Do you like to include symbolism/metaphors/allegories in your stories? If so, please share a bit about them.
Haha, that's my biggest strength in writing! (It actually has to do with my INFP type). I LOVE to include all three of those things in my stories, mostly as allegories for Christianity. BUT, I do do others as well. Like, for example, one story I wrote about my most favorite villain of all time, had the theme of "be careful what you wish for". But, it was also an allegory for how our choices in life can seriously impact our future, and how we all have the possibility for evil, some just choose to be good. It's a really good story, actually, but I can't share it on CS due to violence (torture) and minor language and it would be hard to follow for those who don't know Nightshade. It's really more of a companion story.
What's the wisest/smartest thing a character you have created said?
I really can't pick or really remember most of them. (Whatever I write down is instantly forgotten, which is why I don't like putting my stories on paper until I have enough to continue them). BUT there is one quote I remember, it's actually from the aforementioned story.
"I know I repeat this often, but you are not a monster. Not the monster you believe yourself to be, not the monster you show others. Yes, you have done horrible things. Caused unspeakable amounts of pain and suffering. But that doesn’t mean you are a monster, it just means that you are lost and unsure of who you are." - Felicia the lycanthrope speaking to Nightshade the witch.
