up or annoyed, which really doesn't happen all too often. Still, the quote is true and applicable, and it's a lovely addition to any snowglobe archive.
