Mudkit sat in a patch of clovers outside of the shady nursery. Honeywing had made him come out. Suddenly, Whitesky approached him. "What do you waannntttt.." Mudkit muttered. Whitesky chuckled. I was wondering if you would like to let me teach how yo hunt." he said thoughtfully, his white eyes watching Mudkit. Mudkit raised his small head. "I'm not a apprentice. the brown kit grumbled, pushing his head back into the clovers. "That doesn't matter. C'mon!" The tom urged. The kit mumbled again and got up. They walked together over to a area full of mentors and apprentices. "So," Whitesky explained, dropping into a hunter's crouch. "Get down like this, not too close to the floor." Mudkit copied, a little clumsy as his tail lashed about in the leaves behind him. Whitesky smirked. "Ahh, little warrior. If you keep your tail as alive as a snake, all the prey will hear you coming." Mudkit muttered something and stopped his tail. "Yes.. Yes, that's good. A bit higher. There! Now, do your best pounce." With a yelp, Mudkit flung himself forward. "I'll demonstrate." Whitesky settled into the crouch again and sprang forward, landing softly on a crunched orange leaf. "Woah." said Mudkit in wonder. He dropped into a crouch and jumped forward like Whitesky, landing on a flower.
back to liquidate for flight rising.
