'The Claws of the Empires'

So, I'm writing this sort of Warriors-esque type story. I'll be sort of using this bit as a "dump" I guess. I'll be posting snippets and stuff, asking for advice. I'm not sure if this will be "officially released" to the internet, like, ever, but I at least want to write this well. I'd like some feedback, and I know it's similar but please try to push Warriors from your mind as you read this. I'm trying my best to make it very different from it and for a different sort of aesthetic.

The current title is "The Claws of the Empires," but the name is kind of cringe-y to me, so I'm open to suggestions. PM me if you have one. I'll post the first bit soon.

The Basic History

There are two opposing empires—The Streak and The Leap. Each empire is split up into many different ranks, all led by one emperor or empress.

The Streak is the older of the two empires, it's first emperor being a (feral)housecat named Bengal. Many of the first citizens were other housecats, so they use quite a bit of "The folks'*" terminology. They strongly believe that most of them are related closely to the mighty tiger.

20-some odd seasons* after the founding of The Streak, a rebellious young she* named Cloudy decided to go her own way, taking many other's with her. Together, they founded The Leap. They believe they have very close relations to leopards, despite their connections to The Streak and its tiger beliefs.

This is just the basics, there's far more to it than this!

*The Folks- people
*Seasons- measurement of time. Seasons are the same for them as they are for us.
