this is my private forum for my bear run summer event tolter taming... I am trying to get my horse to succeed so I can call him my own... I don't really want anybody trying to join in... but I may allow you to read through it and post some bits of advice so I can possibly make it better...
Thank you
~~first encounter~~
As I walk up to the paddock to the horse I would tame, I spotted it. A gorgeous buckskin stallion...he better be the right one...I think inside my head as I carefully unlatch the gate and cautiously step it, closing the gate behind me and slowly approach the horse, my arm slightly outstretched for the large stallion to sniff my palm.... its soft lip slightly grazes my skin and I lightly jerk it back. The large stallion rears and attemps to paw at me with his hooves and I almost scream, covering my head with both my arms, before holding one out to calm him down, though he doesn't and turns, trying to kick at me and I dash to the side just in time. I grab a rope on the side post and quickly knot it into the hoop of a lasso and hoop it at his neck, He rears angrily, his mane wiping in the air and snorts in disgust a I tighten the rope...
Slipping my hand into my back jean pocket... I reveal a ripe apple and hold it out in an open palm and he takes a hesitant bite... as the apple juice begins to foam on his mouth, he lowers his head and steps closer, his forelock hanging over his eyes and neighs silently, his large curved ears twitching at my soft voice and I smile. I soon back away slowly and grab the latch on the gate, leaving on a good note a smile edges across my face... I will have so much fun training this horse...
