Better Day:
Childhood seems so far away
Lost in a box of memories
Placed in a closet never looked at again
Darkness makes them fade
Turning into nothing, but lost hope
Despair takes over as I search for the things I’ve lost
Never to be found
Memories of when things weren’t hard
Why do people say time doesn’t matter?
Because, what they don’t know is time controls them
Why is time is just a number to them?
Because, they don’t realize how important a number can be.
Why is time so often killed in pointless acts?
Because, people always murder what is precious
Childhood was filled with innocence
With obliviousness
With not caring
With no desire to look down on others
With open mindedness
With love
With admiration for everyone
Why did people stop caring?
Because, they do not think they can give what they desire most
Why did the love disappear?
Because, people believe it belongs to only them
Why is the time disappearing without a trace?
Because, we just let it slip away unnoticed, not even caring it is gone
Childhood was pure bliss
Something taken advantage of
I often look back and wish
Wish upon a shooting star
That I could go back
Back to when it didn’t matter
Why do people judge?
Because, they aren’t happy with themselves
Why do people mock?
Because, they are too cruel to those who are different
Why do people not understand?
Because, they lost the memories of what their childhood was like
Years pass and go
Memories drift away
Childhood can’t always be there
But, you don’t need to give it all away
Care for the days you have left
Take it with open arms
Childhood seems so far away
Lost in a box of memories
Placed in a closet never looked at again
Darkness makes them fade
Turning into nothing, but lost hope
Despair takes over as I search for the things I’ve lost
Never to be found
Memories of when things weren’t hard
Memories of the better days.
(I know its long......don't judge)
