[Veins Of Opal]

It burns like fire,
as it slithers down my throat.

I can't climb higher,
where is my hope?

Seeing stars in my eyes,
take another sip of poison.

Ignore all the cries,
as my lips are moistened.

The bottle's empty,
where am I now?

Though I've had plenty,
I search anyhow.

Drown away the emotions,
drown this silly notion.

I ran through the undergrowth, the dogs hot on my heels. Screech squealed as he dangled from my mouth. I did not care about myself. I cared about Screech. I heard jaws clicking together, rapid, continuous barking, and huge paws pounding after me. I glanced at an upcoming cliff. I bunched my energy and jumped. As a cat, I was more agile. The dogs’ barks were all I could hear. Paws and claws tore at the cliff. I placed Screech down. His wide eyes glimmered with fear. “It will be okay,” I told the wolf pup. Screech slowly edged towards the small cliff, looking down at the dogs leaping and barking and howling. “Screech, not that far!” I yowled. I was too late. A large set of jaws grabbed the wolf pup by the tail and dragged him down the cliff. I heard Screech yelping helplessly as the dogs carelessly tore at his skin. All this pack of dogs wanted to do is give anything they can a long, painful death. I shook my fur, unsheathed my claws, a jumped off of the cliff, landing on the biggest dog. They all turned around and began giving me huge, painful bites. I couldn’t fight them off. Before I could die, they left me to. I looked at Screech. He wasn’t bitten badly, but some blood soaked his fur. “S-song….?” He asked, voice shaking. I slowly opened my eyes. “Come with me….” I murmured. “I cannot let you starve in this world.” I sighed, unsheathed my claws, and raked them down Screech’s neck. He nodded painfully and curled up next to me. I felt his breathing slowly stop. Moments later, mine did, too.

Both are lovely, yet haunting.

[Moon's Blood]

I stand here alone,
No one but my shadow by my side.
The dark figure saves me in the light,
But in the dark of night,
I'm doomed.

I stand here like stone
Too stubborn to let go and hide.
I fight my own fight,
Though, I can never win it, right?
I'm doomed.

My shadow has always known,
But I just denied
Now I can see everything, so bright.
I now fell the mite.
I'm doomed.

I'm doomed,
I'm dead,
I'm myself in my smallest form

I'm nothing more than a girl,
A girl with her own fight
One that slowly eats you from the inside.
Still I stand as a stone,

Not showing my fear,
Not showing my snire,
Nor my tear...

[Fawnie]

Quiet as a whisper, invisible to the eye
Pretending that it didn't matter, pretending she could fly.

Fly, she would, through the crowds, passing everyone by. But No one seemed to notice her, the girl who could fly.

So sad she grew in her dismay as no one looked her way. Longing tears filled her eyes as she flew from face to face.

"Look at me, what I can do, isn't it so great?" But no one heard her desperate cry and flying became her fate.

 She flew past the unexpecting crowds,
taking breaks to play in the clouds.

She was happy, she was free,
the girl who could fly was in a place where she could be she.

But in her absence, the crowds grew smaller, searching for
their long lost daughter.

The girl who could fly, wasn't that her?
Certainly her for sure.

But where was she? When did we see her last?
All those questions were pointless to ask.

She was invisible, as you recall,
and maybe she wouldn't of had to be gone

"If only we could see her..." The crowd began to cry.
If only they had paid attention to
the girl who could fly.

Screaming
For life, for love
For a reason to fight
Another day
Another eternity

Deep eyes
So far away
From reality, from life
Secluded
Never spoken, never heard

We have to learn
That there's no easy way out
Unless we want
Those we love
To follow.

Haha!
The day is done!
I have nearly won!
I see you soon,
I hope it's soon.
I'm almost there,
so close am I.
Haha!
The day is done!
I have emerged bruised and battered,
But I will prevail!
I will not let the darkness get me!
I shall prevail!
And when the trumpets blare,
and the crowds cheer me on.
I shall know that I deserve this!
For I have nearly won today!
And tomorrow I will combat the foes.
I will suffer casualties,
But I will prevail,
Beter than I did today!

Baby-steps
Still we crawl
On hands and knees
Trying to stand
Walk, talk, communicate

Trying to make our own way in this world

Not enough jobs
Turned down, not good enough

So we stay trapped in this prision
For another hundred years
While we wait for our lovers
To sve our lives

Do you need me,
Like I need you?
Have I saved your life before?
In some way that I don't know?
Or am I just another girl?
Just another friend,
that you find annoying?
I'll improve, I promise.
I just was excited,
didn't know how to act cool.
I've never been in a place that accepted my taste.
But now I'm better,
because of you.
So do you need me?

Burn our broken ashes
As we again learn how to die
Bury us in roses
As we teach ourselves to fly
And keep us on the ground
When we're ready to spread our wings
And bid the world
Goodbye

Crunchy or soft

An apple is what lays in my hand
