If Liberty has one thing under his belt, it's a vast knowledge. He's been one of those weird kids that loves books his whole life. He just geuinely enjoys learning and books. He's always been more than just a few steps above those his age. His mind works at an accelerated rate. Due to this, he has been teased and bulllied through his life. Liberty hasn't really stood for it though, standing up for himself.

Due to how he functions and how he grew up, Liberty doesn't have many friends or those that are close to him. The few he has he holds on to tightly. He would do anything for the people that have proven themselves worthy of his trust. He is the type to push you away until you hold onto him. Once you get to the level that he gives in, he'll never let go. But at the same time, his trust is very fragile. Breaking his trust is almost like breaking him and he will never ever forgive you.

Due to his past and how he lived, Liberty really doesn't have faith or trust in most things. Don't talk to him unless you have proof. He won't completely ignore your idea or be rude to you for having that idea, but he sure as heck isn't going to agree or something. Nope, Liberty is doubtful of all but lets others have their fantasies. He likes saying that his eyes see the truth.

Liberty's filter? Yeah it was broken a long time ago. It's true that he can refrain from saying some things, but whatever he says he does not sugarcoat. He finds no need for it. His whole childhood was sugarcoated that his parents were just too busy for him and loved him a lot but he found out that they didn't even care. He doesn't want to give others the heartbreak he had finding that out so he just spares sparing their feelings.

Liberty is a genius. His strength is in learning and he's not giving up on it. I mean the guy is 21 and is going to Law School! He makes big goals for himself and he fully intends to reach each and every one. He looks down on others with disdain when they sell themselves short, something he swore to himself never to do. Liberty will never, ever, give up on his pursuit to be the best him he can be.

Weaknesses;; None he'd like to admit, but he's extremely socially awkward
Quirks;; He actually has a stereotypically girls habit of "eating" his hair when nervous
Liberty will never ever ever eat his ice cream after it has melted. He won't even look at it

Phobias;;
needles - trypanophobia- Needles have never been Liberty's forte. Why would they be? As a baby he was a bit sickly and underdeveloped so needles became his life force. He hatess needles

abandonment- athagoraphobia - This is primarily due to his parents. He is terrified of being abandoned by those he loves and cares about so much, that he doesn't really let himself get close to others.

During a snowy night at a hospital in England, an amazing baby was coming into the world, shrieking his little head off. His mother was exhausted, staring at her child. She could already see that he'd have his grandma's hair. She was displeased with this. Why would her son have hair like a woman? She'd cut it for him. Her husband came in, an empty look on his face. "He looks... high quality." He remarked.
Mayumi glared at her husband, "Is my child not up to par for your demands, Min?" She said his name like it was trash.
"Our child Mayumi. And he's good enough. But I have to get back to work soon. Never a day of rest."
"Wow your son is born and you don't even care. Whatever, you never did." Mayumi looked at her baby. She didn't feel the great bond to her child that every other mother seemed to feel. Honestly she was kind of disappointed. Clearly her husband couldn't care about her, why did she expect their child to change that?
"I'll call you Liberty. Maybe one day you'll be free..." Mayumi hugged him, deciding she'd try to fill in where his father couldn't.

    She didn't.

By the time Liberty was five, his parents didn't speak to each other. Ever. He was a smart kid and from a young age they both instilled everything they knew into him. They had put math equations in front of him from the time he was one and a half. He eventually became the messenger between his parents, telling Min to put the toilet seat down, telling Mayumi to tell the maid to make dinner... it was normal for him. He was always really confused when he saw couples being romantic or spending time together when he went out with his Inay. Mayumi had really tried to take care of her son and spend time with him, but she was a surgeon, and a good one at that. But Liberty was used to it. He'd grown up that way. But on his sixth birthday, it all changed... Well, not really. Mayumi talked to her husband for the first time in two years to give him divorce papers. She marched right into his job office and threw them onto his desk.
"I want out. You don't acknowledge me, our son is developing clear attachment issues, and honestly this marriage was never going to work." She bluntly stated, shooting out the facts.
Min didn't even flinch and looked over the papers, "Alright. You can't have the kid though."
    "Why not?"
"You're home barely more than I am. You wouldn't be able to trust him with the maids. He'd basically stay with your mom and dad. Let them keep him. You can keep working and make more cash and we can both give him the money he needs to survive without having to care for him. Easy solution."
Mayumi's jaw dropped, "You want me to give my son to my mom and dad so you don't have to have any responsibility!?"
Min raised an eyebrow, "Darling, we already have no responsibility. You spend ten minutes with him on a daily basis. Just admit it. You don't have time for him. And your parents adore him."
Mayumi stared her husband down. "Fine."

What they didn't know, was that Liberty was at home alone, celebrating his lonely sixth birthday. His mother had told him that she'd be there that night and have a present for him. That present was going to be a new house for the both of them... it became the day his life changed.. or didn't really anyway.

When Liberty had fully moved in with Inay and Itay, they gave him a nice room downstairs with a view of the back garden. It has a lot of bookcases filled with books far above Liberty's grade level. These helped him become who he is now. He began to work super hard, thinking maybe his parents wanted him to be as successful as they were before they'd notice him. He worked so hard, becoming one of the smartest kid in his class, his school, his district... Eventually the smartest kid in his city. He loved it. By this point he didn't care about his parents, no he was going to be the best for himself!

He got enrolled in Standford and the rest is history... or future.

    by me
I finally found my old journal from all these years ago... I used to love writing in this thing. Stories, ideas, even attempts at doodles. I don't know why I ever attempted to draw. I feel the need to re-introduce myself. I am Liberty Phoenix Manaois. Since my name is far too hippy and freedom-fighter for me, most people call me Li. Well they call me Lee, and then I proceed to just walk away because my name is not Lee. It's Li. An i is very much different from two e's. They are pronounced the same, but it just drives me crazy.

I suppose you may be interested as to why I seem to have just disappeared, despite me keeping you through thick and thin. Well I got into Secondary School and then I got busy. After that I went to America for University. I'm taking a year off for relaxation and then I'll head back. Can I just say, the people there are insane? I thought the people over here were obnoxious. Over there it's as if they have a grudge against sleep. Bless the heart of the poor soul that attempts to go to bed before two A.M. the day anyone decides to have a party. Even if you live off campus, you will hear it! Stanford is supposed to be a prestigious school, full of smart people. I was already there before I realized that being academically intelligent doesn't always actually mean you're intelligent. Don't even get me started on trying to study when your stupid roommate brings in some girl who probably doesn't even remember who she is anymore. Ugh. It was filthy. I got kicked out of my own room on multiple occasions.

I'm sure you're probably chastising me like everyone else, talking about how I should try to be social and not be uptight. I can't help it, though. Most people are so stupid and not goal-oriented. I set my goals earlier in my life and I think I turned out well.

Speaking of wellness, Inay and Itay are getting quite old very quickly. It's scaring me. I'm so worried that when I go to law school, they'll pass away and I won't even be here. It's a valid fear. They're getting old. Not to mention Nanay Mayumi and Abba have stopped visiting as often when I moved away. I don't know why, because Nanay Mayumi should keep visiting her parents...

I'll change the topic. Today I got some new bracelets. They're pretty feminine but they were so gorgeous I couldn't resist. One of them I got Itay and Inay engraved onto it. It's more of a cuff than a bracelet honestly. My feathers are wrapped around my wrists as well, often causing them to be drowned out by the colors and designs of my various bracelets. I officially have exactly 108 bracelets after the nine I bought today.
