Once long ago two souls clung to one another,
For comfort and help from remorse,
They pretended their lives were okay,
But the reality was they were each equally broken.
One lost her soul so long ago,
Clinging to someone she couldn't let go,
Making her soul bleak and dark,
She longed for many years to hear the words, "I love you" from the one she pawned after.
But alas it never happened,
And by clinging to her obsession with those words never said,
The vibrant talkative teenage girl slowly grew insane,
Until she lost her soul and a piece of her mind.
The other soul had lost her way as well,
Diving into deppression,
And lies,
Pretending everything was a-okay.
The other soul wanted nothing more than someone to be there for again,
Wanted to have a child to care for again,
Wanted to pretend to have a big happy family,
So she pretended the other soul was her daughter.
But alas this did not happen as planned,
For the young soul grew close to the older soul until she became like a sister,
And then she found herself caring for the older soul,
Told her she cared when the older soul believed no one cared for her.
The older soul wanted to reach out to the younger soul,
But how could she when everything she said was a lie,
When she had to pretend everything was right in her world,
And she cried tears when her 'daughter' left her again.
It reminded her of an event she'd rather forget,
But little did she know that it reminded the younger soul of something rather forgotten as well,
They were both broken and Jaded,
Their souls ripped, cut, and broken at the seams.
Still they forced the other to relieve such a horrid event,
That tension began to grow and spread,
Sara Saun didn't want to remember the one she pawned after so long,
And Carly Ann didn't want to remember the night she lost her children.
And, yet, the irony is that they both left each other without as much as a trace,
For they each reminded each other of someone or someones they had left behind,
And still they say reason and love keep little company nowadays.
