(Somewhere I can post poems?? Yay!)
Winter
Your embrace is cold
It chills my bones
Your hands send shivers
With every touch
Your smile is fake
It scares me so
To see emptiness
Inside your eyes
Your words are painful
Daggers of ice
They cut and they stab
The very soul
Your heart is missing
Under the snow
Something important
To understand
All the bitter cold
Is nothing if
Compared to the warmth
When I'm let in
Surprised
You'd be surprised how little we know
Of the passed down fairy tales from long ago
Many of us believe and falsely understand
That we know it all; now show by raise of hand
Have you heard of Rapunzel, Cinderella or Rose-bud
Of Snow-drop, Rumpelstiltskin, or Riding with her hood of blood
That's a lot more than I thought there'd be
Let try some harder ones so you can see
How about Mother Holle, Cat-skin, The Queen Bee
Tom Thumb, The Frog-prince or The Juniper Tree
I bet that green royal pain was the only one you got
There's so many more I'll name a whole lot
The Robber Bride-groom, The Five Servants, The Salad, The Nose
I'll tell you that last one's not about lying Pinocchioes
Old Sultan, Mrs Fox, King Grisly-beard, Roland and May-bird
That tale at the end is both cute and absurd
Pee-wit, The Seven Ravens, Faithful John, The Blue Light
This list is stating to become a dreadful sight
So many stories and if I rightly recall
In just one Grimm brothers collection is 55 in all
And those are only the ones that made it to print
Think of all the ones that might've missed the literary stint
There you have it, just a tiny show
Now, aren't you surprised how little we know
