All conversation stopped as Ronald entered the Dispatch office, an arm coiled around a human woman's waist. Quickly scanning the immediate area, the young reaper breathed a sigh of relief when he failed to notice William anywhere. Maybe he's out harvesting souls. His hopes were shattered at the sight of a receptionist -- the supervisor's, to be exact -- pick up a phone and talk into it. Three words wafted to his ears: human, woman, and Knox. Uttering a muffled swear, the blond shinigami shifted his grip on the woman to haul her rapidly along the hall in the direction of his office. Hastily pushing her inside, Ronald slammed the door and locked it, exhaling the air from his lungs.
"Well, Ronald Knox, I take it you had fun while on your mission?"
Blood freezing at the sound of William's voice, the reaper whirled to find him seated behind the desk, death scythe trained on him. "Sir, it's n-not like that, she was being a-attacked by demons! I had to---" He was silenced when the scythe shot forward and pinned him firmly against the door. A small whimper escaped him, wide green eyes watching his supervisor slowly stand.
"Please stop hurting him! He did nothing--"
"One more step toward his person, woman, and I shall personally slam you through the wall behind you."
"Sadistic bastard!" Ronald hissed, hands clawing at the death scythe cutting into his neck. In a mere second, the blade was removed and William was crushing his windpipe, two-tone emerald glare smoldering. Despite the fact that the dark-haired reaper outweighed him by thirty pounds, the youth struggled to free himself. His vision swan sickeningly before his back collided with the solid oak of his desk, crying out as William straddled him. "Let me go!"
"Quiet, boy!" the shinigami snarled, bending so that his mouth was near Ronald's ear. "Did you forget the most sacred law among grim reapers? Never allow or willingly bring a human into Dispatch. Failure to comply may result in permanent termination." He put emphasis on 'permanent' and felt the blond shudder beneath him. "I'll show you just how sadistic I can be, Knox."
"N-no, get off of me!" Ronald yelled, agony ripping through his body as his supervisor's sharp teeth bit into his neck. Shoving against the taller reaper's chest to no avail, he did the next thing that came to mind -- struck him in the groin. When William's grip faltered momentarily, the blond bolted off the desk and across the room, grabbing the terrified woman's hand on the way. Aware that blood was streaming down his skin, Ronald tore along the hallway toward the cafeteria, knowing full well that his friends were there. Yet, before he rounded the final corner, something hit him from behind and sent him slamming to the tiled floor. Flipping onto his back, the shinigami gasped as William placed a foot on his throat before shifting his entire weight. It wasn't enough to render him unconscious, but it was painful beyond belief. Unable to communicate, Ronald was forced to watch his supervisor extend his death scythe, clamp its jaws around the human's collar, and jerk her to crash into his chest. It suddenly clicked in his mind and his thrashing grew more frantic.
William smiled cruelly down at Ronald, then hoisted the cowering woman in his arms. Nearly double the pressure was applied on the blond's neck, cartilage cracking beneath his heel. Just as his victim was on the verge of passing out, the black-haired shinigami removed himself to crouch beside him, noticing how violently Ronald flinched at his proximity. "You're forgiven this time, Ronald. But, do this again, and I'll put you in the hospital for a month. Am I clear?"
"Y-yes, Mr. Spears."
