"Be careful, don't trip!" a mother called from a distance, as a very small galaxy like plumerain wobbled around on the grass. It was night time, and no one could really see, so the mother did have a right to worry. The small plumerain wobbled around, trying to catch fire flies in the air, as well as crickets in the soft grass.

Not looking where she was going, she hopped to catch a firefly, but tripped on a fallen branch, landed face first on the ground. She started to wail loudly. Behind her, the mother rushed outside to comfort the small plumerain.

"Mommy, I hurt!" the plumerain cried. Tears streamed down her face, as her mother inspected where she fell. Her nose was scratched up, and her front paw pads were slightly bleeding. The mother quickly carried the crying plumerain into the house, to treat her injuries.

"Mommy, i no hurt." the baby plumerain said, as she smiled brightly at her mother. A bunch of wailing and squirming later, her injuries were all patched up. The mother stared proudly at her work, and picked the little one up again, and carried her back outside. "No no!" the plumerain cried. "It hurt there!"

"Don't worry." the mother said in a sweet voice, as she lay the child on the ground gently. "What we are doing here is something safer. I think you'll like it."

The child squirmed on the ground, refusing to relax. The mother just huffed with joy, as she moved the child to face the sky. "Look up." she told her. The small plumerain looked up at the sky, and her jaw dropped.

Out here, in the country, there are no city lights. All there is, is nothing. Without all the city lights, you can perfectly see the stars. It was a blanket of the sparkles in the sky tonight, though no moon. That didn't bother the child much, as she sat still and stared at the stars in amazement. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. The stars looked just like her. They were sparkly, and shined brightly in the night sky.

"Mommy, it's me!" she exclaimed, and pointed up at the sky. "They are me! They like me!"

The mother just smiled. "Well maybe one day you can meet them." she said softly. "And maybe you can go on a adventure."

"Hey quit it!"

Bullies. No one likes them except themselves, or maybe their mothers, but really who knows? The blue and black plumerain twisted and turned, as the bullies grabbed onto her feathers, and pulled on them hard. Tears streamed down her face, as she struggled beneath them.

She kicked and kicked, punched and punched, until she was finally free. She started running down the narrow dirt path, to her home. She twitched her ears, as she heard the bullies starting to catch up to her.

Luckily I take track! she thought to herself, as she started to pick up the pace. She turned sharply into the forest, trying to loose them in the trees.

The forest has always been her friend. Helping her relax, teaching her the ways of nature, and protecting her from bullies.

She zig-zagged all throughout the forest, though she wasn't getting lost. She spent most of her time in this forest, as like a place for her to come to a peace of mind.

"Go away!" she called behind her, but she was ignored, as the bullied kept persisting.

Janet kept running until she reached her house. The house was a small cottage, at the edge of the woods, looking in. it had a run down look to it, but the inside was quite comfortable, with a fireplace and beds.

"Bark Bark!" Janet called in panic, as she approached her house. Then, out of nowhere, a huge black and gray pitbull emerged from the bushes. It has a vicious look to it, with a huge scar going across it's chest, and a smaller scar above it's eye. It glared at the bullies, then charged right for them, barking loudly.

As soon as the bullies saw the dog coming, they turned directly around, screaming in fright. The dog chased them until they were out of sight, then ran back over to where the blue plumerain was standing, shaking vigorously on the creaky porch. The dog walked toward her, slowly, as she collapsed over it, and started to cry.

"Thank you Bark Bark." she cried in his scared chest. "You're my favorite dog in the whole world."

Thunder rumbled in the distance, as the blue plumerain hurried home.

Today at school was long. So many project and homework assignments to complete. It put a lot of stress on her, everyone could tell.

"Hey, Bark Bark." she said, as the gray and black pitbull came out of the cottage to greet her. She patted the dog on the head as she headed inside. She opened the door to find her mother cooking dinner in the fireplace. She looked up and smiled brightly when she saw the plumerain come inside.

"Welcome home!" she said with glee. "How was your day?" The blue plaumerin just shrugged as she laid down on the bed and closed her eyes.

"Don't go to sleep yet, I have amazing news." her mother said, taking a pot out of the fireplace. "Do you know what it is?"

"No."

The mother set the pot to the side and sat down next to her daughter. "Well," she started. "You got a scholarship. You're going to collage."

The plumerain sat up and immediatley started to cry. "Are you serious?"

Her mother nodded, as small tears came from her eyes as well. "Yup. Your grades are some of the best in the entire school, and you do so well in tennis. They gave you a scholarship, so you can now go to collage."

"M-mom..." the plumerain choked on her words, as her mother hugged her tightly.

"You're going to space."

Today was the day.

After countless appointments, a million assignments, and many practices, she was finally ready.

She already kissed her mother goodbye. The pain from being so far away from home would be unbearable, but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

They all boarded the spaceship. They were going to be in space for about a year. They were going to a space station next to the moon, and stay there to study moon behavior. There weren't others there, as they already left from their assignment. Now it was their turn.

There is a garden, with many vegetables, and fruits. They also had freeze dried meals on the shuttle. there was fresh water on the shuttle, and the station was filled with it, so there was no need to worry about that.

10, 9, 8, The space shuttle started shaking violently, getting ready to leave.

7, 6, 5, A single tear shed down the blue plumerain face.

4, 3, "Good bye mother."

2, 1, lift off!

"Hurry up!"

The escape pod was right there. She could just jump in, to go back to earth.

"Come on!"

But she couldn't She knew what the problem was, and she could fix it."

"You'll die."

She snapped her head back. She was angry. "I won't die! I know how to fix it!"

She slammed the escape pod's door and sealed it. She pushed a red button, which made a huge noise, as the escape pod launched in the direction of Earth.

As soon as the escape pod was out of range, there was a huge explosion, which sent the blue plumerain flying. She landed hard on her back. She struggled to get up, and ran back over to where the explosion took place.

It wasn't a large explosion, but it had enough force to push the station in the opposite direction of Earth. She grabbed a toolbox that was on the floor, and ran over to where the problem was happening.

After blood, sweat, and tears, it was fixed, but at a terrible cost.

She was now drifting, off into space.

They were wrong. She didn't die.

She actually lived, for longer than you would think.

Even she doesn't know how she could live so long, and even in space. The station did have food, water, and oxygen, but that never explained how she could be so old, but still look and act young. It didn't make sense.

When you're in space for this long, by yourself, you don't tend to talk much, or at all. She was one of those plumerains who never talked to herself, not once, not ever. Though she did study and read, but she completely forgot how to say words and sentences, which also didn't seem to make much sense, but no one questioned it.

She kept track of the days still, though never cared about how old she was, or how old anyone else was. She stopped counting, just like the others back on Earth. When she went missing, everyone assumed that she died after a while, so they decided it was best to just stop counting.

Today was the day, though. She was going to go back home.

She had built another escape pod, after they other one left, though it didn't take her long, she just didn't want to leave space. The views of the planets were to beautiful to leave, but as soon as they got boring, she decided to go back to Earth, to see others again, and see what changed. Though the only things she knew were on the station. She forgot about everything else. She forgot what things were called, so it was time to see them all over again.

She boarded her escape pod and strapped herself in. She pressed a few strange buttons, setting the coordinates into the ocean, by a beach, so she would be noticed.

On a small screen to her right, there was a map of the path she was going to take. Smooth sailing from here. No trouble to be seen. On her left was a small countdown with a button saying, "launch".

She looked through her small window back at the station, making sure she had not forgotten anything. She had her study books, and notebooks, and her tools. She didn't feel like she needed anything else.

She pressed her paw to the window, as if saying goodbye, then pressed the launch button, and went flying towards Earth.

Splash!

The sound woke her from her little slumber. How long has she been traveling? She didn't know. How could she? She was so far away, and it took so long, she couldn't stay awake.

She frantically looked around to where she was. She was underwater, but slowly floating to the top. It seemed like hours before she reached the surface. She squinted at the sight of the bright blue sky, with the big fluffy clouds. This must be Earth.

She held her breath as she opened the escape pod hesitance and looked around quickly. She saw a beach off in the distance, and there seemed to be life there. She breathed in, oxygen, then let out a sigh of relief.

She looked around again and saw a white object speeding towards her and her escape pod. She gasped, the ducked away in her little pod, shivering with surprise.

There was a loud rumble, until it stopped. The plumerain looked up and saw 3 heads looking inside the escape pod.

"There is someone in here!"

"Get her out! She needs help!"

"Quiet! she looks frightened."

All these voices, all these sounds, they were all so new, it scared her. So much in fact, that she fainted.

"Do you remember your name?"
"No."
"Do you know where you're from?"
"Space."
"Did you live on planet Earth before?"
"Yes."
"Where?"
"..."
"Well, I can't prove that if you won't answer"
*sighs: I don't know*
"Well I'm going to call you Janet"
"..."
"Janet, from another Planet."
