What im gonna say at my papa's funral

I need help and criticism on this letter I write for my papas funral which we are planning for he may not live for another week or so and he is only 74yes and he only has 1/4 heart valves working and he is suffering and enough with this rant. Please tell me if it can be written more better and if so how?

My Papa was a good man, he faught in wars for example; The Vietnam War. He was a good man, who loved his family dearly. He will be missed by all of us. He has taught me so many things and he made sure I never told lies and told me to do homework so I don't stay back. He told me jokes and told me to never give up. He has been a inspiration to me and I will graduate _th grade in his honor and he will never leave my heart. My heart is half and part of it is gone. I love my papa with all my heart. He will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace and we will see him again when our time comes. He will be waiting by the golden gate's for all of us. I love you Papa and may you rest in piece and enjoy your new life in heaven. Love you. May papa never be forgotten. I would like to sing this song called Slipped Away.
