The inky black midnight
Engulfs the sky in a cloud of pain
The church clock strikes twelve
Too many mothers cry
Seeing their children's lives
Hanging by a thread
Or a rope tied tight around their
Neck

New mothers helplessly watch
As their children are possessed
Pain, passing away
Before their eyes

Cold, cold skin
Lost, lost faces
Sad, sad tears

The clock strikes midnight
The lucky will be found in the morn
When they are past saving
Already
Gone.

Okay well, I'm kind of new to poetry and I've been told the stuff I write makes me emotional but here's one I wrote the other day....

Wings

My hands feel frozen down here,
It's all to different,
All to far from real.
I know I can't cry,
I don't want to look weak,
But would you save me?

My wings grow more and more,
By day, by night,
My wingless flight,
Come save me quick,
Before my wings fall off.
Would you do it?
Or would you sit back, laugh and let me die?

These wings they grow bold and white,
I'm not perfect,
I'm not insane,
My wings are grey,
Not white and plain.
Not black and ghostly,
But grey and true,
What about you?

Knife blade ginting
Can't stay happy
For just one damn day, can you honey ?

Can't just get it over with
Weak eyes
Broken heart beating
You disgust me

Every second of every day
Crying, when you shoud be laughing
Depressed, when you have so much to look foward too
Angry, when you can't help the way you are

No one understands, do they honey ?

Best get it over with while the wounds are still fresh and deep.

Stuck

Can you hear me?
Can you see me?
No, you can't,
I'm stuck in this world,
Stuck in your lies,
Stuck where I can't get out.

Promises made to be broken,
Lies told to be found,
Dares made to be mean,
Your stuck in your own mind,
Stuck where you can not scream,
Stuck were your lost and don't know where to go.

Truth told to be good,
Daggers to show weakness,
Friends made to know we're loved,
We're stuck in it all,
Stuck in our lies,
Trapped by our truth,
Stuck to those we know.

I branch,
I reach,
I scream,
I'm still stuck in my lies,
Still stuck in my weakness,
Still trapped by my heart...
I'm still stuck...

(That one was just off the top of my head eh heh...)

She will never get the chance to follow her dreams
Adjusts the millions of wires that keep her alive
Takes a shaky breath
She knows this will be her last night

Heart open and bleeding, a machine in it's place
Keeps an unwilling life living
White tape, wires and string
Bind her arms together
A crimson mess
Wating to be torn apart

What would you do
If you knew that this night

Would be your last.. ?

Do I jump?
Do I fall?
Is it so hard that I can't choose?
The knife pokes my back harder,
I fall off the edge,
I don't scream though I want to,
I can't do anything but watch a trail in the air,
A trail of red,
A spotted trail,
I land in water,

I'm going numb

Riding this world

I am happy around them
I get hugs from 2
They make life worth living

I come home from school
To find my family

My mother has left me
So now I cry when I'm alone
I can't take the truth
So I tell a few lies
But then I get in trouble
Because those lies are found
I miss you

And need the people that I own

Just like you did before
I miss your smile
I miss you face
I miss the way that you said grace
You were the thing
that kept me going
Now all I run on
Is memories

Yeah I wrote those in the middle of a 'missing mum' breakdown so they're fairly emotional

I was tired,
Tired of being alone,
With my stolen time.

I've been abandonded,
Time and time again,
Left with my stolen soul.

I was out there, barely hanging on,
About to slip
over the edge,
Stolen life,
about to end.
