Long Ago, two races ruled over Earth;
Human's and Monsters

One day, war broke out
between the two races

After a long battle,
the humans were victorious

They sealed the monsters
underground with a magic
spell

Legends say that those who climb
the mountain never return

And this is where our journey begins.

I do not own undertale, or any of the characters in it.

Falling. They were falling. Falling down a hole. Where exactly? Well, the monster world.

Then suddenly, a muffled thump sounded out as they finally hit the ground on a soft bed of yellow flowers. They laid there on their back for a few moments before slowly getting up. Memories of what had happened started flowing through their head as they clutched it with both hands, pain spreading throughout their temples. They had came up here to disappear for awhile, but ended up tripping and falling. They looked up, seeing the faint light of the sky above where they had once been.

Gathering enough courage, they started walking down a path that lay infront of them, walking into an elegant designed doorway. Once they entered, they saw a small yellow flower, smiling before them. They hesitantly made their way towards it, the smile sending some shivers down their spine.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the Flower! You look new to the underground, so let me teach you everything you need to know!"

With that, a heart appeared before them, moving in sync with their chest for everything they did.

"See that? That's your soul, the very culmination of your being! You start off weak, but once you get enough lvl, you'll grow stronger!
What does lvl stand for? Why love of course! Down here, love is shared through little white.. 'friendly-ness pellets. Here, I'll share some of mine with you."

With that, the flower winked, and some of those small 'friendly-ness pellets' being sent at them.
They quickly dodged, an annoyed look on the flower's face.

"Hey buddy, you missed them. Let's try again." With that, more of the pellets where sent at them, and they dodged. The flower's face then became completely intwined with anger. "What are you, brain dead?!?!??? RUN INTO THE BULLETS--- friendly-ness pellets" For the final time, the flower sent the pellets at them, and they narrowly missed them.

The flowers face then became twisted with anger and what seemed to be insanity.
"Y O U K N O W W H A T S G O I N G O N H E R E , D O N T Y O U? Y O U J U S T W A N T E D T O S E E M E S U F F E R. N O W I T ' S Y O U R T U R N. D I E" the flower let out a cackle, and the white bullets surrounded them, slowly closing in. Then, the flowers face turned confused, then shocked, and went flying as he was hit by a fireball. A tall, white goat-like creature came quickly, worried spread across their face. "Oh my poor child, being tortured by a flower. I am Toriel, caretaker of these ruins. Could you please tell me your name?"

They didn't say anything for a few seconds, but then responded. "M-my name is-"

A child had fallen down into the monster world by mistake. They had met Flowey, who had try to attack and kill them. But, luckily, Toriel had saved them, telling the child who she was. We left off at Toriel asking for the child's name.

"M-my name is Quinn.." They stuttered, looking up at Toriel. "Do not worry, my child, I will not harm you. Come, I shall take you to my home." Toriel turned around, walking into another elegantly made doorway. Quinn hesitated, but followed after her quickly, not wanting to lose her.

Walking through the doorway, Toriel stood before them. They grew close to her, but then she walked off again. This gave Quinn a chance to get a better look of the room. They saw red flowers petals arranged in a square, but they had not the slightest chance why. There were also a big pile of the petals farther back, with a sparkling golden thing there. They walked close to the sparkle, touching it. Quinn then noticed shadows looming above them, and for some reason, this filled them with determination. They then walked up one of the flights of stairs that were also there, forgetting what had just happened. She followed Toriel through yet another elegant doorway.

The next room had six large buttons on the purple floor, a lever on the purple walls, and darker purple doors outlined in black. "Welcome to your new home innocent one. Allow me to educate you in the operation of the ruins." Toriel said softly, before stepping on some of the buttons in a certain pattern, and then flipped a lever, opening the doors, which led to the ruins.
