Postby Tyersal » Sun Apr 03, 2016 11:35 pm

Welcome, fellow creative people, to my little corner of is forum.

I will post the story I'm currently writing here.
Kids under 7 should ask their parents before reading this, but my 9 year old sister is ok with it so it should be fine for everyone.

Please PM me with ideas for the name because as of right now, I do not have one. :geek:
Feel free to comment ideas and critique

Enjoy!

Chapter 1

"Come on guys, get up!"
Dylan woke to the sound of his friends voice, which seemed ten times louder than it actually was due to the silence of the early morning. *Here We go again* he thought. The others were already up and running. Soon they were all tearing across the dewy green field, towards the forest.
"Is it the choppers again, Dyl?"
Dylan took a glance to the skies behind. "Yeah," replied the boy. "Why couldn't you look yourself?" He asked
"Because if I try to run forward and look backward, I'll end up falling onto my face!" The girl joked, but Dylan knew she was serious. Rachel wasn't one to multi task.
He kept running until his feet hit the floor of the forest, and he heard the crunch of leaves under his feet. He jogged to the others, by the river. "That was a close one!" Dylan said, sitting down next to Alex.
"Yeah. They almost got us that time..." The blonde boy replied.

Chapter 2

~2 Weeks Earlier~

Dylan stared out the window as the landscape rushed by. *If only school wasn't so boring* he thought. Rain drops raced down the glass, the 'winner' reaching the bottom as the bus pulled in at Highston Academy.
The dark haired boy trudged into the canteen and straight away spotted his friends. "Hey Guys!" He called, cheering up as he headed towards them. Dylan's 'group' consisted of 5 other people; Alex, his golden-haired best friend, Jacob and Taylor, black haired and often referred to as 'the green eyed freckle twins' even though they are not, in anyway, related. Then there was Emily and Rachel . Two best friends who could be no more different personality wise in Dylan's opinion. Rachel had white blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, while Emily had light brown hair with a few natural blonde highlights and green eyes.
"What've you got first?" Taylor asked Dylan.
"Maths then English." Dylan replied, rolling his eyes. "I have boring classes that I'm flunking, it's raining and there is no PE today. Could this get any worse?" He joked

Little did he know how bad it would actually get.
~•~
Dylan felt something against his hand. Rachel had slid a note onto his desk. "WHY is Mr Clark wearing that neon pink jumper? It's punishment enough to see him anyway, without him blinding us!" Dylan laughed quietly. "I don't know. I think he stole it from Lily Stevens after she wore it into class last week!" He scribbled onto the paper and passed it back.
Seconds later he got another note carefully slid onto his desk. "It wouldn't surprise me...xD"
Dylan was away to write down a reply, when suddenly a crash came from the floor above, and the fire alarm started to ring.

Chapter 3

The whole class started to panic, all rushing for the door. Poor Mr Clark was quickly swarmed as he fumbled to open the door. "Please exit in a calm and orderly fashion." He shouted in his raspy voice, almost unheard over the scream of students and wailing of the siren. Next thing Dylan knew he was out of the classroom and trying to find his friends. He was quickly swallowed up in the sea of pupils flowing out onto the games field.
"Dylan!" Dylan heard a voice shouting his name. "Dylan! Over here!" Dylan headed towards the voice and appeared beside Alex, Taylor and Jacob. "Where are the girls?" He asked, worried.
"I'm sure they're fine. They'll find us soon." No sooner than Jacob spoken the words the girls materialised in front of them.
Emily was frantic. "Guys, we need to get out of here.! It's a bomb about to explode in the science classrooms, the ones with the gasses in..."
~•~
She gasped for breath, but she needed to say no more. The 6 of them were off and running towards the other side of town.
They had barely reached the edge of the school grounds when the bomb exploded. Thrown backwards by the blast, the group struggled to stand back up.Rachel was sitting, staring at the smouldering remains of the school. "It's gone." She said softly, as if she didn't believe it. "It's actually gone."
Bodies were scattered everywhere, screams filled the air, the sirens of fire engines screeched high above the noise.
Through all the chaos now erupting on the once peaceful site of the nations best high school, Dylan noticed something strange. "Guys, I can hear the sirens, but there are no engines..."
"There! Those trucks!" Alex pointed across the field. Black trucks with green flashing lights were pulling up in their hundreds. At first Taylor and Jacob had started running towards them, thinking it was help, but now they were turning back. The group watched in horror as men in black uniforms started knocking people out and piling them into the vans. Rachel was the first to react. "We need to move. Now."
