Lands in the North (Londorwin)

In Londorwin, there lies a mystic valley, Eindos. Lush green grass grows across this vast land, with very tiny blue and orange grow. These flowers are called Agurq Hori, they have the ability to heal the wounded. When a horse has a disease or is being badly wounded, eating this plant would cure it. However, the Aqurg Hori is a very very tiny plant that can only be stumbled across when a horse accidentally stepped on it. A small pond is also located here in Eindos, but it is somewhat well hidden by the large trees. These trees, Gula Rhea, have really huge leaves that are a light shade of lime and a hint of very light yellow and are bigger than most horses. The leaves on the Gula Rhea are poisonous and a horse could die instantly just by accidentally touching it. This is because there are many tiny snake - like "fangs" on it, with a venom that could kill instantly. Many horses come here just to eat and bathe in the fresh pond.

Just behind Eindos, lies monstrous mountains, called Sedna Lahmu. These large mountains reach toward the sky and clouds. There are many paths around the mountain towards the peak. The air at the peak is rich, however, halfway up the mountain, the air would be very thin. The weather here can be very treacherous. There are small flowers at the peak on the mountain and along the path as well, small crystal - like flowers called Octantis. It has white petals and a light pink at the tip of it. Octantis is often given to new born foals for strength, however, the fully grown Octantis are usually at the peak of Sedna Lahmu, thus the stallions would always make the trips to the mountain a week before the foals would born.

West
In the west of Londorwin, there lies Vinimrith. It is located on miles of soft, beautiful green grass. The grass glows a light orange when struck by moonbeam light, and slowly turns red on a full moon. Cut in between Vinimrith, lies a stream with the clearest if waters, sparking and shinning in pure sunlight. Many species of fish live in the stream, a common fish would be the Piersym, it looks like a smaller version of a dolphin but it has a light shade of pink, scaly body that shimmers in the water. It eats little rocks and small shrimps. It has small fins that are poisonous and could kill instantly as a single touch. Its body is extremely slimy and there are small tiny hair - like structures at the end of its body, towards its tail, which has a paralyzing venom and can also be very deadly to foals and weak horses. Thankfully, there is a sap tree, called Alten Dowsor, that has a pinkish sap which is able to heal the paralyzed horse. However, there's a catch, the Alten Dowsor is only found in the East of Londorwin, thus horses staying in Vinimrith would have to make a long trip all the way to the opposite end of Londorwin.
There are some giant willows at the sides of the stream. They are called Whispering Willows, as they whisper rumors about Nevriande all day long. The only time they keep quiet is in the night, where fewer things are happening. Many horses like to stay in the shades under the Whispering Willows for a rest or a break or just to chat and catch up with friends and families.
The most common plant here in Vinimrith is the Waltom, used to cure a kind of flu developed in horses that can become very serious if not treated within a week's time. The symptoms includes sudden lose of energy, extreme pain in the muzzle, head and fore legs and the difficulty of breathing. Just by soaking the Waltom in a pool of water and sipping the purpled colored water it had become, the sick horse would slowly regain its energy and would heal within three to four days' time. The leaves of the Waltom contain the power of healing whereas the roots can cause instant death when eaten. It is the size of a full grown koi and is a dark purple around the side of the leaves while it goes lighter in color until it reaches the stem of the leaf which is a vibrant pink.

East
Here in the East of Londorwin, lies Dortheler, the Mountains of the East. The landscape here is a bit rougher and more suited to the rugged and rough stallions. These small mountains have jagged rocks jutting from the grounds as the horses climb through the juniper bushed. Many bachelor stallions like to come here to test their strengths against one another, and prove they are the best, though mares will travel here as well.
Some trees and small plants grow on the edge of Dortheler. A common type of tree would be the Heabury. They have blood red leaves and maroon branches that are a lighter red at the end. The trunks are, however, as black as the night. This serves as a great camouflage to small beetles such as the Feystone and the Deleah. But even though the trunk of the Heabury is black in the day, it actually lights up at night, as if someone switched on a lamp inside of it. Thus the mountains would also lit up during the night, helping horses make their way back to the ground from the mountains.
Another common type of tree is the Haibury. They too have blood red leaves, but dark purple branches. Their trunk is also different from the Heabury. The trunk is a faint white that glows during the night, but turns into a darker white during the day. It too serves as another great camouflage to other small beetles like the Beydale and the Boowick. But the leaves in this tree has a very fatal venom. This venom, surprisingly, is air - borne, thus by just smelling the leaves of a Haibury, a horse would be instantly paralyzed and would soon die within minutes.
The Feystone beetles are some favorite snacks for the horses here. It has a very dark complexion close to black and has a total of five pairs of tiny wings, thus the Feystone beetles are able to fly very fast. It has eight pairs of legs and two fellers at the top of its head that looks like another pair of legs. Their eyes are very small, almost invisible to the naked eye.
The Deleah beetles are another favorite snack for the horses here. It has a much darker complexion than the Feystone. It has only one pair of wings but they are almost twice the size of its own body. The interesting thing about Deleah beetles are that they do not have legs at all. Instead, they have a small snake like tail that helps them move like a snake, only that they can fly. When a Deleah feels threatened, it unleashes a stinging venom that would only sting its predator's tongue for a few weeks, but not kill or paralyze them. Therefore when a horse is fast enough to miss the venom, it'll have its snack.
The Beydale beetles are a very unique kind of beetle, for it can take a shape of any other beetle, however, it will not be able to change its color, which is a white main body with yellowish - white strips. This beetle has no wings at all but have 10 pairs of tiny legs that causes it to move very fast. This beetle is harmless to all foals and horses but it has a very sour taste, thus many horses dislike Beydale beetles.
The Boowick beetles are another unique kind of beetle. It's whole body is pure white, except for its very light yellow wings and a very deadly green pair of eyes. This beetle has no legs as well, but instead of having a snake like tail, the Boowick has a very smooth, scaly underbelly. This helps the beetle to slide down branches or slopes along the mountains easily. And it is also able to slide on flat surfaces thanks to its two big pairs of wings that can be folded back into a "propeller" at the end of its body, helping it to slide on flat surfaces with ease.

South
In the South of Londorwin, there lies Indoriast. The land turns to fertile green forests. Nearing the coast, the forest gives way to grass colored pastures that drop off suddenly to the sea. No beaches exist in this land, only sheer, white cliffs fall to the ocean below. The trees here rise tall and majestic, scattered about natural springs that bubble sparsely from the ground in rocky beds. The Guardian Trees, Swywick, block any horses from falling off the cliff. They are huge bluish – brown trees with dark purple leaves and light grey branches. They stand fourteen feet tall and are two feet wide. They also block off small carnivorous creatures that would climb onto the walls of the cliff, desperate for some horseflesh. A common type of creature would be the Boogrove and the Cleminster.
The Boogrove is a creature similar to the sea scorpion, only smaller and much more vicious. They are a dark maroon in color and are 5 feet long. However, their sharp pincers are almost thrice their size. They have deadly black oval eyes and 2 pairs of moth – like antennas at the top of their heads. They eat small fishes and shrimps, but they also longed to taste some horsemeat. They have six pairs of small legs and two extra pairs of larger legs, one pair at the very front, and another pair at the very end.
The Cleminster is a creature that lives in a giant clamshell. They have actually a light pinkish body and a dark purple head. They have three pairs of eyes, one pair at the back of its head and the other two pairs at the front. They are like hermit crabs, only that they live in clamshells. They too have pincers, but longer, rounder and sharper. Their pincers are a deadly red. They have 4 pairs of legs, which are yellow at the top and lime green at the bottom. They too long to taste horsemeat.
Much of these sights are lost amongst a veil of thick mist that rolls in from the nearby sea during morning and evening hours. In some seasons the fog lingers even longer, giving this land an eerie feel. Sometimes when the fog would reach all the way up to the trees and cover the Guardian Trees, the Swywick would actually grow 3 feet higher, and another feet wider as other small creatures would use the fog as an advantage to enter the forest. But the Swywick would return to their original size once the fog has more or less cleared.

North
In the North of Londorwin, there lies Dorwine. Green and orange grass carpets the small hill that looks over a light blue sea. The hill, Amarlond, has only grass, not a single tree in sight. Small tiny birds fill this small hill. The Marione, a small light brown hummingbird is a common species. It has a long tail thrice as long as its body and a very thin sharp beak. It eats small beetles that linger around the grass. The Marione often flies to the sea for a quick bath and the sea is also where the Marione lays its eggs. It usually lays around four to five eggs that float on the water, but they stick together due to the sticky gue present there when they were laid. The egg is a deep green in color, and it takes around 4 to 6 weeks for the Marione to hatch. When it first hatches, it’s a light green in color, and as it grows older, the color slowly turns light brown.
Soft, white, and remarkably clean sands fill the gap between the seashore and the azure grass. The beach here is always sparkling due to the white sand, and a very tiny crab – like creature, the Evrand. Its body is white in color, thus it camouflages very well in the white sand. Its wings however, are diamonds, shinning and glistering under the sun. Though is has big fat wings, it cannot fly, however, its small 8 legs could run as fast as a young foal. It has two small pairs of eyes, one pair at the back of its head and another at its front. It has three small whiskers at each sides of its head. However, these whiskers carry a very strong and painful venom. Although it will not kill its victim, the victim would feel extreme pain for hours and would not be able to move due to the pain, allowing the Evrand to escape.
At the very eastern corner of the beach, there is a giant willow tree, the Souford, a one of a kind., this is because the Souford could be awaken when needed. It stands 17 feet high, and 4 feet wide. The leaves are typically elongated and are a sweet pink in color and is very smooth to the touch. It is the only place on the beach surrounded by short grasses and tall flowers. Horses would usually come to Souford to ask her questions. Souford is a very wise tree, she would answer whatever questions any horse throws at her, be it a silly question, or a serious one. Young foals likes to have a little chat with Souford, and especially listen to her wonderful jokes. Old and retired horses as well, they like to sit around and talk about their past, and Souford would, as always, be an excellent listener. Souford could also connect with other horses who were no longer alive. Adult horses would come and talk to her about them and ask her how they were doing.
There are other strange and mysterious fishes in the sea. The Orlyn, also known as Ghost Catfish, dwells in reef beds where its translucent skin and tendrils provide excellent camouflage. The barbed tendrils lining along its back produce a nasty sting causing temporary paralysis. Often the Orlyn will eat the paralyzed victim, but usually resorts to ambushing as a means of catching prey. The Orlyn has a head like a sphinx and it has fore paws, only that they have small fins at the back or its elbow. Its tail is like a dolphin , but it’s bigger and glows in the dark.

Lands in the South (Hithlorion)

Postby equine. » Sat Aug 22, 2015 6:32 pm

Here in Hithlorion, there lies a valley as well, Lyncis, but it is smaller and less spacious than Eindos. This valley however, was nothing like Eindos. Lyncis, instead of having lush green grass, have very light pink and blue grass and bushes. Flowers filled this valley, many different kinds. A common flower, also used for healing, is Gubri Gari. The Gubri Gari has light purple flowers with a dark blue stem. Even though this flower has healing powers, it can only heal a horse when it has died, and it takes a hundred years for a Gubri Gari to die, what's worse is that killing a flower like this is not as easy as just stepping on it umpteen times. A flower like this has to be either iced or soaked in fire for at least two and a half weeks. There is a lake right in the center of Lyncis, Lake Morlou. Young foals like to play in this lake as it is very shallow, however, there are small venomous water gublets near the shores of the lake. Water Goblets are small water creatures with the long body of a snake and a small head like a shark. They have many small teeth like a shark, only that their teeth has venom that can paralyze a horse instantly. However, Gubti Gari is not the cure to this, Bime is. Bime is a very rare and unique plant, only found deep under water of Dosi Vorta, an ocean is the far west of Hithlorion.

West from Lyncis, there is a small destroyed fortress, Deni Sise, next to a long stream that leads all the way to Dosi Vorta. Some young juveniles likes to play within the old, damp fortress, but would always return back to Lyncis before sun down. This is because before Galindor and the other Elementiols founded Nevriande, there was a very strong evil that cannot be destroyed, only hidden deep underground. Legend has it that this great evil had found Deni Sise and seeks out to hunt whoever who stays there after sundown. But thankfully, this evil has not much power to venture into other places, as legend has it.

West
In the West of Hithlorion, lies Ormegron. This is one of the densest parts in Hithlorion. The trees here are close together and there are many of them, a common example would be the Sycia Anden. They have large roots that some above the ground sometimes. They have huge branches that have tiny little holes in them. These holes are homes to small creatures and insects living in Ormegron like the Trealeah and Methorp. The trunk of the Sycia Anden is 6 feet wide and 17 feet tall. The leaves on the Sycia Anden is a dull green during summer, autumn and spring and a bright orange during the winter. They have the shape of a fern leaf, but bigger and each leaf in a tree has it's very own unique pattern, ranging from colors of dark blue to a light maroon. Because of the many trees, there is very little grass here. This place would make a good place for foals to play, however, there could be potential predators lurking in those trees, like the Olmoor Esfield and the Taymoor Refield. They are both similar yet different at the same time. The Olmoor Esfield is a very small deer - like creature that live in small hollows in trees like the Pestone Fithorp. They are the size of an average full grown mouse deer. They have a very long bushy tail half the size of their body. The They have two very sharp teeth protruding out of their mouths. These teeth may seem small but they can crush bones easily. The Olmoor Esfield has a light brown body with dark brown spots all around their body and a patch on the underbelly. Their claws can easily tear flesh apart, furthermore, their claws can be drawn back like a cat. They eat small animals including young foals and sometimes beetles.
The Taymoor Refield is also a deer - like creature, but bigger. They too live in hollows, but in trees like the Golminster. Instead of having long bushy tails like the Olmoor, the Taymoor have short bunny - like tails. They also have two sharp teeth protruding from their mouths but a little shorter, however, they are still as strong as that of an Olmoor's. They too have claws that can be drawn back but longer and sharper. These claws can penetrate into the bones of its victims and drawn back easily. They usually eat small beetles or birds and occasionally foals. But, the Olmoor Esfield and Taymoor Refield would have a hard time catching anything while dodging all of the trees. A herd might not want to stay here for long because of the lack of grass but, it was a nice place to visit and bring foals.
The Trealeah, also know as the Prickle, is a small little dark blue insect creature. They emit sparkling embers from its prickly back of spikes on its shell to make itself obvious to other creatures. Its mouth is kind of a zipper of teeth in a vertical fashion. It also contains these three large round bulbous features which are not eyes. They are an extra sensory appendage and then of course a little bioluminescence thrown in on the side of the body for good measure. The Trealeah do not have any eyes, instead, they have a long "front leg" that acts like a tongue. It can sense its prey over 3 hundred meters away. It has a total of 6 legs, light blue in color. The end of its legs are like the end of a tree's branches. They eat the leaves of the Sycia Anden.
The Methrop is slow-moving crab-like creature that spends most of it's adult life in the trees. It uses it's large claw to stablize itself while it uses its legs to navigate itself through the branches. It feeds primarily on plants and lichens, but may sometimes gorge itself on bird's egg and the occasional a small bird if it can catches one. But it rarely catches birds because of all the trees in Ormegron, blocking out the sunlight, thus not many birds would fly to this place. It's body is full of sharp spines and irritating fur-like bristles. For additional defense it uses a sharp barb at the end of it's tail, that secretes a chemical that will cause hallucinogenic delusions. This could also coincide with the crab's bizarre appearance making it seem even more horrific when the individual is under the influence.

East
In the East of Hithlorion, lies Gondorthon Bay, it stretches out for several miles. The shore is a dark thick sand, littered with wilting yellow and orange grasses. Jagged cliffed edges spill massive chunks of ice over their edges, some breaking loose to crash into the Hithlorion Ocean far below. The freezing ocean waters of the south are commonly spotted with massive chunks of ice flow and passing glaciers. Various arctic animals have made their home in this barren place, like the Enzobe Anear. They are a very rare and unique creature as they have the ability to conceal themselves from large predators even though they could easily defeat any opponent. Enzobe Anears have a long, moderately built body made for running, hunting and digging. Their claws are higher set on their paws as to not cause and metallic noise when walking or running on bare ground. Their tail is used as a balance and is usually kept straight. Enzobe Anears also have small horns on either the lower jaw or forehead. They are often very quiet and sensitive and usually stick to themselves. The males have an average length of 8 feet while the females have an average length of 6'5 feet. Their diet includes small arctic creatures and sometimes young foals.
Another type of arctic creature that lives here is the Uleth. There are two types of Uleths, Uleth Shetynal and Uleth Shaundra. The Uleth Shetynal has a life - span of forty - five to fifty years. They are leaner and more streamline, they are quite muscular and their skin and scales are smooth. They jaws are very long and lean, so is their tongue. They have a pair of sleek claws which are not used to attack but to grip prey and rip apart meat. They have a pair of strange stub - like appendages on their backs, probably the remains of wings from millions of years before their evolution. Though they may look really mysterious and cool, they're practically useless. Uleth Shetynals will happily live alone but they usually live in packs of two to five. They do, however, have a very short temper and will bicker over small pieces of food. They are carnivores and will eat any mammal smaller than them, including foals. They will attack injured or sick prey that are larger than them. They kill their prey by ambush. Once caught, their claws fasten a tight grip around its prey, not allowing it to escape, while their teeth bites down on the neck of its prey.
The Uleth Shaundra, however, has a life - span of only thirty to forty years. They are more bulky and heavily armored than the Uleth Shetynals. They have impressive muscles and their skin are rougher. Their jaws open at three points, giving them a gaping grip, much like a leech. Their claws are larger and heavier, not to mention stronger, and they can easily crush bones. Uleth Shaundras have a pair of extra appendages the spring forward, beside their head, and can cut the victims at eye level. Uleth Shaundras usually live alone, they will only create a herd when they are migrating or to hunt more efficiently. The Uleth Shaundras are carnivores as well. They kill their prey by sheer force, targeting the slowest individual. Once they caught their prey, they would either use their claws to pin it down or crush their skulls. Their jaws are often used as a weapon
In all seasons but summer, the Gondorthon bay is a solid thick sheet of ice. When warmer temperatures come to the bay, it is a difficult and dangerous place and many have been known to be lost to the unforgiving frigid waters that linger beneath. In winter when the ice is furthest and strongest something unknown can be seen out in the distance.

South
In the South of Hithlorion, the land rises into a smaller mountain range, overgrown with moss and grass lands, lies Linione. Large still crystal clear lakes and pools are scattered around the terrain, creating large rivers and slow moving creeks that weave all over the lands and web out over all of the lands of Hithlorion. Fed by so much water, the land here is very green and vibrant in the warmer seasons with thick vegetation covering much of its surface. Many herds tend to gather and make their homes on the steep mountainside, drawn in by the heavy plant life and abundant sources of water. It’s a rugged place though and can pose difficulty to navigate and one can easily become lost in the deeper mountains.
There is quite a number of different mushrooms here in Linione. The Erobar is one of the many types. It is a dark blue mushroom, the size of a adult male human thumb. It has white large spots all over itself that glows at night. This mushroom can be used to heal a very rare kind of sickness by just nibbling it. But it can only be eaten in the day, when the white spots are not glowing, as the glows are poisonous. Another type of mushroom around here is the Sumula. Instead of having the mushroom cap facing down, the Sumula's cap is facing up. The stem is a pale yellow while the cap is a bright red color. This mushroom serves as a delicious treat to horses and other creatures. The Sumula's taste is sweetest when it is younger and the taste would slowly turn sour and foal when the Sumula ages. Another type of mushroom that can be found here in Linione is the Baera Mache. This mushroom grows in clutches, unlike the Sumula and the Erobar. It has a very dark purple stem with a bright purple cap, whereby it becomes a lighter purple underneath the cap. Some rare ones will have a pinkish purple color underneath the cap. The Baera Mache is a very poisonous mushroom and they can only be found in dark places, where it glows lightly. They are about two fifty cents tall.
A common type of plant found here is the Ralphye. It is a 1 meter plant with a flower that looks like a sunflower. The petals and leaves would change to a different color on different seasons. Bright Green during Spring, light orange during Autumn, blood red during Summer and a dull blue during Winter. The Ralphye has a total of seventeen petals, and each one a lighter shade of the same color to the other petal. The stem would also change its color on different seasons, however, the colors of the stem would always remain dull. Dull yellow during Spring, dark marroon during Autumn, greyish red during Summer and a dark ocean blue during Winter.
A common type of tree here in Linione is the Honevress. This tree's trunk is made out of thick twisted vine like trunks. The branches of the Honevress is pure silver, and so are the leaves. However, the leaves would turn to a deadly dark red in the summer, and the branches would turn to a pure gold. Small squirrel like creatures likes to make their homes in the small cracks in the Honevress's trunk, these creatures include the Ingum and the Ungon. A common bird, Raleah, also makes their nests here on this tree.
There is a pretty rare tree here in Linione, it is called the Wisym Sparre. It can only be found in the summer. It has a bright red trunk, maroon branches and blood red leaves. The Wisym Sparre, also known as Blood tree, stands 3 meters tall and 1.6 meters wide. The leaves would turn greyish - blue and the trunk would turn blueish - grey at the beginning of Autumn. These signs indicate that the Wisym Sparre is withering. Since this tree only lives for a season, no birds nor creatures build their home on it. The only thing this tree is used for is it's dark purple toxic venom, Cyne, found deep in the center of the tree trunk. Cyne is the deadliest venom and is used for dar purposes only. It would first paralyze it's victim, and injecting them with pain so strong it's victims would be begging for death. After a day or two of great agony, the victim's heart would slowly beat until it stops.
The Raleah is a small chubby little bird very similar to a hummingbird on Earth. They come in a variety of bright colors, from a bright blue all the way to yellow. They make bonds with elves and only elves. An elf has to choose a Raleah and a Raleah has to do the same. Raleahs are very loyal to their elven companions. They have two long tails at their end that crisscross each other. Their beaks are sharp like a kingfisher's but they only eat small bread crumbs. Though they have small tiny wings, they can fly at a speed of 10km per hour. They would often return to their homes, however, at any call of a whistle from their elven companions, they would immediately fly there. They have very tiny years that can't be seen by the naked eye. The females Raleahs have softer feathers and a smaller where as the males are bigger have have less feathers.
