Castella was excited, because today was her big day. She would finally have a chance to show her abilities in the National Pet Talent Show. She loved to dance, but she didn't like to dance around people. When she did, she wasn't really at home. A few friends of hers had been teaching her to come out of her shell more, so that she was able to dance more freely and expressively with out the fear she'd be made fun of. With the help of an advanced dancer, Castella had been learning a pretty dance.

This was her moment. Castella was introduced and the crowd applauded as she came on stage, ribbons threaded through her beautiful scales. As the music started, she swayed side to side as the crowd was awed by the ribbons. She danced and danced, but then the music started to skip. It would stop and scratch, and the audience gave Castella strange looks, like this was her fault. Her friends saw this and changed the music to some pop.

Castella froze. She hadn't practiced this. Suddenly, she saw the audience clap along with the beat. She swayed side to side and nodded her head. She did this until the song was over and as she finished, the audience gave her a standing ovation. She did it! Her friends ran on the stage and hugged her. She was so happy.

"And the winner of the National Pet Talent Show is... Castella, with her ribbon act!"

Cecil's New Library!

Cecil was looking around a new house one of her friends had bought and found a huge room. It was kinda dark of course, but she got a flashlight and looked around. "Hmm, I see a lot of books and shelves, and-- WAIT! A lot of books? This must be a library!" She said, barely concealing her excitement. She looked at the different kinds of books, like the classics: Frankenstein, Gone with the Wind, The Great Gatsby(am I speaking your language yet, bookworms?), etc. Her friend entered the room and chuckled as she looked at all the books. "What am I going to do with all of these?" her friend wondered. "You should make a library! People'd love it!" Cecil squealed. "Come on, please think about it!! So many people love these books, and you can't possibly read all of these! Of course I could, but it would be a great chance to gain the public's friendship, and you'd just be well-known as the pet with the big house and an INDOOR LIBRARY!

The friend grinned. "I have a better idea. You can have your OWN library. You can lend it to people, but it's all yours. Interested?" Cecil was so excited! She loved the books there, and her friend was just letting her use all of it? Awesome! "OH MY GOSH! Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Cecil jumped for joy!
To this day, the library is called Cecil Public Library.

This is really cool! =D I'd love to see your writing! <3

Picture: Image
Name: Pyramus
Gender: Male
Age(kid, preteen, teen, early adult, mid-adult, late adult): Teen. He's about two and a half in cat years, but he has the personality of a sixteen year old human.
Human/Animal: He is an angelic spirit in the shape of a golden cat.
Bit of personality: He is a character from my novel. He is confident, kind, but sometimes uncertain or overly talkative. In the physical realm he watches over his best friend, Thrifty (a white alleycat with the maturity of a twenty year old human), and helps their gang destroy evil crows. Despite his charm, he can get kind of down when the evil forces seem to be winning over the good ones.

I'd love to get a free short story about him from you to add to my collection of fanfiction! Seeing your take on this character would be fun and, as a writer, I'm glad to see you enjoy making stories for others! ^_^

Thank you so much! I'm working on it now! I do enjoy it a lot and it's good practice if I want to make a story for someone! I'd love to write novels like you, but I mostly just enjoy what I'm doing: writing short stories.

Pyramus and Thrifty find a new..hobby?

Pyramus was going through some old magazines that he found in a dumpster nearby when he found a magazine with the cover title Is your old routine getting a bit too predictable? Check our new article out for help! "Huh." He hadn't really ever thought about the old crime fighting job getting boring or predictable, but he was open to new things! Besides, reading can be fun, right? He flipped to the page, number 18, and started reading. "When things get a little too dull, sometimes all you have to do is pick up an in between hobby. Whether that's baking, sewing, scrapbooking, or even mere taking a walk in the afternoon can change up your day! Want some variety? Maybe you should try knitting! Knitting is very easy once you get used to it. Turn the page to keep reading. If you want to know more about the effects it can have on your everyday life, keep reading." Pyramus nodded, the information sinking into his brain. This sounded like fun! "Hey Thrifty! Come check this out!" He called over Thrifty, who was looking for food in a nearby trashcan.
"Doesn't this sound like fun? Listen. 'Knitting can change the impact you have on life by seeing the variety in simmany things. Whether that's meeting all kinds of people, finding different types of culture, or just plain having a new learning experience. Knitting can also be used as a survival skill, in the case that you need ropelike structures, or different things put together sturdily, or calming yourself down. Knitting can also earn you some cash.' Doesn't that sound awesome? Knitting could not only make things more interesting, but can earn us some money. Can we try it?" Thrifty took the magazine from Pyramus and reread the parts. He nodded and seemed to like the concept. "Sounds cool to me. All I'm wondering is, how are we going to get needles and yarn?"

Thrifty still didn't know how he did it, but Pyramus got the items needed to knit, for himself and Thrifty. Following the directions listed in the magazine, they tried and they worked to finally make a sweater for each of them. "Sweet! Now, we could sell them for some money!" Usually, you'd think that two cats couldn't sell sweaters without a bit of confusion. They just needed a sign, someone to advertise(Thrifty) and someone to take the cash/distribute the sweaters(Pyramus).

"Meow meow meow!(Come buy a sweater for the cold weather conditions coming soon!" People came from all around to see what the commotion was about and why it was such a big deal. To see two cats making decent quality sweaters(considering the fact that A., one was an angelic spirit and B., they weren't getting any cat hair on them) was a sight to see.

By the end of the week following, they had sold over 100+ sweaters and were racking the cash. They were filthy rich. Soon, advertisements were up almost everywhere about the two cats making and selling sweaters with their picture, location, and everything. But, everyone and everyTHING saw where they were living. Including the evil species they were trying to avoid/fight off. The evil crows.

They came in as a flock, seeming like harmless regular crows, but then they took turns dive-bombing into Pyramus and Thrifty's makeshift workshop. The two cats fought back, though. While customers were pushing and shoving to see what was going on. The crows ripped through the yarn material and the newly made sweaters, while Pyramus and Thrifty ripped through the flock, trying to get them away but also to defeat them in such a way they'd never mess with the cats again. This took a minimum of 5 minutes to finish the fight. When all was done, there was a big smoke cloud where the whole alleyway stood.

After the smoke cleared, Pyramus and Thrifty stood proudly in the rubble, having saved the day once again. The crowd applauded, then slowly decreased in number.
"Never talk about this again?"
"Agreed."
The two friends padded off into whoknowswhere, carrying their buttload of cash with them.

The End!

Alright!! Working on yours now!

Pickles Gets Into A Pickle!

Pickles saw something that looked like a lot of fun. A box! This was no ordinary box, though. His owner had brought this home after work let out early. It was a huge box, though. It looked like a castle from where Pickles stood. Nonetheless, it looked fun to play in.

Maybe it has lots of room for me and my friends! It could have a party room, or a room just for naptime. Or, it could have a---

Pickles didn't have time to finish his thought, for his owner came to where Pickles was sitting, marveling the box. "Like what you see, boy? It's all yours. My boss didn't know what to do with it and they thought you might like to play with it." Yes! That was what Pickles liked to hear. He had no hesitation! He leaped in the box.

It's quite roomy in here. And dark. That's okay. I like dark. Just like that one TV show when the screen is gray and no sound comes out! Too bad it's not on that much. Sometimes "Color" makes a guest appearance! And "Sound"! Maybe we can get a tv in here! Ooh, that'd be awesome.

Pickles then remembered that he was scared of the dark.

"Oh no!! Help me!! I don't like it in here!!"

Thank goodness that his owner caught in to what he was saying and helped him out of the box. He loved his owner a lot.
