Hey.
The bruise on my arm is all gross and purple and ewwww. But it's better than the others, I guess.
It wasn't bad enough that I got to skip school though, so I went today. Oh, and Lucy showed slight concern for me, but my parents did most of the worrying. She did ask if I was okay though. I guess that's an improvement.
Anyway, in my first period, I was called to the Principal's and everyone knew that it was about the fight. After the fight, it spread around the school like the flu. By the end of the day, there isn't a single person who hasn't at least heard about it.
In the office, there was a secretary there, tapping away on her computer. She didn't even look up, but I guess she could sense that I was there because she asked if I was Alyssa Greene.
Me: Yes.
Secretary: Door on your left.
Me: Thank you.
I walked in to find Courtney, Megan, and Time sitting in three of the four chairs in front of our principal. Courtney had a lot of scratches that seem like they would leave a few scars. Megan was the same, except with a black eye. Time smiled at me when I came in, but the others just looked straight ahead.
When I sat down, the principal cleared her throat. One thing you should know about our principal is that she tends to be really formal when she's serious. She used to be a lawyer, but something happened and now she's a principal. Eh
Principal: First of all, are you all okay?
We all nodded.
Principal: That's good. Would you please explain to me what exactly happened?
There was just these silent rules that stated that unless you're addressed to, you don't talk.
Principal: Courtney? Megan? Time? Alyssa? Anybody?
We stayed silent.
Principal: I see. Would it be preferable if we did private interviews?
I didn't do anything, but I'm assuming someone nodded their head, because she clapped her hands and sent Megan, Time, and me back to class.
I couldn't concentrate on anything because I was so focused on listening for the announcement asking for me. Each period, one of us was called to the Principal's office. I was the last to be called.
When I got back to the office, I saw that instead of four chairs, there was only one now.
Principal: Have a seat, Alyssa.
I sat.
Principal: In terms of injuries, it's obvious that you've received the least. Why is that?
Me: Time pushed me to the side during the fight.
Principal: Do you know what caused the fight?
Me: I have no idea.
Principal: Why is that?
Me: I was talking to Time when the fight started.
Principal: Do you mind if you tell me exactly what happened yesterday?
Me: I went to school earlier than normal and saw Courtney talking to Razor. I happened to be sitting on a bench that was nearby. Megan joined their conversation. Then Time sat next to me and we started talking. Then we heard yelling from Courtney and Megan and Courtney slapped Megan. It started a fight so Time and I tried to stop them, but we just became involved in it.
Principal: You said that Courtney and Megan were yelling at each other before the fight started. Do you remember what they were talking about?
Me: Uh... Yeah, I think so. Hold on.
I reached into my bag and pulled my diary out. I flipped to the most recent page and read it out.
Principal: You wrote it down?
Me: Yeah... It's my diary.
Principal: When did you write it in?
Me: That night when I went home.
Principal: Can I read it?
Me: Uh... Doesn't this classify under invasion of privacy?
Principal: I'm not going to share it with the entire school. I need to know exactly what happened and that book is the most recent thing we have.
Me: ... It's sort of embarrassing though.
Principal: It's fine, I don't judge.
Me: .__.
I handed it to her. She opened the cover and started reading the first page.
Me: WAIT WAIT WAIT, NO DON'T READ IT FROM THE BEGINNING
She looked up at me.
Principal: Why not? I'm sure your life is quite interesting-, I mean, I need to know all you know and this seems like the easiest way of doing it.
Me: Uh huh. But I need to write in it tonight when I get home. It's sort of what a diary is for.
Principal: Just write on a piece of paper or something.
Me: D:<
So here you are, piece of paper. It's just not the same.
This piece of paper is definitely not as cool or big as my diary.
So yeah.
Good bye. That is all.
Lol, BYEEE
