A story in the format of a book, each post is a chapter,
so the post after this will be chapter on and so on a so forth.
This story is writen in third person so heads up! Everything you read
is coming from my imagination so it'll be weird.
You can post if you want now so yee.
I really do expect this to get any real
attention but I thought I'd share my story anyway!
I hope you enjoy it ovo
{Readers note- this is my first time writing a real
story, so it might not be the best. There might be
a few typos as well since no one but me proof reads and
sometimes i mess up, so please keep that in mind. Plus,
as the story goes on characters are likely to change a bit as
they get developed more. So remember that!

Chapter One • A Bad Start, A Worse Day

He threw his phone across the room and whipped around to grab his pillow. The 15 year old boy screamed into the soft object, tears leaking from his eyes as he did. This boys name was Ryan Lork Gury, former farm boy and fairly new face in the city of Chicago. When he was 9 years old, him and his family moved from his home in Montana, and they moved to Chicago. Though he had been in the city and school for a while, he seemed to only make a few friends. One of which just broke his heart it a million pieces by telling him how worthless and stupid he was (even though he got all A's, except for a C in math). And this had happened RIGHT before he had to go to school.

It took him a bit of time to summon the strength to more and get dressed, and all he could manage to put on was a pair of dark grey sweat pants, a walking dead T-shirt, and his favorite jacket which was older than him. Ryan looked in the mirror and saw how bad he looked. His knows was redder than it normally was, his light brown hair was a complete mess, and to top it off, his brown eyes looked red from crying. At the moment he felt like curling up in a ball and dying, but he pressed on and continued to get ready for school.

He left the school with no breakfast, no lunch money or lunch at all, and non of his books or homework, though he didn't know that yet. Once he was seated on the bus he tried to hide from everyone and buckled down for the possible fight he was going to have against his former friend. A few stops later his 'pal' glared at him like he had killed a puppy and scuffed, heading to the back of the bus. It was extremely hard for him not to have a panic attack right then and there. He didn't even know what he did wrong! "Why in the world is Kayla so mad at me?!!", was all he could clearly think as other negative thoughts clouded his mind. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't piece together why she was mad at him. After all, she seemed perfectly fine yesterday.

By the time Ryan had gotten to school, he was certain his day would get better. He tried to stay positive as he began walking to the front doors of the school. But as he was walking, he tripped and fell face first as he was not able to catch himself. Anyone who says him fall burst out laughing, even Kayla. A group of her friends walked up to him and slat rude words at him. Kayla herself walked up to him and stomped on his back before she walked off, her friends following close behind. All he could do was lay there in pain and no one offered to help. No matter what he did from that point on, his day got worse and worse.

In first hour math he fail his test, forgot his calculator, AND forgot all his homework. Then in is second hour English class he got called on and made a fool of himself, plus he was the only one who didn't get a good grade on the easiest assignment of the year. Third hour in science he burnt his hand, and fourth hour he got sent to the office until lunch. So he just sat there in the office with his arm crossed, wishing that something good would happen. Even though he knew he that good things never happen to him, he still tried to hold onto some hope. The lady at the office desk let Ryan go once it was lunch, and he quickly headed out to the school yard to avoid everyone.

Luckily it was fall and the majority of his outfit blended into the surrounding area. Ryan ran into the forest as quickly as he could and hid in a bush with lots of orange and red leaves covering it. Just as he dived into the bush Kayla and her gang walked out into the school yard and looked around, loudly calling his name. For the first time in his life he felt pure fear begin to boil in his heart. They made their way over to his hideout as he tried to stay as quiet as he could. His breath was quick and shallow, so it didn't take them long to find him. Kayla laughed as he fell over when she yelled to get his attention. Though he tried to not look scared, his brown eyes were clouded with fear as the other girls, and two guys, surrounded him.

The two guys looked very strong, much stronger than the the thin and pretty frail Ryan. He was actually much shorter than all of his attackers, and had no chance of beating them. One of the guys had a metal rod with him, and he flinches back. Kayla looked over to the one guy and nodded slightly. With that small signal, the guy hit Ryan over the head with the rod. It wasn't enough to knock him out, but he quickly fell over. The others in the group joined in, and soon everything faded to black.

Chapter Two • Waking World

Ryan woke up, laying on his back and looking up at a clear sky. He groaned and sat up, rubbing his head as he looked around the area. It seemed he was sitting on top of a soft green hill, and was surrounded by hills like his. Only a few trees and flowers where on the lumps of ground surprisingly. A few fluffy clouds were in the sky, and from the warmth in the air he assumed it was summer. Which is when he began to panic. Though he couldn't really remember what had happened before he blacked out, he was very sure that it was fall and not summer.

He tried to get up, but fell backwards as he was still a bit dizzy due to his head. It seemed that now his hand hurt as well, which he guessed was because of his 'graceful' fall, so he lifted it up in front of his face to see if it was cut or badly hurt. To his surprise, his hand had seemed to have literally lost all pigment, making his hand pure white. Of course he still had a red cut as he had suspected. Out of curiosity, he looked himself over to seem if it was only his hand that was white. Which it wasn't. All of his skin had turned snow white and that shocked and scared him. With a bit of courage, he checked to see if he still had his brown hair, and he did have hair, just not a lot. Though it wasn't like he was bald.

In order to keep himself from having a heart attack, he laid back down and looked up at the sky as he got a major headache. This seemed so real, so he knew it wasn't a dream, but he had no idea WHAT was going on. But if he didn't have to deal with his fellow students or parents, he supposed it wasn't TO bad. All he had to do was wait for his headache to pass and maybe he could go and walk around and find shelter before it got dark.

Once his headache has passed, he sat back up and finally could stand up without falling. Now he could see much more clearly as well. A few colorful thing in the trees caught his attention. There were lots of pieces of confetti and candy all over the ground, and many odd looking and colored birds seemed to be cleaning up the mess somewhat. Bits and parts of pinatas littered the trees, and a few whole party animals of different styles and origin were still there. The trees themselves swayed lightly in the wind, causing more of the confetti to drift down the hills.

His time to look around was cut short at something much bigger than the birds was spotted in the sky. It looked like a furry snake dragon thing, but the thing that really caught his attention was that it was headed right his way. And fast.
