or how i walk away

after finding someone better
someone relatable

im trying to remember
he last time i felt okay around you
(the seventh grade)
the last time we hugged
(it was before winter break in '15)
the last time we hung out
(it was around the same time, i know)
the last time i knew i could trust you
(still sometime in december)
the last time you really seemed like yourself
(winter break)
the last time we had a real conversation
(winter break)
in other seasons, i could never remember
why i hated winter so much
but all of this is more than proof
