So, it's officially here. My first day back to school. Yay... Why can't summer just last forever?

My teacher this year is named Mr. Walker. He's... interesting. He's an old dog and nearly blind, so he's always losing things and can barely tell his paw apart from his tail. This morning alone he must have called me six different names, at least one of which I'm pretty sure belongs to no one even attending the school. Not to mention that the class was in a riot and he hardly seemed to notice. Must be deaf too. I'm being honest when I say I'm not too sure in his teaching capabilities, but he seemed nice enough. He spoke with passion as he discussed what we'd be learning, even if halfway through said speech he trailed off, having completely forgotten what he was even talking about to begin with. We had to remind him that he was talking about our history lessons and from there he picked up again until about five minutes later when he once more forgot and that time nobody bothered to inform him.
I met up with Clover right when school started so that we could discuss our schedules. We'd only gotten them a few nights earlier and so hadn't had a chance yet to exchange info. Of course, we ended up in the same class, as usual. We always seemed to, ever since we were little. And the one year we weren't in the same class she threw a fit and they were forced to transfer her to my room. I suppose they've learned their lesson since, as we haven't been separated again.
Walking to class together, I think Clover quite nearly had a heart attack. Caden and Tyler, two fellow students of ours, were walking along the hall towards us. As they hadn't noticed us yet, Clover grabbed me, shoving me around a corner and making me hide out in the girls toilet with her whilst they passed. Great, first day and rules were already being broken. Off to a great start.
'What was that about?' I'd hissed.
'They almost saw us.''Yeah, and...?'

She just glared at me. See, Clover has had a crush on Caden for the longest time. Like, back since primary school I believe. He's the only person who can seem to turn that fierce, mischievous, outgoing weirdo into a stuttering, shy, flustered girl. Honestly, it's a little gross and a tad pathetic as well. I love Clover, honestly, but it just gets sad when she's been writing 'Claden' over her notebooks since primary, surrounding the ship name in love hearts. It's really sad...
So yeah, that's partially the reason for her tackling me into the girls toilet. The most of it, though, had to do with Tyler, the girl who'd been walking with him. She was his girlfriend.

See, Tyler isn't your ordinary girl. No. She's the school's scary, and yet frighteningly beautiful goth girl. The 'Dark Queen' most call her. Beautiful in every aspect with a heavy set of eyelashes framing twinkling orbs (commence the hate comments) surrounded in luxurious black hair tucked neatly under the black rimmed hat she always wears. To add onto it, her fur is a gorgeous natural pattern of black, purple, white, and grey and she always wears elegant, translucent laced dresses, which, of course, only add on to her title of a queen. Basically, she's everything that Clover is not.
I'm sure by now that you can likely guess why it is that Clover doesn't exactly like to be near Tyler. Answer: She despises her. Tyler is queen of the dark scene as well as the girlfriend of the one and only Caden, Clover's lifelong crush, while Clover is simply a freaky artist girl who doesn't know when to shut her trap and is oh so pathetically single.
Hey, I'm single too, but I don't cover my notebooks in love hearts. (Okay, maybe once, but come on. I've only fancied Babs for a few years. She's been swooning over Caden since she was a pup.)
But yeah, so basically, she doesn't like her. Having those two in a room together is somewhat scary, to be honest, because Clover can become quite murderous looking. Of course, Tyler hardly seems to notice Clover even exists, but still, even the one-sided tension is enough to thicken the air.

So later that day, in the cafeteria, I saw my beloved Babs sitting with her best friend Shauna, aka the school's Queen Bee. The 'it' girl. I hate her. Everyone does, actually. Either you hate her or you want to be her, there isn't much in between. Willow is an exception, though. She's sweet and gentle and kind and loving and yet she somehow manages to withstand spending her lunches and breaks with the evil sorceress known as Shauna. It bewilders and disgusts me at once. The one flaw in Babs' otherwise flawless self.

Also with them sat Arabelle, Shauna's twin, younger by two minutes, or so Shauna claims. I feel that she just says that to try and make herself seem like the more important one, and the sad thing is that it works too. Arabelle is a sweetie, a genuinely good dog, but when it comes to Shauna she's a pushover. She bends to her sister's will and does all her dirty work for her just so that she'll like her better or some nonsense like that. I dunno. It's rather ridiculous if you ask me.
So anyways, after school ended Clover and I headed to my house and had some smoothies my mum made with fruit from her garden. It was really good, actually! There was strawberries, and raspberries, and melon, and a bit of cucumber and honeydew. So delicious.
Anna kept bothering us the rest of the afternoon, but eventually we managed to lock ourselves in my room and she finally left us alone. Then Clover and I just listened to music and hung out for the rest of the day. Her mum was supposed to come and pick her up, but after much convincing Clover managed to get her to let her stay the night. I live closer to the school, anyhow, so as long as we didn't stay up too late she was allowed. We stayed up too late. Whoops.
Anyways, as I write this it's past 1 am and the both of us are getting ready to sleep. I have bunk beds in my room, so she's sleeping on the top bunk. I'm exhausted and having a hard time even keeping my eyes open. Besides, there's more school tomorrow, so I really ought to go. Cya.
