Dear my little fire bird, (I'm really missing my home when we're right in the nowhere in Antartica)
Well let's just say our summer holiday didn't really start off well, on Friday, mum just said with no warning at all that we were going to Antartica! Of course everyone thought it was a joke at first and just went off whatever we left off with, but when we saw the plane tickets she bought us we knew it was no joke at all. (She told us she belonged to an environment team)


As soon as we left the plane a dog with brown braids greeted us.

After that we all hopped into a car(I think) that Lavender owned and headed off towards this ENORMOUS boat. I expected to see hundreds of people but to my surprise there was barely any. Lavender introduced them to us one-by-one:

Dear Phoneix,
Today was another one of those days when you want to just stay in your bed and read Harry Potter. In fact, I was in the middle of reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for the sixth time when mum knocked my door so loudly I thought that the thin wooden door of my room was about to get knocked over. I opened the door.
Darling, it's already eight thirty and you still haven't had breakfast yet!~Mum
But it's ONLY eight thirty, mum.~Me
Oh but Lavender and I planned a lot of fun things for you guys like snow-man building, penguin sight seeing and oh so much other fun things!*hops around excitely*~Mum

For a matter of fact Phoneix, a letter came yesterday around midnight and I have been DYING to know what's inside it.
I opened the letter and read aloud:

'Dear Phoneix Granger,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been elected to Hogwarts a school for witch-craft and wizardry.
Please Note that Term starts at September the 1st. There's a list of school things first years need, at the back of this note.

Professor McGonagall.

I turned the note around and sure enough there was a list of school things I needed. I can't believe that Harry Potter's magical world actually was REAL! I danced around until I saw the last few words of the letter. I looked around and saw for a matter of fact that it was true. Voldemort was staring at the back of my window with a giant bunch of Dementors following him. I felt dizzy, and I felt as if happiness were never to be returned...then worst of all a women's scream followed with a high pitched laughter echoed through the darkness....

Today mum and Lavender got all of us to do some sort of learning thing that was totally unnesscary on holidays. Of course I still remebered that I had to somehow get to Hogwarts at Septemeber the 1st. So today when we went down for breakfast, Lavender looked just like a panda.
