{ ＩＮＫＬＩＮＧＳ v.4 } A Thread For Writers

To all of the above^

Wow, that was fast. XD I'm looking for a mix of both original and classic fantasy races. They should all be entirely unique, with very few similarities. I have a few inklings as to what they might be like, so here's the gist:

Race 1: Live in Cranstro, a dark forest. Very tall, agile, thin, and generically elf-like. Preferably tree-ish colors?
--- I figure this one would work as an elf-type thing.
Race 2: Live in Fiivala, a mostly mountainous/aspen forest. Most human like, but has very subtle changes (snake-iris?). Average height, muscular, and fair.
--- I just went off of humans.
Race 3: Live in Meergof, a desert with sparse oasis(es). Lizard-like upwalkers, with tails, spines, and occasionally claws. Bright colors - possibly poisonous?
--- /was playing too much Skyrim/ Went with Argonian
Race 4: Live in Cumaspiik, a mix of plains+plateaus. Short, proud, dwarven creatures. Have dark eyes + red? toned hair.
--- I thought about different dwarves, since this is the most technology advanced species
Race 5: Live in Kharrbonia, a desert plain/savannah. Furry, based off of (cats? Foxes? ferrets?). Very thin, sly, + long faces.
--- Again, Skyrim, maybe a Khajiit/Fox mix?
Race 6: Live in Dapnier, a mash of islands, swamps, and mountains. Dark-skinned...about all I have. Magically-adept, maybe wings?
--- No idea on this one; supposed to be secretive + the most peaceful. Something demon-like, though.

That's all I have. It's something, but not enough to go off of. I'd like to definitely improve races 4-6. Thank you for the help!

Also, I've temporarily lost interest in Dragon Flightless. I guess I just felt limited by the fact that I first came up with a character, and tried to make a story around him. I'm better at writing stories by coming up with a plot twist.
Because of this, Dragon Flightless is being metaphorically shelved, while I work on a story that you could call the reincarnation of Searching for the Aurora Australis and A Spirit That Shines Forever Bright (that Zelda fanfic idea I had a while ago).

- I simply missed your form by accident

In most cases, I went past the user changes because I was concentrated on something else, and most of you had changed your user name multiple times. If your username has been changed but isn't written up there, please PM ME your new user and nicknames.

On the fiction front, though, I have completed all of TWO SHORT STORIES 8D I think they're set in the same universe, although I am much happier with my second one.

i haven't posted in such a long time but here goes..
don't know if any of you remember me, if you do it's probably from the chatzys we have had in the past for inklings, which mel is going to be putting another one out pretty soon i believe. cx also it's about time she got to updating the members list

i haven't really had any muse to write recently.. and when i do i never know how to start the chapter off or whatever. i've had major writer's block for a while and i have no idea how to cure it. any tips? xD
at least nothing has gone on chicken smoothie for a while. i'll fix that soon though. i'm bad at writing but i enjoy it so.. it's okay.

i have a few things in mind for new stories (one i have previously had and peeked back in this thread to see my idea about it, might try that up again) but i really have no idea how to start it or what i plan on doing with it.

but anyway.. heyo! i'll try to be posting more hopefully or when a new chatzy comes out i'll be there twenty-four/seven probably.

hey guys! just wanted to update anyone who is interested in what's going on with my writing life! XD

well i started writing a high fantasy story with a friend of mine from another country. we actually brought the idea up last year and had started writing before we realized that our characters were too flat and the plot felt too rushed. so now, we are restarting everything from scratch. the worldbuilding, character creation all that, all from scratch. so we're starting small, we're starting with the races. and since we already did a very in depth creation of the elves last time, we decided to start with that.

i'll just tell you guys something small about the elves

there are a total of five elven kingdoms: Tasirdil [north], Tadirien [northwest], Nimrastir [south], Cilost [center], Vallonde [west]
the tasirdil kingdom is in a pine forest full of fog and very little light. the tadirien kingdom is also in a forest but full of greenery and light. nimrastir is on the edge of a cliff, where the ocean is just below. cilost is in the desert where there are longer days and shorter nights and water is also scarce there. sandstorms and heatwaves are very common there. finally, vallonde is up in the snow-capped mountains where there are longer nights and shorter days. it's really cold there and avalanches and blizzards are common.

Alrighty, here goes my first post here! I'm trying my hand at something new that I've never attempted before and I would really love some opinions on it. Its A Walk Down Memory Lane and while I'm hardly into it I don't wish to continue something if it is dry and boring. I usually write fairly crazy stuff (my main thing I'm working on is about a physcopath who is taking over the world by turning everyone against eachother with fear, but I can't post it on cs) and so this (idk what genre it would be) is very different for me. Any feedback is apprieciated (:

anyway - yeah, i haven't written in a long time and i'm sure i
haven't even improved. yesterday i deleted a lot of old writing
threads, and i realized how cringey i was (and am), so it almost
makes me not want to post any stuff for a while in fear of that
happening again. oh well, i guess life goes on.

that sounds really interesting, actually. it's nice to see that you're
so dedicated to getting the details of it! i think if you continue
on writing that it will be really good. it reminds me a tiny bit of
warrior cats? just in the whole division idea, but other than that
it's not really like it at all cx.

i like what you wrote, and it's pretty dramatic sounding, and it
looks like you were going for that? if you would want a larger
critique, i can do that over pm, but i'm notsure if you wanted
it. just keep writing and you'll get even betterwith time! (don't
be like me and give up for a whole year cause that sorta kills it)

Dialogue. Definitely dialogue. I can write 1,000 words describing a character's personality, but as soon as I have to demonstrate that personality by giving them a natural, yet unique, way of speaking that also advances the plot -- I'm at a loss.
