Perhaps no one will know.

Zyphr stared at his Bloody hooves, tears in his eyes.

Since Chazz had preformed one if his many spells on him, he had grown reindeer hooves. Sure- his speed was terrific, and bumpy terrain never effected him, but he missed his old look.

He missed being a purebred dog in a family of archers.

A butcher knife was beside him on his desk, which had tiny droplets of blood on it. He had attempted at trimming his hooves, but the knife slipped.

He groaned in pain, lapping the wound. It hurt a lot, but at least his hooves looked nice and new now.

He heard a knock, and began to panic. "I-"

Before he could say anything, Souls busted in with a grin. "Do I was thinking, after we-" the butterfly Wolf froze.

"I was trimming my hooves and the knife slipped." he said bluntly. "Not lying. You try this with only two fingers."

"Why would you even trim hooves? And even if so, why with a KNIFE?" Souls questiond, getting a shrug in reply. He sighed, shaking his head. "I'll get the bandages."

Zyphr nodded, before calling to him again. "Souls," he called, and he poked in again. "Don't tell anyone. They'll think I'm crazy."

"You ARE crazy. But I won't. " He mused, vanishing.

Zyphr sank back against his seat, staring at the wall. " Note to self- don't use a knife."

Duke was curled up under one of the many medow trees, sleeping soundly on his little nest of branches and clovers. That was until someone landed on him. He growled in a puppy like manner, pushing the person off then rolling on his back, paws in the air.

"Duke."

No response.

"DUKE.

No response.

"DUUUUKE!!"

No response.

"DUKE THE MEDOW'S ON FIIIRE!"

The green dragon jolted up, looking around in panicked circles. "What- where-?!" Realizing Morpheus had tricked him, he sighed, stretching out his back with a grunt. "What now?"

"Angelo was looking for you. Sorry I had to yell though." he said meekly, watching Duke lumber down the path.

He watched him, sighing sadly. The dragon never liked him, even before he had received wings from a learning Necromancer. He began walking off in his own direction. After a while, he heard the pitter-patter of feet behind him. He looked back, noticing a crouching Duke was behind him, staring at him with wide yellow eyes.

"Morphy,"
"What?"
"We're buds, right? Despite our family hatred?"
"I suppose," Morpheus mused, Duke smiling before running off. The rat crow shook his head, before flying off, back to where Chazz was waiting for him.

Vesper X Zyphr

The wind hissed past Zyphr's alert ears, the rainstorm wasn't stopping anytime soon. But that wasn't going to make him go home anytime soon, either.

With each arrow fire at the set target before him, more anger flared in his light brown eyes. The arrow snapped him his hoof's grip, and he sighed, throwing it aside. Luck just wasn't on his side today.

How many more times could Vesper reject him? He tried every year to win over the heart of the young warrior. But he was always rejected. Now he knew how Jaden feels about Attacus.

Attacus had reshaped Vesper during his apprenticeship, teaching him that 'love blinds the brain but overshadows the heart' whatever that meant, and it probably meant love was for fools. As far as he knew, Jaden was no fool, but still loved the bitter black wolf.

He blinked when he heard pawsteps, looking back.

There was little Vesper, staring at him with wide eyes as he sat on all fours.


"What?" he growled, turning to face the little green dog with his three tails lashing.

Vesper just looked down, his ears flattening. "I just wanted to apologize, I-"

"You break every emotion in my body, then all you say is sorry?" Zyphr hissed, before turning away with a grunt. "I guess I was always a fool, wasn't I?" he muttered, beginning to walk away. But that stopped when he felt arms around his waste.

He looked back, Vesper nuzzling his head between his shoulder blades. "...I...changed my mind... Just.... Never mind about what he said, okay..?"

Zyphr's eyes widened, smiling back at him. He wrapped his arm around the younger boy's shoulder, pressing his muzzle against his forehead. "Let's go back, I'm sure Chazz is worried sick."

Vesper smiled, following him home in silence. Little did Zyphr know Attacus was following, with regret of everything he said.

"I'm actually rather excited! A brand new person to experiment on." Chazz grinned, Sparrow giving him a quick slap to the head. "Sparrow doesn't think that would be a good idea.' he said bluntly, looking at him expressionless.

"Listen here, bud! I'm in charge 'till master gets back, I treat the new guy how I like-"

"Now who exactly IS 'master', Chazz?"

"The best Necromancer AND doctor you'll ever meet in your 1000 years of life! " Chazz cheered, a wide grin on his face.

" The Plague Doctor. Chazz has a small thing for him-"

"SHAAAAAT UP." Chazz yelped, punching his shoulder somewhat lightly, before turning away with a flushed face.

"Brother," Diablo called, a grin on his face. Angelo floated over, smiling brightly."Yes brother?" he chimed innocently, sitting beside him.


"The newcomer is to arrive shortly. However, Chazz also has a small crush on his... "Master'."

" Is this so?" Angelo gasped, before laughing, gloating over to him. "I was wondering why his sheeks where as bright as those wonderful glowing eyes." He mused, poking Chazz lightly.

"Now that makes me wonder. How did he make you call him master? Was it a relationship thing?"

Chazz's face went a deep crimson. "GO PREPARE FOR THE NEW GUY. Why did I creature you miserable beings anyway."

Angelo and Diabke floated off, making kissy faces at him while doing so.

Chazz looked annoyed, but mostly hurt. One of his few glowing tears ran down from his face, Sparrow looking sorry.

The taller male hugged Chazz, resting his head on his. "They may judge, but no one knows how love feels until you fall in it. Sparrow thinks everything will be okay. Plague will come back, don't worry."

Chazz smiled, hugging him tightly. "Thanks Sparrow." he muttered, pulling away with a smile. He turned back to his desk, shuffling through papers.

Sparrow's eyes shadowed over by his fur, walking away with a sigh.


"Sparrow fell for Chazz too late. Sparrow needs to be alone."
