The forgotten one { Hazard cat try out || Personality }

    Kendryek, better known as Kenny, is a rather quiet kid that doesn't say or do much. He's much more focused than his apparent sister that he hasn't seen in forever, and most can call them polar opposites. Kenny usually has this negative perspective of the world, rather than a positive. He doesn't see the world in a bright light, more of this dark and horrible place. It's actually quite sad, him being so young and having such a bad outlook on life. Kenny doesn't seem to be very trusting of others and quite frankly why would the young cat be? After abandoning Kaliyah with his father and mother, he was journeying with his parents to the legendary dragons peak, where other winged beasts awaited. He wasn't strong enough to make the journey, so his parents left him. He grew up so far without feeling what love truly was, and has never experienced this emotion. He's rather awkward with those his own age, not getting the common jokes that you normally would understand.

    Quirks
    Sleeps upside down;;
    This is a tendency he grew to enjoy. His wings are rather large and make it uncomfortable for him to sleep so he simply hooks onto a tree branch or something else using his tail and sometimes his wings and dozes off. He was never real worried about the blood that rushes to his head or anything, it never affected him in any way and he believes that he was meant to sleep this way. He has gotten some questionable looks from others, but he never really cared. Kaliyah does it as well, so he doesn't feel as awkward when doing it anymore.

    Constantly washes his wings;;
    Homestly, he's always been quite the clean freak when it comes to his wings. He's always 'preening' them in some way, as a bird would with feathers. He looks awkward, trying to hold one wing over half his size down and scrub it with his paws or soaking moss and clean it off. It never seems to work out for him, but he tries. He doesn't like the feeling of dirt on his wings, she states that it slows him down when he flies. It's rather odd, he isn't much to care for appearance. His fur is commonly found with matted dirt and such, but his wings are always perfectly clean. He claims that if he needs to get away from something the dirt and grime will only slow him down. To test his theory, he rubbed dirt and grime on his wings (after debating on if he should actually do this) to see how fast he would fly. With the added weight he flew a second slower that without anything, but this is questionable as he only tested it on himself.

    Squeaks when scared;;
    Mr. Tough and Antisocial squeaks like a little mouse when scared. He doesn't like it, but he can't help it. It comes out as more of a high pitched scream of sorts, he sounds like a girl and is always getting teased by Kaliyah and the other members in the group when he decides he wants to be around them.

    Fears
    Abandonment;;
    After going through the abandonment he experianced with his parents, he fears anyone and everyone else possibly leaving him again. Poor Kendryek doesn't want to deal with this, and instead of trying to deal with the problem he just isolates himself in his own world, sticking to the only other cat he knows: Kaliyah. He doesn't dare care for any other cat, although he does wish to meet others. It's an internal conflict of yes, meet the cat or no, don't meet the cat.

    Ice;;
    Even though he can fly, that doesn't change the fear he was about ice. He actually hates it more than he fears it, and doesn't exactly know why. Just the idea of falling though the ice and drowning in the icy cold waters, nobody being able to help you as you struggle, it just scares him. Actually, it terrifies him. He refuses to go near lakes in the winter, whether it's flying over or walking near a large lake. He would rather wait all winter to get to where he needs to go. He gets terrifies when he sees Kaliyah excitedly skating over the top with her paws, she doesn't understand the dangers of it.

    Humans;;
    "I always see them walking around, what bitter things they are. Not the kits, but the big ones. Always shooting glares at me, cursing or hissing something I don't understand. I walked past a meat shop and the butcher came out and started to chase me! Ugh, he was terrifying and I still don't understand why humans are so threatened by me. Literally they could kick me and I would go flying, im rather small. There are those few that have compassion, but right now it doesn't seem like that."
    Kendryek is a tiny hazard, and with angry two-legged creatures hiss at him or threaten him it's rather terrifying, wouldn't you be afraid? He doesn't know or use his third eye power, but wouldn't even if he had to if it meant hurting a human, he can't imagine what a group of angry humans would do to him if he hurt one.

The forgotten one { Hazard cat try out || History }

Postby Chimericect » Fri Feb 05, 2016 1:40 pm

    "Look Gwain, he's opened his eyes." said a feminine voice. It was soft, soothing, comfortable. It seemed sweet, a calm and happy mother purring madly. "Ah, he has your eyes." Said a deeper, more masculine voice. This one seemed threatening, and put the young kit on edge for a moment. "Hello little Kendryek." His mother purred. Kendryek looked around, a whole new sensation flooding into his noggin at once. Seeing the world for the first time can be a terrifying yet amazing thing, seeing your family just as great. He studied his father, a larger black cat with medium sized bag wings and fangs protruding from his mouth. His soulless black eyes gleamed in the slight light that came in through the cave entrance. His mother was a small thing, but Ken was even smaller. His mother was a lighter brown color with glistening blue eyes like his own. His father grinned madly, a hint of insanity edged his crooked smile. "I'm glad he opened his eyes so quickly, they'll be ready to go before sun down." He stated proudly. His mother nuzzled the other two tenderly, a little black bat kit shifting and widening her eyes as well. She had the same icy eyes as Kendryek, but dofter. She had a sweet smile on her face as she shoot out to expose her large wings, her father chuckling madly. "Splendid! just one more to go!" He stated. Kendryek eased away, nervous about his father. Then there was the third kit, who was smaller and much more awkward than himself. She didn't move, only shivered as the warmth of her littermates left her.

    As the day went on his father grew impatient. "We have to go." He hissed, picking up kens mother by the scruff and leaving his tiny little sister on the hard, cold floor. Ken widened his eyes in alarm and immediately rushed to his sisters side. "Kendryek, what are you doing?" His father screeched, anger and bitterness in his voice. Kendryek opened his mouth to speak the awkward words that seemed to come naturally for him. "I..I.." He stammered. His mother spoke, her voice much less soft than before. "Gwain! We can wait one more day for our daughter." She hissed, claws extending from her tiny paws.

    Ken watched his parents pace across the cave they called home, listening half-heartedly to them speak."She isn't going to make it, she's too small, the runt." His father hissed, his black eyes staring into his mothers icy blue eyes. "We must leave her behind." He added, staring bitterly into his little sisters direction. Kendryek frowned. We can't just leave her behind, can we? He thought, outstretching his large wings and trying to fly over to his whispering parents. It was awkward, but manageable. "We can't just leave Kaliyah here, father." Kendryek growled. He may have been young but he knew it wouldn't be right to abandon his sister. It didn't seem like the descicion was going to be changed anytime soon. His mother and father had made their decision, and he knew it wasn't the right one. Nevertheless Kendryek didn't protest, what else could he do? So, they left. "Momma?" Kaliyah called out as they flew away. Kendryek felt an immediate pang of guilt, he didn't dare look back."Mom..." He whispered, struggling to keep up. His mother said nothing, seeming to pretend it wasn't happening. Just then Kendryek heard Kaliyah's squeaky little voice. "Wait, I can fly! I can come too! Don't leave me, momma! Da-" She stopped. Kendryek widened his eyes as he watched her fall, fruitlessly flapping her wings but to no avail. "She's falling! We have to help her! Somebody save her! We have to..!" He was stopped as his father turned around and snarled im his face. "She was weak, she would've died anyway. Let's go, we have a long journey ahead of us."

    He wasn't wrong. It has already been three days, Kendryeks other sister and he were exhausted from the extreme amount of flying. "Kendryek I can't do this." She whimpered, starting to fall behind. Ken was falling back as well, unable to keep up, however the fear of what his father may do was there and it pushed him to keep going. "You can do it, you have to. Please Kayleigh, we have to go." Kendryek begged, trying to get Kayleigh to push on. "They'll leave you, they'll let you die." He added quietly, his voice shaking with fear. Kayleigh didn't seem to want to, she looked exhausted. "Ok Kenny." She simply whispered, waiting for nightfall to come. Kendryek sighed, clearly relieved. That's when his father flew closer to them and growled. "We're almost to our resting point, hurry up."

    Kendryek landed onto the ground hard, the resting point being rather dull and quiet, no other life seeming to thrive was around. Nonetheless it was perfect for resting after the long distances they had flown.They ate, recovered and seemed to be perfectly fine. "I hope you're okay to travel now, the next checkpoint is a full day away." His mother stated, stretching out her tiny bat body as they prepared to leave once again.

    Snow, it had to be snow. Kendryek didn't like it, not at all. It was cold, hard to fly in, and rather annoying. The wind blew him in all directions, the snow blinding him every so often. He had no idea where his family even was at this point, they were just small colored blobs in the air. "Ma, Pa!" Kendryek called. "It's too much, I can't fly!" He screamed, the wind howling over his own squeaky voice. Then it froze up, his wings. They grew cold, and with the little experiance he had with snow he wasn't used to the sensation of freezing. That's when he fell, screeching into oblivion as he prepared to die.

    Imagine how much of a shock it was when he forcefully hit the snow. How ironic, what had caused him to fall is also what saved him. He wasn't too keen on it, the snow. It was cold, everywhere, and it seemed to just keep coming. "Hello?" He yelled out, hopping over the mounds of snow as his calls drowned in the roaring wind. His body shook terribly, consumed by the deathly white mass. Not too much longer he collapsed, once again awaiting his inevitable fate.

    He awoke in a daze, his vision blurry and unclear. He looked around, the white snow raging around him. "Still not dead." He murmured, trying to walk and focus his vision. He bounded over the snow, using his wings like a shield to protect from anything else that could hurt him. That's when, after what felt like days of trudging through the white terrain, he met a local cat that helped show him the way out of the mountains, as well as gave him food and someone he could somewhat trust.

    He made his way to the woods, which were a scary place in his opinion. Especially at night, when he could hear the trees screeching "who?" at him, as if he knew what that meant. He had no clue how to hunt, or what was even edible here. His stomach rumbled madly, his paws ached and his eyes had deep bags under them. He was exhausted. "Maybe these are edible? Maybe they aren't..." He muttered, staring at berries. Eventually, hunger and curiousity gave in, he ate them. They were bitter, but not deadly, so he ate. He lived off of them for quite a few days before deciding he needed something else, something different. He stared up at the trees, listening to the vigorous chirps of birds. Maybe birds are edible. So, the hunting fiasco began. He was nowhere near silent, but he was quick, but not a killed. If he grabbed hold he would never be able to keep it. He grew frustrated, he couldn't seem to do anything. Over months he grew to be a good wild cat, using his sense of smell and large ears for hearing, trying to be more patient with himself.

    ---Meeting Kaliyah once again---
    He was proud, alone and proud. "I've finally got the hang of living out here, oh I wonder if my family ever made it. Well, no matter, I'm doing ju-" He was cut off by the sound of a branch cracking above him, and the scent of another creature. He scanned the area above him, looking closely until he met the eyes of the predator. A cat. Kaliyah. She stared at him intently, not afraid, but more curious. It has been almost a year since she had been abandon. She seemed to be wondering if she should go greet him or run away, Kendryek only stared blankly. "Ken?" Kaliyah whispered, her black eyes seeming to shine when he didn't attack. She quickly (and clumsily) flew down, landing in a wobbly frenzy in front of him. Ken stared, he wasn't sure what to do. "You're dead." He muttered, unsure of what to say. He sat down, narrowing his eyes at Kali. "I thought I was, but I wasn't! it's all okay! See, I'm alive, and so are you!" Kaliyah said excitedly, bouncing around Kendryek. Kendryek felt a small glow of happiness warm his heart, and he grinned.

    Kaliyah wrote:His twin sister who had 'died', you can imagine the shock when he first ran into her. He loves her, even if he doesn't seem to show it very much. He wouldn't admit it, he normally just sits there with an unamused look on his face and waits for her to stop being such an immature little kid. He doesn't really understand how she could be the way she is after what had happened with their family. Kendryek wants to protect her, even if he knows she'll be safe in this group of misfits that she's apparently befriended

    On the contrary Kaliyah, adores him although she remembers very little. She only remembered that he tried to stick up for her, and that's perfectly fine in her book.

    Icarius wrote:One word describes the feeling that Kendryek has for him: Hatred. Pure hatred. These two are always butting heads, Icarius trying to bark orders at Ken as if he were apart of that group. Ken despises him. He won't listen to Icarius' orders, no way. There is nothing Icarius does to make Ken respect and obey him. Ken may be a sourpuss but Icarius is dark, brooding, and nasty in his opinion. He doesn't apreciate the goo Icarius spits out at Ken, it actually quite hurts even if it's harmless. Ken doesn't understand how this cat could possibly be a leader, I mean he obviously hates the group. Can't seem to stand them, and yet he stays. Ken wouldn't take over, no, but would only listen to a leader that was better than Icarius.

    Four wrote:One of the other hazards in the group, he doesn't exacty have an opinion on her to be honest. It's kind of a mutual thing, respectful and quiet. They don't talk so much as they even ineract, but rather just kind of look at one another and walk past them as if nothing had happened. He acknowledges her presence at most, as does she, but really it's nothing more and never really will be. At least, that's what he thought.

    (after chatting with Willow more, we expanded their relationship a bit c:)
    Over time the twos respect for one another grew into a friendly relationship, both getting comfortable with one another's presence. No, it's not romantic, it would be a little odd if it were so, but a close friendship.
