Samantha "Sam" Hartnett, aka Sammy, is a rebel who lives inside the forest at night and scouts the streets during the day. In summer, shedded her lupine pelt, she goes to Oak Grove High, teaming up with other daredevils. Her lupine appearance has a shaggy look to it, her face dark, showing off brilliant muddy-colored eyes. She has a cream chin, chest and ears, and is reddish-brown on her underbelly and coat. Her tail is tipped with black, a cream stripe going up her tail to her tailbone.
Her personality is serious, demanding, and understanding whilst she still acts courageous & brave in times at need.

While she is somewhat considered mysterious and rebellious to the humans at Oak Grove High School, she is strongly respected when it comes to her cleverness and courage against bullies and foes. She's been warned many times of her acts of skipping whole months of school in the winter, making her untrusted when it comes to the school's teachers and staff.
Sam has no parents, she is a runaway and lives in a car she bought years ago. It smells of her Lupine skin and alcohol, but she tries to keep her body and mind (and for that matter, car) in right shape no matter what happens.
