the leaves comforted adelaide. she kept walking down the beige smooth (yet somewhat rocky) pathway that led down to who knew where. there were creatures that adelaide couldn't remember the name of, but she knew they created this strange path. something starting with h, she strained to remember.

leaves danced down to their destination on the ground, some brushing by adelaide's fur. she smiled gently as a soft breeze had swift by, but when it did, a leaf from the side seem to plant onto her face. she shook it off, surprised with strangeness sketched on her face. she kept trying to walk, but the wind was picking up altitude and power, even more leaves slapping not just her face, but her side and her tail. eventually adelaide was forced to sit down on the endless field of grass that sat behind the trees.

time passed, and adelaide thought it was all over. she started to nervously pad back to the strange path, when a massive gust of wind smacked her face, and made her loose her balance and fall backwards. adelaide staggered to stand up, but fell over again by another fat gust of wind. she noticed, however, that a little aqua scarf had followed the fierce wind and drifted a distance before landing on the grass. it caught adelaide's attention, and she scrambled for it, only for both her and the scarf to be blown violently backwards.

adelaide finally reached for the scarf after several gusts of powerful winds. she clutched onto the scarf, and the wind seemed to have stopped completely. adelaide froze, listening to the stiff and frozen silence that hung over her.
minutes passed, but still no wind. adelaide took a step. nothing happened. she started to trot back to the path, feeling safe and relieved that the vicious wind was over. she knew the first thing to do was - to find the owner of the scarf.
days passed, but no one owned up. adelaide then started to have second thoughts about the scarf, and was thinking about keeping it. she resisted to do so, but another fortnight went passed, and eventually gave up and kept it.
