Personality: Emily is sometimes very sarcastic, but she can actually be pretty friendly once you get to know her and she warms up to you. She doesn't have many friends because of her hard exterior, but she doesn't really know how to open up to others. She's often quite quiet unless she's making fun of someone else. She doesn't ever really mean it, it's just her way of distancing herself from others, as a few of her friends back-stabbed her a while ago and she's been afraid of making friends ever since. She's not really close with the friends she has now, they just agree with her (entirely fake) opinions on other pets.

Dear Diary,
Today was my first day of junior high. It was pretty crazy at first...but things got better as the time passed. My first class is English. Its my favorite subject, I love to write and read...but why does it have to be in the morning?!?!? Ugh. I just want to sleep in that class. The teacher isn't great either. It makes me miss my old school, I was in advanced reading/writing there...and as soon as the flyer comes out here, I'm signing up for the advanced class! After that, it was time to go to math. Im not so great at math...Jeff is though. he's always saying "Maggie, I think you need a tutor." Whatever. Im just not good at it, Im good at other things. Anyway,


Today in math I was introduced as "the new girl" but, someone else was introduced that way too..his name is Ash. He seemed to really be enjoying the class. Even though it was the first day, the teacher assigned quite a bit of work so she could see just where we are skill wise. Almost everyone, including myself was freaking out, but Ash seemed excited. Thats when I also noticed someone else in math who didn't seem to awfully upset about it,


Emily is the top in the math class right now. I guess nobody really knows how good Ash is yet, but he seemed like he was pretty confident. Emily didn't seem to excited about Ash though. Hopefully this isn't the start of some math war. That would be a weird way to start the year off. I thought Emily had really good fashion sense though, I don't know if she is a "mean girl" or not, something tells me she isn't...


next, was Science class. Thank goodness, something else I'm good at. There weren't many seats open so I had to sit away from everyone...which kind of sucked because I was in the back. Then, the teacher came in and announced that he was assigning lab partners!!! I was so excited, this was a chance for me to make friend! He was going down the list of names and matching us I guess. He started calling out names and pairing kids up. He paired me with a girl, her name is Bunny. She seems really nice. The rest of the time in class was called free time. It was for us to get to know our lab partners. We talked for a long time, but it seemed so short, probably because we were having fun. I was excited to meet her.

Next was lunch, we sat by each other, and talked about science, she kind of gave me a quick rundown of the school. She told me that Emily wasn't really a mean girl, but she didn't really know how to describe it. She said that she used to have friends but they did something, and now she has a group of friends that are kind of bullies.


Next was art. Sadly, I don't have art with Bunny...but it totally gives me a chance to meet other people again! The only seat available was in between two girls. Its so awkward picking a middle seat like that, but, I had too. So I sat down and one of them commented on my backpack, she said she really liked it! Her name is Amelia. She was really nice, and on the other side of me was a girl named Maple. I think they have been friends for a while.

I didn't have anymore classes with Bunny, so I hung out with Amelia and Maple for the rest of the day. Im kind of excited for school tomorrow, maybe Rockfeild won't be as bad as I thought...
