Liber de Elfmuth - Book of the Wolves

disclaimer: does not take place in modern times
disclaimer: the lupus ad orationem popul is actually fractured latin
The cushion of the chair beneath you is surprisingly soft. You haven't been in the wolves' library yet, and you were surprised to see how sophisticated it was. You are looking over a translation, and the aroma of old parchment fills the air. You slide your finger over the rough edges of the paper and look up to see a figure coming up behind you.
Her name was Kiva, Magnum reginae et lupum. Queen of the wolf people. You had dined with her before and enjoyed her company. Mulling over the afternoons you had spent studying with the regina. She had taught you much of the lupus ad orationem popul - speech of the wolf people. While you were not completely fluent in the complex language, you were learning quickly and were able to have basic conversations in it.
The regina was a once-beautiful dark brown wolf. Her eyes were emerald green, though they were growing a film of milky white. Her previously lustrous coat was now dull and intertwined with silver hairs, though it still reflected some of its' former glamour. Usually her gaze retained a glimmer of humor, but now the glint was gone - she must be serious.
She looks at you for a second before searching for a book. She finally runs her hand over a dark blood-red tome titled Liber de Elfmuth. You silently translate it - Book of the Wolves. Remembering hearing tale of the fabled book, you stifle a gasp. The book was rare, and valuable, and could only be opened by saying your true name - which, ironically, also had the secret to finding the aforementioned name.
Kiva hands you the book and looks at you gravely.
"It is time you learned of our history, young one. I give you the Liber de Elfmuth. With it I give myself - what i am, who I am. As our eldest student you should be proud to receive such an honor." You blink, stupefied, and the werewolf continues. "I give myself. I am Kiva Animi-Velox-Sicut-Fulgur; Et-Cum-Multa-Paenitenda; Multa-Cum-Illa-Passione, Sicut-In-Spinis-Rosa." Dumfounded at the revelation and that the regina would put so much trust in you, you silently translate.Kiva Mind-Quick-Like-Lightning; One-With-Many-Regrets; Great-Queen-With-Passion-Like-The-Thorny-Rose. Certainly a name to be proud of.
The regina kisses you on both cheeks, her warm tongue on your skin, and pads softly off, saying in the lupus ad orationem popul; "Multa itineris, iuvene. Ecce, vos autem lupi." Learn much on your journey, young one. Truly you are a wolf.
Still surprised at the turn of events, you take your trembling hand and open the clasp of the book, which is now glowing. Peering at the slightly damaged table of contents, you read;
Liber Primus;
Fabulam Reginae - Sicut locutus est per Kiva Rosa

(Book one - The tale of the great queen - As told by Kiva Rose)
Liber Secundo;
Taurish Et in principo nomino

(Book two - Taurish and the beginning of names)
Liber Tertium;
Profliglare rapaces

(Book three - The Banishing of Wolves
Liber Quarto;
Igneo et ad fluvium magnum flumen Eufraten

(Igneo and the great river)
Liber Quinto;
Impetu de in tenebris

(Book five - The attack of the shadows).
Slowly, you turn the page and begin reading Liber Primus; Fabulam Reginae...
