idk what to call this

Hi guys! I haven't written anything in quite a while, and I haven't been active, but I felt a sudden pang of inspiration, I admit, and decided I wanted to write down something. I don't know if this will work out too well. If not I'll dump it.
I'll summarize it up a bit, I think, without too much spoilers:
-Tyson Lee Black lives in a farm, with his father and all the barn animals, seemingly a very childish story, but one day "something unexpected" happens as it always does in stories like these and while on a quest he meets Cheyenne Montgomery. I'm guessing now his life will change forever... Won't it?

i've been really inactive for the last 2 or 3 years,
but i regularly check my pms. if you need any
help, please send me a message! i'll be glad to
do anything i can to help. <3

" Tyson! Come here, lad! I want you to see this! "
      " Coming, Pa! "
It was early morning, and Tyson Black had taken off to the fields with his dog to see the sunrise like he always did when his father called him. He whistled to Zeus, his huge sheepdog, to follow him while he ran through the tall cornstalks, heading to the barn, in the direction of his father's voice. When Ty entered the barn his father motioned for him to approach behind an enormous haystack. What he saw left him amazed. Clover, their dairy cow who had wandered off pregnant a few days ago had returned with a calf and Tyson was surprised to see her, but also glad, and it was certain that she was there, licking her newborn calf's forehead lovingly.
" He's beautiful, isn't he? " His father asked him. Agreeing, Ty crouched down and rubbed Clover's ears, and then carefully approached the calf who backed away slightly at the sight of his reaching hand, but Clover pushed her son softly forward until the boy's hand was on the calf's warm nose, and the baby lost all fear, cuddling up to him. Clover was by all means one of his best friends, besides Zeus, his father and his stallion.
" So what should we name him? " The thought lingered in the boy's head before he answered. " Pip. "
" Pip it is. " His father smiled that warm smile of his, before getting up and walking in the direction of the door. " See you. "
Tyson sat down on the hay, leaning slightly against his dear Clover who had laid down by then, and looked up at the barn ceiling. It was such a warm morning. An awesome surprise, too. His eyes closed, he thought about the current week's happenings.
Pa had received a letter, which had changed him a lot. And no matter how much Tyson asked to see it, Pa wouldn't, and he would get so angry if Tyson tried to take it from him... The farm had become strange since the arrival of the letter.
Tyson felt Clover move and cuddle up with Pip, and he left them laying on the soft hay, got up, stretched and went outside, Zeus always at his feet.
Several hours later, Ty's plate clattered into the kitchen sink and he walked into the sitting room, where his father was resting with a newspaper on his lap. The boy readjusted his hair and his teeth moved around the short stalk hanging from his mouth, breathed deeply and stepped next to his father.
" Hmm, Pa, I was wondering.. About that letter. Now please don't interrupt me, don't, I am just worried sick over that dam' letter, you seem so nervous la'ely.. Could 'ya tell me about it? " A heavy silence stood between them after he finished speaking.
Finally, the farmer set down his newspaper, slowly, ever so slowly. His hands trembled slightly as he did so.
" Tyson. I want 'ya to understan', onc'and for all, tha' ain't no speaking subject for a kid like you. " Even right after he finished speaking, he knew right away he hadn't chosen his words well, as Tyson had spat the stalk onto the floor, stamped on it and took off. The father sighed deeply, set down his newspaper on the table slowly and took some time to think before heaving himself out of the chair and running over to the door. He had to stop Tyson, or the boy would do something irrational! He stopped in his tracks as his eyes darted from side to side in the doorway, and settled.
" Tyson! Lad, come back! " He cried, but it was no use. The boy had jumped on his stallion, Twister, and had taken off, Zeus running like a dart beside the galloping horse. The thought of going after him came into the farmer's mind, and he ran into the stables, but stopped short as he saw a note uncarefully pinned onto the notice board. 'Not coming back. Don't come for me.' It said, in a scribbled font. The farmer lowered his head. If only his son knew..
