Graystripe and LeafDrop's Story

The Backstory
GrayStripe sat by the lake with Firestar. They sat and looked into each other's eyes.
“Are you sure you want to leave?” Firestar asked
“I’m ready, my kits are grown up now and I feel like it’s time” Graystripe responded hesitantly
Firestar nodded, “I understand, may Starclan light your path.”
Graystripe “Good-bye Firestar, you were like family to me.” He nodded and stood up and started to walk away.


Graystripe was nearing the edge of the mountains. He looked over his shoulder as the Sun was almost gone. He looked around for a small place to rest for the night. He found a cave on the forest floor.He crawled in and found a couple of small mice. He settled in for the night and wanted to just go back home and be with Millie.


Graystripe woke with a start. His dream still wondering in his mind. He stretched and crawled out of the den.
“Hello” A she cat came face to face with him
“Uh-” Graystripe started “H-Hi…”
“What are you doing so far away from your home?”
“How do you know-”
“I know a lot about these forest cats.”
Graystripe took a second to look at the she, dark brown with lighter spots. “Who are you?” he asked observing the she.
“Oh, my name is Cookie, because of my pelt.” Cookie continued “What’s your name?”
“GrayStripe…” He said. “Say do you know a simple way around the mountain?”
“Yup, but it’s a day long” She said. “Follow me, we should get going quickly”
Cookie showed him the way around the mountain. They went through a tunnel that stunk like fox’s.
“So…” Cookie said awkwardly her voice echoing “Where are you going”
“Well as a kit I heard about two secret clans, but one of them just caught my attention. I heard about two cats before. And I need to find them.” Graystripe said..
“A clan?” She asked
“Yeah, Willowclan”
“Willowclan, I heard about that before, they live close by, I could get you there by dawn.” She said.
“Really!” I say with excitement in my eyes.
“Okay, try to keep up, it's going to be a long night”


Graystripe saw the morning fog lift off the damp grass
“Almost here” Cookie said with no hint of sleep in her voice
“How are you not-” He stopped at the sound of voices.
“We’re here!” She said “I’m going to have to leave from here, I haven’t met the clan, and I don’t think they would let me in, well it's been nice.” She said
“You too, I guess I’ll see you around.” Graystripe said his goodbyes and went into the entrance.

It has been 4 moons since Graystripe had joined the clan.
“Graystripe! Hey wait!”BrownStripe called out
“Yeah BrownStripe” Graystripe called to his best friend
“Can I get advice?” He asked
“Sure, what is it?” Graystripe was excited to help his friend out. Creamfern and Whitepelt were near but ignored the situation.
“So, I really want to become leader” he said and went on “And, I think I want to change things up, like rename the clan, Darkclan. Have you heard of Shadowclan, from the forest,”
“Yeah I came from Thunderclan, they are apart of the 4 clans”
“Okay, I want to be like them… Dark and Evil.”
Graystripe stared at BrownStripe.
“I want all this power and I want to have it all!” He said. “So what do you think?”
“No, that's not okay, you’re not like this BrownStripe!”
“Well Then, I guess we shouldn’t be friends!” he continued “And I was thinking of killing ThrushStar!”
I stared at him in awe and heard the gasps of CreamFern and Whitepelt.

Two Days Later
"Thrushstar" Graystripe asked looking over his shoulder
"Yes Graystripe?" The leader asked
"I need to talk to you, alone." He said eagerly.
"Alright" Thrushstar got up and went into his den "Now what is it?"
Graystripe took a deep breath. "Brownstripe is planning to kill you" he blurted
"Browstripe would never-"
"He asked me if I thought if it was okay" He interrupted
"I see," The leader said. "Thank you Graystripe, is that all?"
He nodded and left. When he left the den BrownStripe came face to face with him.
"You told him..." He growled
"I had too!" Graystripe hissed.
"How could you do this, I thought you were my friend?"
"It was the right thing to do." Graystripe said anger in his eyes.
"I'll get you back" BrownStripe growled, Creamfern and Whitepelt stayed close by the drama to make sure nobody would get injured.





Present
“I ThrushStar, leader of WillowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this Rouge. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn.”

“Cookie, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”

“I do.”
“Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cookie, from this moment you will be known as LeafDrop. StarClan honors your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WillowClan.”

“Leafdrop!” The clan chanted
Leafdrop looked over at Graystripe his eyes glittering. She hopped down and went over to sit next to him for the rest of the meeting. BrownStripe came up and faced me.
“Congratulation Leafdrop.” He said “Can I speak with you,”
“Sure, I’ll be right back Graystripe” She got up and walked away
“LeafDrop…”
“Yes?”
“I- I think I like you….”
“O-Oh, I-” She paused. “I think Graystripe is calling me” She lied and turned around.

The Next day...
LeafDrop sat and waited for the Sun to rise. She had been sitting Vigil since the Sun gone and it was now almost time to get some sleep. She waited until the sun was completely over the horizon to go back to camp.
"Glad to see you're fine" Graystripe purred and licked LeafDrop's ear.
"Yeah" She yawned
"You better get some sleep, you've got a big day tomorrow" Graystripe meowed and lead her to the den.
Leafdrop was sleeping peacefully when Graystripe left the den. He stretched and went to grab a thrush.
"Graystripe" BlueTail asked.
"Yes?" He said yawning.
"I need a word with you" She said hesitantly.
"Okay..." Graystripe said and followed her out of camp.
"Have you been talking to BrownStripe....." She asked.
"No but-" he was cut off.
"Because he's been talking with another cat, a rouge" She continued "I saw them yesterday and the rouge gave him death berries."
Death Berries! "And you think he's still plotting to kill Thrushstar...."
"I don't think it's Thrushstar anymore...." She said and checked over the the warriors den where Leafdrop was sleeping.
Graystripe's eyes widened and his heart dropped. He race over to the warriors den to see Leafdrop sleeping peacefully.
He sighed with relief and laid next to her. He felt her soft purr and her sent was sweet. He lay there until he heard rustling from the entrance. He watched closely leaning closer to Leafdrop.
"Graystripe..." Creamfern whispered.
"Yes....." He said looking at Creamfern.
"Leafdrop will be fine..." She soothed.
"I know, I'm just worried..." he began "I can't loose her."
"It'll be fine" Creamfern tried to sound calm.
"It's just BrownStripe, he's got death berries,and I'm worried." he said hesitantly.
"Death berries, we need to tell ThrushStar" She said dashing to the leaders den.
"ThrushStar!" She said fear in her eyes
"Brownstripe has Death Berries" Creamfern hissed.
"Get BrownStripe now" Thrushstar said.
Creamfern nodded and went to fetch him.
"Yes ThrushStar?" BrownStripe said walking in.
"You have Death berries?" The leader hissed
"What, no never!" He lied.
"I have my eyes on you, one wrong move and your gone" The leader said. Thrushstar didn't like to banish but BrownStripe was on the edge of becoming a rouge.
"Yes ThrushStar" BrownStripe said and turned around. He went into the Warriors den and Graystripe was laying next to Leafdrop.
"Death Berries, pfft non-sense"
GrayStripe let out a small growl in his throat.
"Huh-Wha-" LeafDrop was waking.
"Did you sleep well?" GrayStripe asked.
"Yeah," Leafdrop got up and stretched.
"We've got to go hunting, so lets grab so prey and go" Graystripe said eager to get away from BrownStripe.
"Okay" She went to the pile and sniffed a thrush. "This smells odd..." Leafdrop said cringing.
"A thrush?" Graystripe leaned in and sniffed. The sent of Death dangled in his mouth. Death Berries.
"A perfectly good Thrush wasted." Leafdrop sighed.
"I'll take care of this, you pick something that smells GOOD" Graystripe couldn't stress that enough.

After eating Graystripe and Leafdrop went hunting.
"GrayStripe" Leafdrop meowed starting to purr.
"Yes" He purred.
"I-I love you" She said blushing.
"I love you too," He purred and licked her ear.

Two Moons Later,
"Any day now...." SwallowFern said nudging a poppy seed toward Leafdrop. Leafdrop took the poppy seed.
"Is she going to be okay?" Graystripe said pacing around the den.
"I'll be fine, don't worry." Leafdrop soothed.
"Lets get her back to the nursery" SwallowFern said helping Leafdrop up.
After getting Leafdrop into the nursery and letting her settle in, Darkkit and Silverkit came up.
"When will the kits be born?" The asked
"Soon" Leafdrop said.
"What will be there-"
"Now DarkKit SilverKit, Leave Leafdrop alone, she needs her rest." DarkPelt said calmly.
LeafDrop nodded and got her sleep.

Later that Night
Leafdrop got up and kept getting up and laying back down.
"Is there anything wrong?" Graystripe asked his tail twitching.
"No-" Leafdrop felt a contraction happen. "G-Go get SwallowFern...." She squeaked.
"SwallowFern, LeafDrop is having contractions...." Graystripe said to SwallowFern, as she prepared herbs.
They ran out and went into the Nursery.
"Okay just breath and bight down on this" Swallowfern gave her some thyme. "Go get some moss and anything soft Graystripe." SwallowFern instructed. He nodded and ran out.
After birth because I don't want to describe all of that...
"What are their names?" Graystripe said licking Leafdrop's ear.
She looked at her kits,
"What about Molekit(M), Graykit(M), Brownkit(M), Stripekit(F), Spottedkit(F), LeafKit(F)."
"Those are beautiful names,"
The Next Day...
Graystripe sit outside pacing around. He had heard nothing else from the kits of Leafdrop last night. He looked inside to see them sleeping peacefully in their nest.
"Congratulations GrayStripe." Brownstripe nodded to Graystripe.
"What are you doing here" Graystripe growled.
"Nothing, just congratulating you," BrownStripe continued, "Also to warn you..."
"About what..." Graystripe asked.
"Nothing to really worry about, just watch you back" BrownStripe hissed.
Graystripe went into the nursery, making sure to watch BrownStripe leave the camp.
"LeafDrop darling..." He whispered.
LeafDrop woke. "Yes..?" She asked.
"How are the kits doing?" Graystripe looked down at his children with pride.
"Wonderful, I think Graykit likes you" Leafdrop purred as she watched Graykit squirm towards Graystripe.
"Hey little one" Graystripe said as he licked Graykit's ear. Graystripe watched as Graykit, only a day old now, opened his tiny little eyes, they were yellow. "Just like your father now aren't you?" Graystripe purred.
Graykit thumped his little brown tail around and looked all around the nursery.
"Curious little one aren't you!" Leafdrop purred.
"M-M" Graykit struggled to get the words out of his tiny mouth.
"You can try, it might take you a day to talk my child" Graystripe told his brave little kit.
"Look, Leafkit is opening her eyes too." Leafdrop watched as the runt opened her tiny little green eyes. "Green eyes," She told Graystripe.
"My precious little daughter looks like her mother" Graystripe said licking her brown ears.
"And her father," Leafdrop purred, there was a gray stripe going down her back.
"M-Mo-Moth-Motherrr" Graykit spit as he tried to speak.
"You're getting the hang of it little one."
Creamfern and CloudSpots came into the nursery "We have news" Creamfern purred.
"Really?" Leafdrop looked up.
"I'm having kits!" Creamfern purred.
"Kits! The clan is going to have great warriors!" Graystripe meowed.
"I see you're kits are starting to wake early." CloudSpots said looked at Leafkit.
"Hello little one" He meowed.
"H-Hello" Leafkit murmured shaky.
"M-mother..." Graykit mewed.
"Yes my child?" She asked.
"W-When are the-they go-going to w-wake up?" Graykit asked getting the hang of speaking.
"I don't know, today tomorrow" She purred.
"Well since I'm a queen I'll be staying in the nursery from now on" Creamfern said getting comfy in a nest by Leafdrop's.

6 Moons after birth. 4 more Moons till new kits are born..
"May all Cats old enough to climb the Willow Tree Gather under the Willows for a Clan meeting!" ThrushStar yowled throughout the clan. "Today we have 6 new apprentice's! Molekit, Graykit, BrownKit, StripeKit, SpottedKit, And LeafKit Please step up."
The Kits were cleaned and glossy. They all nervously stumbled forward.
"Wait, look Molekit's fur is ruffled.!" Leafdrop whispered the Graystripe.
"Don't worry, they are fine" Graystripe purred.
"Do You 6 kits promise to serve the clan well and train hard?"
"Yes!" They all squeaked.
"Then I, from now until you receive your warrior names, you shall be known as Brownpaw, your mentor will be DarkPelt. StripeKit you shall be known as Stripepaw, your mentor is HoneySky. SpottedKit, you shall be known as Spottedpaw, and as requested, SwallowFern our Medicine cat shall be your Mentor. Molekit, you shall be known as MolePaw, Your mentor shall be PoppyFlight. Leafkit you shall be known as LeafPaw, your mentor shall be WhitePelt. And Last, Graykit, You shall be known as Graypaw, your mentor shall be Bluetail the deputy of WillowClan." ThrushStar Called out. The Clan started to chant their names as the new apprentices went to touch muzzles with their new mentors.

4 Moons later...

Leafdrop awoke next to Graystripes side. She felt his pelt pressed against hers. She didn't look over to see or wake Graystripe, Leafdrop simply got up. She felt as if she was being watched. She looked around the den and at the entrance, nobody. Leafdrop couldn't sleep anymore so she left the den. Leafdrop stretched and looked around the empty camp, she turned towards the entrance and saw a shadow leaving the camp. Leafdrop ducked down low and watched the shadow pace and heard murmurs of the cat.
"Hey, Leafdrop!" Brownstripe called.
"Er- Hi." Leafdrop was shocked but not scared.
"What are you up to this early in the morning?" BrownStripe paused. "You know, we could have a chance."
"A chance? Of what?" Leafdrop knew what he meant, but didn't want to share it.
"Of being, together. I could still rule..." Brownstripe got closer.
"But I love Graystripe, and my kits. And how will you rule if ThrushStar still has an eye on you?" Leafdrop was curious, she didn't want anyone to get hurt so she listened to what BrownStripe had to say.
"I'll take him into the woods on a hunting patrol, and whatever happens.." Brownstripe smiled and got closer.
"I-I.." Leafdrop was uncomfortable.
"Whats going on?" Graystripe came out by Leafdrops side.
"BrownStripe was just talking about the Kits, they're doing very well for apprentices." Leafdrop lied.
"Leafdrop, come back to bed" Graystripe purred. He glared at Brownstripe and turned away with Leafdrop.

Later that day...
Creamfern squeaked "I-*squeak*- don't know if I want to do this!"
Leafdrop sat by her side, "It's going to be okay, you'll see." She purred.
"I-I hope so.." Creamfern squeezed up her body trying hard not to be in pain. "WHERE IS YOUR DAUGHTER?" She shouted.
"She's coming, she needs to get herbs, don't worry."

So I took a long break from everything, I will not be writing any longer. Someone may take over for me later on, things have changed in my life dramaticly and I don't know if I will be able to come up with the content that I used to make. Thanks for everything loves, -Leafdrop

Also, planning to take over the clan and 'murder' the leader in cold blood is a serious felony, braking, almost shattering the warrior code. Since this is a somewhat realistic clan story, Brownstripe would be banished right away, so why is he still there at the naming ceremony? It just confuses me a bit.
And I don't know if this was just Brownstripes point if view with Shadowclan, but if it's yours, it's not true at all. There are rumors spread around that Shadowclan is evil, but it's not a bit true. Personally, Shadowclan is my very favorite clan, and they are known to be the harshest clan, now that is true, but they aren't dark and evil. If you look closely, Shadowclan is like any other clan, caring, friendly, protective over borders. They truly just wish to protect their clan as well as their reputation. c:
Again, this is not meant to be rude, it's just some tips when it comes go writing about warrior cats. I actually write my own stories, they are preserved in a special pm folder ^_^

Okay so every cat has a personality, Thrushstar is a cat who is like "Okay, well I'll give you another chance." And Brownstripe earned his trust again.
And it was BrownStripe's point of view, since in the books some cats think shadowclan is evil >:) I love Shadowclan, it is my favorite clan. But some cats don't.
And thank you for these tips, just starting out and I am very new to this/
