RANDOM FACT #3:
Candy is good.

I was a member of the Rebel Alliance, a timelord, a tribute in the Games, a Dauntless soldier, a runner in the Maze, and a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. I'm so good at sleeping that I can do it with my eyes closed. I visited Jurassic World survived the Time War. I am unstoppable.

@bliss Alrighty here we go, figuring out the first interview lol so heres what you will do. Just reserve a post, like say the next one, and people will ask questions. On the post you reserved, you will put the questions you recieve as well as your answers and you may format it however you want c: keeping it all on one post will allow me to link to it on the front page and keep it all organized. Alright, round one here we go!

(I will update the front page as soon as I'm on a computer)

      Question for bliss
Where do you usually get your inspiration for a story? Does it just pop into your mind or does something give you an idea?

Alright, here's my saved post where I'll be answering all questions. Ask away! c:

✖ -- Where do you usually get your inspiration for a story? Does it just pop into your mind or does something give you an idea?
indentUsually, my inspiration for a new story comes to me late at night [ and usually, I forget it by morning xD]. They come to me when I'm reading, too, but be careful when you are inspired to write a book because of a book you read -- you don't want them to be very similar at all, unless you are not intending on publishing the book.

✖ -- Do you find it hard to think of names? If so, how do you overcome that?

indentI usually don't find it hard to think up first names, but I am horrible with surnames! Whenever I am stuck, I just look up name ideas on Google. c:

✖ -- What would you say would be your favorite work you have done so far?
    indentHmm ... that's a hard one. I honestly don't think that I can pick a favorite.

✖ -- How do you write sad scenes - for example, a funeral?
indentI am the worst at writing sad scenes. It always comes out too cliche. So, usually, I write about the aftereffects of an accident, such as, if someone's sister / brother died, it would be the child that was left behind's grieving and maybe a few flashbacks.

✖ -- What point of view do you usually write in? [1st, 2nd, 3rd]
indentI cannot, for the life of me, write in the 2nd POV. I use both 1st & 3rd, but I find myself leaning more towards 1st person.

✖ -- How do you keep yourself motivated?
indentI have a hard time keeping myself motivated, but usually reading a good book sparks my creative side and encourages me to continue on with my story. If they can write a whole book, why can't I? :)

✖ -- What are your strategies when encountering a plot hole?
indent[ I'm not entirely sure if I am answering this correctly / understand what you mean, but here it goes c: ] I'm not great with this, and it happens a lot with me. I simply go back and edit so it explains it a bit more. I don't really have any ... strategies to avoid encountering a plot hole; sorry.

✖ -- Do you have any fun writing exercises you do? Care to share one or two with us?
indentI love writing exercises! I have a few sites that has some fun ones. If I can find them again, I'll edit this later with their links. You can find a ton of cool exercises on Pinterest, though.

✖ -- Which of your own characters is your favorite, and can you tell us the story of how they came to be?
indentMy favorite character would have to be one not from a story, but from a roleplay I was in a couple of months ago. Her name was Margaret [ Maggie ]. It was like she had her own mind and knew what she wanted to be written like, and I just followed along.

✖ -- What are your biggest influences as a writer?
indentOkay, well, I'm going to change this to Who, if that's okay with you. First off, it would have to be my mother, who is also my teacher. She got me interesting in writing when I was little. Next would be a few of my favorite authors: Suzanne Collins and Orson Scott Card. When I was younger, I had a favorite author which novels about animals, but her name escapes me at the moment. Lastly, it would have to be rosemarrie. I absolutely love her writing style, and I was first inspired to publish my writing here on CS by her when I read one of her stories. ^^

✖ -- Could you give us some of your favorite most inspiring words? ^^
indentI ran across this little poem by LianaAlma and found it rather inspiring. :)
    You are a writer.

You have been inspired. A popular movie, book, or play, of history and fictions has made your fingers fly across paper. You have been inspired by something that connected to you.

    You are a writer.

You want to to show the world YOUR world, ideas and beings. This is a chance to show the world your own mind. You want to bring something entirely original to life.

    You are a writer.

Someone has mocked you, thrown your hard work in the trash. For the first time you no longer wish to write, and hesitate. Someone has made you doubt the power of words.

    You are a writer.

You have picked up the pen again, and opened your laptop. Despite doubt you continue, flowing the words of your soul. You have fought against negative emotions, hope restored.

    You are a writer.

It has happened. You've let someone see your writing, and the smile received is greater than you ever hoped. You grin. It has made you happier than you ever remember feeling.

    You are a writer.

And despite everything that happens along the way...

    You will always be one.

✖ -- Do you have any strategies for combating writer's block?
indentUgh ... the dreaded writer's block. I do have a few strategies for getting over it though! First, read, read read. It never fails to spark my creative side. Second, if you're stuck on one part of your story and have a plan and have been wanting to write another part of your story, go on and write that, and come back to the part you're stuck on later, when your writer's block is gone. Third, just write. Don't stop to fix a mistake or look up a word or to perfect a sentence. Just write and edit later. Fourth, observe. Look at the way people walk, or the way they talk. Notice their nervous habits, such as pulling on their skirt / pants, tugging at their hair, etc. If you need any more ideas, PM me! I have a ton.

✖ -- I've noticed that you come up with a lot of dystopia, or out of the ordinary situations: where do you get your inspiration for that?
indentMy two favorite genres are Dystopian Fiction and Sci-Fi [ such as The Hunger Games, The Circle Series, or Ender's Game ], so that's what I mainly like to write about. I find it easier to write about something I'm familiar with, and find most interesting.

✖ -- Does your "main" character have to be a certain race, hair color, eye color, etc?
indentNot at all! But I tend to have the same-ish, cliche main character in most of my stories. Female, in her teens, white [ although, I have nothing against any other race; my own mother is "black", and I am partially African/American, although I look Caucasian ], brown hair, eye color doesn't matter. Most of my main characters all share one trait; sarcastic.

✖ -- Do you have a 'soundtrack' you listen to while writing?
indentI usually find it distracting to listen to music while I'm writing, but when I'm in the mood to have music playing, I usually play the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron soundtrack, or some soft, classical music on Pandora.

✖ -- Do you do any preparations before you begin writing?
indentYes! :) I come up with the basic plot, then the character outlines, and then, usually, I make a list of occurrences that will happen in the story.

✖ -- Do you simply imagine your characters or do you find pictures/draw them?
indentI plan them out in my heads, then try and find a picture that is similar to what I had imagined them to look like. If I could draw them instead of finding a picture, trust me, I would. I used to be able to draw, but I've been slacking off over the past 1-2 years, so I'm pretty rusty.

✖ -- We all know that writer tend to put at least some of themselves into their characters. What trait of yours would you say crops up most in your characters?
indentMost of my main characters are -- surprisingly -- usually the complete opposite of me, in terms of personality. The side characters are usually more like me. Clumsy, obnoxious, curious, "there" for you, and oblivious. :)

✖ -- What do you do when you have a bunch of conflicting story ideas?
indentI'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'm assuming you're asking what do I do when I have a bunch of story ideas and don't know which ones to write? Feel free to address me if you didn't mean this. Sorry; I suck at understanding things. xD Anways, it's really tough when that happens, and it happens so much. I probably write out 1 out of every 10 ideas I have. I guess that you just have to go with what story idea that you like the most or can go the farthest with.

✖ -- I've noticed that you come up with a lot of dystopia, or out of the ordinary situations: where do you get your inspiration for that?

✖ -- Where do you look for inspiration when you have writers block? Also, what is your favourite genre to write?
indentI mostly look to reading, or look up 'writing prompts' or 'dialogue prompts' on Pinterest / Google. My favorite genre to write is Dystopian, Fantasy, or Sci-Fi. :)

I have a ton of questions! XP

How do you keep yourself motivated?

What are your strategies when encountering a plot hole?

Do you have any fun writing exercises you do? Care to share one or two with us?

Which of your own characters is your favorite, and can you tell us the story of how they came to be?

What are your biggest influences as a writer? Or if that's too hard, what are your biggest influences for your current story?

Could you give us some of your favorite most inspiring words? ^^
