When was the last time you cried while writing your story? What was so emotional?Never. I've only physically cried twice over characters. Once was while reading a book about this girl who had leukemia, and she died (it reminded me of my grandpa who'd recently died at the time) and the other time was during Halt's Peril (Ranger, I'm sure you know what I mean with that one). I may get depressed while writing, but I don't cry about it, like ever. Idk why.
Have you ever tried to draw your characters or your settings? How about a map?No. I suck at drawing and I don't like torturing myself.
Have you ever listened to a song and it inspired your book?
Every song I listen to affects my writing in some way, so yeah.
What's the most emotional scene you've written that wasn't a death scene. Did you cry while writing it?Mack's memories of Riley on the plane. I didn't cry, but this one always gets me.
Riley had been her best friend since they were born. They were never apart; if you saw Mack, then you saw Riley right by her side. Some people thought they were twins, brother and sister, because of how they acted. But they didn't look alike at all: Mack was tall, with incredibly short blonde hair and light green eyes; Riley had been a bit shorter than Mack, with spiked red hair and his eyes were darker green.
She could picture him in perfect clarity; the lopsided smile, joyful laugh. They'd never been romantic in any way. They had loved each other like siblings, and now she was left broken hearted by the man she'd considered her brother.
Riley Donovan was dead. Riley Donovan was dead.
The bomb had killed him instead of her. She was wounded, yes, that was why she was being sent home. Riley was being sent home too. But he'd never open his eyes again, or laugh, or even cry. He was being sent home, but not in the way he should've been.
Mack now had PTSD, a shoulder that might become paralyzed, and recently had emergency surgery on her leg and shoulder because of shrapnel. She was better off than Riley, some said. She didn't believe that. She would have to bury her best friend and brother, and had absolutely no one. What was life if you were alone?
Have you ever made a super hilarious person, that almost every time they said something, you'd end up laughing?Nope.
Have you ever tried to voice act your characters?NO NO NO
[size=85]When was the last time you laughed while writing your story? What was so funny?About two days ago, when I was writing about... My sister tripping on her cape and falling down...
I'm awful I knowHow do you come up with your characters? Are some based off of you personality or people you've meant in life?I just go with it. I pick out names and how they look, along with their family, then I just start writing. Any personality I pick for them will be different once I start writing anyway.
Tanta is actually like a representation of myself, and my sister is in my stories, but otherwise, no.
Which types of characters do you attach to most? (Personality-wise)Either depressed cupcakes, sassy cupcakes, or PRECIOUS BABIES THAT NEED PROTECTION.
How do you decide what to name your characters? It depends. Tanta's name I found online, on a name origin site. Kritanta means
God of Death in Indian. With Spencer, I just love the name. And Mack, well... her first name is Holly, and when I was first making her, my Mom's cat, Holly, kept harassing me. So yeah. It depends.
Which character in your stories is your favorite and why?
Character's name: DON'T MAKE ME CHOSE!!! I love Magnus, Tanta, Mack, and Toby, though. They must be protected.
What stories they're in: Oh lord. They each have a separate story from before the main one, and then the main. It's
Maggie and the Ferocious Octavia (Magnus),
Chronicles of Death (Tanta),
Soldier, Mechanic (Mack),
Stars Around Us (Main story) and Toby's doesn't have a name yet.
Why they're your favorite: I dunno. Magnus was actually supposed to be my villain but I just... I love him too much for that. Tanta is practically me, Mack needs a friend, and Tobes needs a hug. From Spencer.
Backs away before I start shipping...Ok I'm caught up!
And welcome, OmNom! c:
