ever since little Ari was young, she was a Nephelm. a descendant of the
angels, that was blessed, and would go into training to hunt demons and
other evil creatures. as she grew older, she was passed into the world of
the evil, and was told to kill them. all of them, and trust no one. being a
good girl, she listened to the angel's songs and went on her quest. but as
she left her chapel where she was trained, her heart was aching to fight
the good fight, against evil. now we will follow this girl, commonly called
Dragonet, through her new battle, the Overlords. and we will be silent...

this book is more about the supernatural, and angels to guide a girl who is
older than a normal 18 year old. yet she hunts demons, she has three allies
by her side. two boys that look her age, Alex and Dom, and a dire wolf,
Kiko. There will be many things in this book, but the most I will get is PG.
This means no bloody or gory descriptions that are too bad, and no deep
relationships between characters.

"last words are appreciated!" the girls voice was taunting and she was nodding to her comrades. The wolf jumped up and down, pacing around the goblin that the girl dangled by its feet. Whining and whimpering, he paced around and made large jumps to get the evil creature. She swung the goblin by its foot as she giggled. "Shouldn't we let it go by now?" A deep voice of a demon boy flew into the air, and she looked at him with a giggle. "That'd be less fun." She said with a smirk to the boy, "Then the word of us wont get out!" Another boy argued, his voice was calmer, and more human. "Fine." She said and dropped it, and the dire wolf's jaws clasped around it. She shivered and stuck her tongue out, disgusted. "I didn't mean like that!" The demon boy's voice came into their ears, and the girl shrugged gently. If she wasn't covered in dry blood, she would look like a princess. Her skin was very pale, and her eyes were a icy blue. Her hair was a dark brown and she was a literal stick figure. Her armor was tight on her, showing off her hour glass body. A tight corset that was made of bright silver armor scaled her sides, and a large robe covered the rest of her body. It was a wizard's robe, and was shaped for battle. It only went down to her calves, and forked there, with large flag like layers that when she jumped, it would fly up and gently land down with a wing like movement, while it was laced down her sides to show the metal of the corset, the whole thing was leather. Her breast plate was silver as well, with elaborate designs on the bottom and top, over her clothes. Her cuffs were leather on the skin, with metal over them for protection, and she had long sleeves and gloves that went to her elbows. Her boots went to her thighs, and they were black like her robe. She wore no armor, but a circlet that went to her mid forehead. The small gem in the middle housed angel wings and she had two dual swords on her back, with many daggers throughout her body, yet her hair was matted with red liquid, it was perfect and went down to her back. She had a necklace that could be recognized form a mile away. It was a charm of the angels, and it housed a type of steel dragon claws, they were clasping a large sapphire, and from another angel, a ruby.

The demon boy looked like a prince. His eyes were a crimson red, and his facial structure made his cheekbones show much more than a normal person. He was very skinny, and very tall. His hair was black with matted blood in it, and he was pale as well, yet he had a spiked tail that was black, and red, it was never out though, and retractable. His smirk would melt you, and scare you at the same time, and he wore all black. His shoulder plates were silver and plated, with many layers. He wore no helmet, but he wore ebony armor on his body, much like a night, but it was much flatter. He had large black boots, metal coated, and armored legs of ebony as well. His armor had demon engravings on it, and he had one large sword that was jagged and very long, reaching his thighs. It was very heavy, and it was made of solid steel, and it was like a cutlass, but as big as a quarter of a person, and as thick as a maple tree. He bore nothing but steel gloves, running up his arm, having metal fingers, it made his fingers and nails look much longer, and he had claws now, metal ones, and they were lethal. They had odd engravings through the whole glove, and the claws were as big as a finger, coated with black liquid. He had a crimson necklace that was shaped as a demon's eye.

The last boy was tall as well, as tall as the demon boy. His hair was a fair blonde and his eyes were green. He wore no helmet, and he was quiet tanned, a gentle sun kiss hit him. He was, like the demon boy, very muscular. Yet he didn't bare armor, just leather in the naturalist color, with a odd gem on his chest. He looked very serious, and he had only a small dagger with a enchantment on it. He was a warlock, and relied on magic and spells. Yes, he would be flame resistant, and everything else resistant, but all his pants were, well they were leather as well, and his boots went to his knee. He wore nothing on his hands, but his arms were covered by a type of cloth, going to his writs and being tied up. He looked like a peasant boy, with leather on him. The odd thing was, his hands were worn and one was burnt, one was frostbite. He wore nothing but a silver necklace, a odd thing that was a silver rock, nothing special.

The wolf was one of the most normal there. He was covered in matted black liquid and red blood. Yet he wore a black plate that was black with silver curls all on it to make it look good, and it did have many scratches on it. His tail also bore a metal plate on it, that matched the one on his body. His chest had one as well, the same color and pattern, but it scaled with a arrow shape, and went down to his stomach. There was a neck plate as well, that laced down to the chest plate, and it went to his snout, giving him a type of crust on his head. He did have two large spikes covering his shoulders and only went down to his elbow, they were large and pointed to his tail, and stopped at his beginning of his tail. This wolf was silver, with black tints on his head and back, and some on his tail. His legs, underbelly and chest were white and his eyes were gold. His wrists are cuffed, and they have large spikes on the back of them. The most noticeable, is the large sword, bigger than the demon boy's, it scales his back and is only held by his neck, it is straight and he twists around and unleashed it, jumping and slashing the air.

Postby 'pyrrhic » Wed Dec 31, 2014 4:55 am

The three had decided the raid was over, and the heads were raised to a new battle... Getting back to the safe house. Raising his head from the ground The demon boy, Alex, went from deep thought to full awareness. "I'm starving... Ari, what's in the cupboard" "Nothing." Ari replied to his deep voice with a pinch of sadness "Dom, can you go fetch some food?" Ari's voice was exhausted as she spoke to the spell caster, her head raising to him. Both Alex and Ari looked up to the older boy to say yes, and they awaited his final answer. "I'll go to town with Kiko, just go ahead and we'll catch up." His voice was deeper than Alex's and the wolf seemed to be happy to get away. Raising his hands, Dom used a teleport spell to disappear into the nearby town. Ari and Alex were left alone.

"Good fight, Eh?" His crimson eyes were full of wariness as he looked at Ari, trying to please her anger. "Don't try." The female scolded, whipping around and putting her hand on his chest plate "Don't you understand that could've got us killed?!" Her voice was snappy as she pushed him to a tree, he let her, wincing at her as she spoke. "We would of been dead, for a dagger!" Her blood covered face was miserable and aching to be washed, making Alex avoid eye contact with the girl who scolded him. "We came in for the Gem, and you wanted a dagger, no magical properties, just a dagger! It wasn't even a good one either! It was broken and ebony, that doesn't make it worth something..." Her voice calmed down, seeing his guilt "Fine." She snatched her hand off him and twisted around again, heading towards the safe house with haste. Yet Alex was stronger than Ari, he didn't like to cross her, no matter how much of a demon he was. The two were commonly presumed as enemies, but in fact they were great friends. Something was very fiery about Ari, she had the gut, strength and attitude of a warrior, and yet, she was weaker than both boys, and the wolf in her company. There were legends of her riding dragons and killing demons, but she never laid a finger on any of her team, and they didn't to her either. Leader was argued between the three, and Kiko often backed off, but mostly, Alex led the party.

Meanwhile in the town, Dom and Kiko pondered on what the four wanted to eat. The wolf, of course, wanted meat and steak. Dom decided on fish or vegetables, and knew Alex wanted meat as well. Ari was difficult to predict, but wasn't greedy and would take anything, she knew how to ration and to take what you get. Gold was easy for the explorers to come by, and they had much for each party member. Kiko bought four strips of meat with his own gold, for him and Alex, while Dom spent his money on fish and greens. They headed out of the place, being called on for Theft and murder. Ignoring the rash statements, Dom and Kiko sauntered out of town with their heads high, holding their food and new potions. As they started to get to the end, a jewelry stand stood out, and showed a small dragon necklace. Dom gulped down and didn't have the money for it "Kiko... I want to get that for Ari." Dom's voice was low as he held the necklace up to observe it. Kiko handed over his gold, and it was just enough. Buying the necklace, he put it in his pocket and started out for the safe house, it wasn't very far from here.

Kiko returned to the two silent figures in the safe house, and he whimpered as he felt how intense the argument was. Dom headed in, throwing food on the table between the two, Alex was fast asleep, and Ari was starring him down with a fiery glare. "You two aren't still feuding about the dagger, are you?" His voice sank down as she gave him a 'watch it' glare. He gulped down his fear and grabbed the wolf by his scruff, "Let's get cooking, Kiko." His voice was a whisper as he flicked Alex in the forehead, waking the demon boy up. Slouching and sauntering over, Alex took off his armor, leaving him with a pheasant wear of an undershirt. "Ari.. I did get you something at the quart yard, but you and Alex must make up before I pass it over..." He said as the girl dropped her head backward and hung it behind the chair, backward. She rolled her eyes and got up, taking off her armor as well, and all she wore was a light felt shirt with a undershirt of a thinner. The demon boy's eyes widened as she hugged him, then pushed him into the wall, walking away and sitting back down "Better?" Her voice was coated in sarcasm, and Alex was still in shock.

Dom laughed lowly at the two, as he prepared their food with haste over a fire. "If you fix Alex." He smirked at the boy, he'd always hated it when she teased him, and touched him in anyway, a poke or nudge annoyed him. This time, he was hunched over, his whole face red and his eyes looking down at the floor. Kiko took his moment, and trotted over, going under and licking his face. Ari, laughing still, went over and used her finger to raise up his chin, giggling. "Relax, that's a hug, I could hug Kiko and Dom.. Its a show of affection." Her laugh was increasing as she looked to Dom and he was cracking up, almost falling over. Alex soon got up and sat down "Well. Don't ever do it again." Alex's face was pale again as he then looked annoyed at her, no amusement. "Food status..." His head went to Dom, and he opened his legs and placed one elbow on each knee, slouching and letting his hands hang in the space bellow. "About... I don't know, look at your steak, I'm cooking both yours and Kiko's over the fire." He seemed to say with a teasing smirk at the demon boy, who was much more muscular and bigger than him, but his smug smirk stayed. Ari put her head down on the table "I have a headache." She looked over her crossed arms up at Alex with a puppy dog look "What do you want me to do?!" He said loudly, shrugging and putting his arms up, and looking around confused. "Deal with it." Alex said with a annoyed glare "Alex." Dom scolded as he looked at him angered by the tone of Alex's voice.

Kiko took his place on the rug next to the fire, taking a nap came quickly. He snuggled to the fur rug, and lied straight up to the warmth counteracting the cold, crisp wind outside the door way. The four lived in a pretty big house, and it could fit about ten comfortably. Made from stiff brick and a hay roof, it was reinforced with much of the cement and sewed hay. In the far north of the house, a hearth lie, with large pots and a very wide fire place. To the east, Alex's room lay, and next to that, was Dom's. The big thing, was the master bedroom belonged to Ari. It could fit a large mountain troll lying on it's back, and she had a large, circular bed, much like a queen in a place.. Yet the most of the room was filled with weapon racks, and supply. White Kiko slept on his rug alone, or with one of the men in the house. Of course, they had many guest rooms for visitors and allies. They had two weaponry rooms and another floor above them, filled with many supplies they could use in various sessions. This house was very large, but couldn't be seen by the naked eye, only a spell. Dom was smart about that, and hid the house and a few acres out behind the house that they used as target practice and training grounds. The house was hidden, and you'd walk into mist if you managed to walk into the house's location.

"I don't even find that relevant!" Ari laughed as she fell onto Alex's chest with a hysterical laugh. All three of our heroes lie on the floor near the fire, Alex lay with his arms under his head, holding his own head up and laying with one knee in the air, and his other leg straight with a sigh, letting Ari lay on his chest for a cushion. Dom sat up, with his legs crossed and Kiko used his knees as something to prop his head up on, as he was warmed by the fire. The demon boy laughed with Ari, and the small girl giggled as Dom showed his happiest smile at the two. Nothing was normal to Dom this night, it may have been the fight, or the necklace.. But something seemed odd. The warlock leaned on the wall behind Alex as the demon boy cracked jokes about demons and monsters to Ari and Kiko. Ari, had her hair perfect as ever in a beautiful braid going down to her center back, as Alex's was tossed and messy. Dom, was happy to see Ari and Alex so happy, but he read spells from his spell book with ease.

They had all had their food, and they were full and happy, as Alex yawned with ease. Something flashed by Dom's eyes, and Kiko was instantly on his paws, snarling at the wall in front of them. "Alex.." Ari and Dom said in sync, both flashed a frightened look at the taller boy as Ari stood up on her feet, her cold bare feet on the wooden planks of the house. All three bore no shoes, and only pheasant wear, of loose cloth shirts, tattered and old with baggy pants of leisure wear. The difference between the three now, was Alex's muscles showing through his see through shirt, and his weary and observant face scanning the room. The warlock was very slim, and had little definition, and now sheltered a odd green flame in both hands. Ari wore a thick white shirt with lace up the sides, and black baggy pants, and the girl picked up a dagger. The running figure flashed across the room once more, and all were on guard.

crackle, pop, pop... Crackle, whoosh. The last they all saw was fire and smoke in the night, all happiness whipped from the atmosphere. The first up was Ari, ash and soot bathed her body and she stumbled around the rubble, trying to find Dom and Alex.. No where to be found. Stumbling and limping, she searched for the things that they had all called theirs. Everything was untouched, and protected by magic shields of gold, mostly magic of a warlock. The girl fell to her knees beside the armor, could she be alone? Whimpering, her ears had heard whimpering. "Kiko!?" Her voice was weak and she gasped for air, coughing up black soot. The wolf was pitiful, and he whimpered, untouched by any ruble, the wolf had ash and black soot covering his body. Though he didn't move from a pile of ruble that was stacked high, but Ari questioned why. Looking at the wolf's saddened expression she realized the horror... Someone was under there.

save the one under the ruble of their cabin? Or is the Nehalem girl and the dire wolf alone without
their beloved allies.

Please vote on the poll, I wont be offended from the last two, but can I ask for a PM to tell me how to improve? This
is my first real story, and I want to improve!

Nehalem tip one;;
Never get attached to anything or anyone. this is exposing
a weakness that your enemy will gladly use. - Superior
Shake Me Down, Cage The Elephant wrote:

Shake me down, Not a lot of people left around,
Who knows now, Softly laying on the ground, oh
Not a lot people left around, oh, oh

In my life, I have seen, People walk into the sea,
Just to find memories, Plagued by constant misery,
Their eyes cast down, Fixed upon the ground,
Their eyes cast down

I'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun

The fire had ceased, and Ari showed no sadness. The girl looked around at the ruble that she'd walked away from, the large wolf still whimpered by it. With large eyes, Kiko looked up at Ari, growling at her and barking, but Ari looked at the ground and ashes with anger, the house was burned to a crisp. "Once a warlock dies, some magic still remains.... Dom had protected every weapon we'd owned, so me and you could use them as we pleased." The girl's eyes sparkled with tears, and Kiko howled gently, nudging the rumble with a huff. The wolf was done waiting, with a grumble, he was digging through the ruble, pulling pieces off quickly. Ari looked at her bloody hands and ran over to the pile, throwing rubble behind her as she felt the blood trickle down her arms. The girl didn't seem to mind, but winced as she felt the cuts open. Soon, a pile of ruble had formed behind them, and nothing was under the rubble. But Ari looked at Kiko, the dog was bleeding and covered in soot and ash, and his defiant eyes kept on the pile, he dug into the ground. Filled with grief, Ari pulled the dog away, she had used the last of her strength, and fell onto the dirt behind her, sitting up, and putting her head in her knees.

The large dire wolf ignored the pain in his paws. The night was dark and he whimpered. The ruble pile they'd dug up hours ago was empty, there was nothing in it, but the wolf seemed to whimper. His large head lifted into the air, and he howled, grief stricken and full of regret. Pacing, pacing of memories filled his brain... But he looked at the other rubble piles, and the weapons. Unsheathing his own weapon, he knew the sword would never break, it was made of the finest material. He held his sword and trotted to the piles, shoveling rubble... Some had nothing under them, and some had household remnants. Soon, he'd dug up every pile that could've housed a injured humanoid. Kiko had given up, and he threw his sword onto the ground. He paced towards Ari, who sat in a tight ball, of her face against her knees, and her braided hair now frizzed. Kiko and Ari's bodies were covered in smoke and ash, and Ari's were torn. The two lie bloody in the night, and Ari hummed a hymn under her breath, while Kiko had a restless night, feeling the girl did as well. They both had no sleep, and the morning light touched them within hours.

"Kiko," The girl said, they were on their way to the village down the road. The two had torn bodies, and they were covered in ash and dust from the night before. Ari's eyes showed nothing but sadness, and Kiko refused to looked anywhere but straight. "Did you ever find that necklace? The one Dom was going to present?" Her voice was weak and gentle, nothing remained but innocence. The wolf growled at her, mostly for bringing up Dom. "I apologize.. It would've been nice to have, you know?" Her eyes then averted back to the path ahead, the dog looked up at her, sadness flooding his eyes, and nodded gently. It was about mid morning, almost noon, when the two arrived. Their heads were down, and their share of gold still remained in their coin purses, all four had one each, and kept it on them in different places. Many showed fear, and many laughed at them. In this world, everyone knew who they were... Often called 'Robbers' or 'highest'. A older man approached the two, and both had recognized him. "Dragonet, got your share of what you deserve? Hmm?" Kiko showed no interest in fighting, and all business stopped, and everyone looked at them. Ari didn't look up, and kept her head down, her long braid swept over her shoulder, tears started to stream down her face as she closed her eyes for a moment. The older man chuckled, hunched over a walking stick. "Make fun, old man." The girl's remark was harsh, and she walked past him, and Kiko pushed him over with a tail flick.

chapter one - XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"I don't find It very funny now..." Ari looked unamused, and villagers mocked her in the rudest ways. "Pathetic." The girl snarled and started for the enchanter's booth in the village. Ari looked normal and faked a smile "Hello Vall." Ari greeted the familiar face. The girl behind the booth gasped, throwing her hand over her mouth. 'Vall' was a enchantress, and a very good one. The tall girl was a inch taller than Ari, and her long black hair was put into a crown braid. Ari had always admired her style, and Dom admired her a little to much. The taller girl always wore skin tight clothes, and bore all purple. Her leather pants were a purple color, and so was her shirt, which stuck to her great form perfectly, spiking out at her hips. The shoulder pads were gentle, at least for Vall. They were ghastly, with continuous purple mist coming from a unknown source. Vall's eyes were a odd black color, with purple centers. Her black boots went to her thighs, and everything on her was certain to have magical properties. Vall was always on their side, and held Dom with spells and charms often. Ari smiled again, putting her eyes to the ground, and her head went to her chest. "Vall, I need your help.. immediately." Ari's voice was a whisper, and Kiko spent his time shuffling the dirt under his paws. "Of course!" Vall seemed to say right after, "Where to..." Her head tilted, and she shot a sympathetic smile. "H-... The house." Ari didn't bother to say 'safehouse', or even her home.

"Is something wrong?" Vall had teleported them a few minutes away from the house, on the road there. Kiko whimpered, and barked gently, while Ari felt her tears. "Whoa, what's wrong?!" Vall threw herself at Ari, hugging her as they walked. Vall was a great friend to all of the group, but liked to hang out with Ari specifically, there was no reason... It was just that Vall had more time for another girl, than a boy who didn't understand her. Vall was hundreds of years old, and knew almost everything, just like Dom and Alex. In truth, Ari was the only mortal one there, excluding Kiko, who would live another three hundred years. Vall tried to make out the mumbled words of Ari, who sobbed on the taller girl's shoulder. "Whoa, whoa... I don't under-" Vall stopped on her words, and clasped her hands over her mouth again. "Ari, stand tall, what happened?!" She put both hands on Ari's shoulders, and nodded at her, making her stand up straight. "Shadow.. Fire.. Rubble.. Gone!" The Nehalem girl sobbed, and whipped her tears with her own hands. Sighing hard, she stood up tall, and rose her chin, and started to walk. Her barefoot touched the dirt gently, and her bleeding hands and feet stung. Vall followed behind her, and Ari lead the two of them to the protected armory. Pointing with a narrow finger, Ari showed the small protected pile of weapons and armor from herself, Dom, Kiko, and Alex. "And I need locator spells." The smaller girl commanded "That needs to be lowered, I need all of that... I need to try to find Dom and Alex, in any state." Dead or alive, she meant... The yearning to find them both didn't cease.

"And I'm guessing..." Vall started "Those weapons and armor are the key to finding them?" Vall said, examining Dom's shield over the weapons "I've gotta say... He's got good at that." Vall chuckled as she stretched her finger out to touch the barrier and was zapped. "Oww.." Vall moaned as she shook out her hand, her long nails were like cat claws, and each claw was hooked like an animal. "I don't know if I can break this..." Vall said, circling the larger barrier and looking down at the weapons and armor "Try.." The demand from Ari's mouth was very strict, and Ari paced around the rubble. Her eye was caught by a silver dragon pendant that lie in the dirt. Falling to her knees, she dug in the dirt till she saw the whole necklace. It was a dragon that arched it's body around into a circle, it was pure silver with a spiked tail and a elaborate scale design. It was about the size of kiwi fruit, and it was circular. It curled around a large collection of small gems. One was a ruby, the other was a sapphire, and in the middle, a pure diamond. "I think I can break it actually, I just need the right spells.." Vall continued to speak, and Ari placed the necklace around her neck, it slid over her head on a small chain link. "That's great." Ari said in a mumble, and she stroked the necklace once. "I need that circlet, and my armor.. At the very least." Ari smiled, newfound confidence as she pointed at her belongings in the barrier dome.

chapter one - post 3XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"and the wind blows over the forsaken forest, never to return." the melodic words dripped from Ari's mouth as they were sang gently and beautiful. She plays with a small piece of burnt grass, brown at the tips but the root was green. In the back of the house she sat, and the yard where swords were remembered beating the dummies on the outskirts of the yard. Kiko lay right beside her, whimpering gently at the memories in the yard, burring his head in his paws. Both sat in the center with a object from before. Ari sat with her legs crossed and her hair blew in the wind as she patted herself off and rubbed Kiko gently. "How Dom said something feels odd, I felt it to... And I feel it again..." Her voice cut through the silence and Kiko's head rose up at Dom's name, and as Ari explained her feelings, Kiko rose to his paws with haste. Ari's Nehalem jewelry and all the rest of her important belongings lie in the dome, she had nothing but the pendant that Dom had left behind. "At my pace.." Her eyes closed, and Ari had used something that the angels had taught her. Only doing it once, a second time was tough. The point of the practice was to locate any evil that lurked around her, bouncing off objects around her, as a Echolocation. Something did appear, and it was going far from her and Kiko, but towards Val.

The warlock sat with her eyes closed, humming a spell under her breath as Ari walked closer. Ari remembered what happened to warlocks when interrupted in a spell, and it happened to Dom often. The Warlock would often be saying their spell, and the distractions and loss of concentration would make a spell backfire, releasing stress and pain into the Warlock's body, and they became very tired. In rare cases, some would collapse or have seizures while in this phase, depending on the spell. The young dragonet quietly rounded the corner of the ruined house as the Warlock came into vision. "V - Vall? There's something here.." Ari knew that Dom was accustomed to the pain that the spells caused him, but she wasn't sure about Vall. When she looked at the Warlock, her eyes were flooded in white, and Ari brushed it off from the fact Vall was casting a spell. The Warlock showed no signs of pain, even though she'd stopped the spell in the process, and nothing had happened. Her eyes went back to the violet color and the black pupils, and the female Warlock smiled. "Young Dragonet... Very good to meet you." The voice was from Vall, the words were elsewhere.

The newfound fear appeared in Ari as Kiko whimpered, his ears flicking back. "Who are you?" Ari demanded with a snarl, her eyes were like daggers to the Warlock's body. Smirking, the demon inside Vall now controlled her, and seemed to be comfortable in the body. The demon made Vall's shoulders roll, and cracked her neck, smiling and sighing "Oh, this is a comfortable host." With a sadistic smile, Vall now seemed to be the new enemy. "I am a messenger from the Overlords, I come to tell you a great burden on your own part.. We have your friends, well, they wont be alive much longer." The demon laughed at it's own words as Ari glared at it, the eyes flicking to white, then it rushed past her with inhuman speed. Even with Ari placing her body out to stop the demon, she was pushed to the ground as the body of Vall kicked Kiko's chest and sent him whimpering to the ground. Ari felt nothing, and the last sight was Vall's boots near her face, and Ari refused to give up on the whimpering wolf.

chapter one - post 4XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Ari groaned, trying to get to her feet, but failed and fell on her hands and knees, coughing. Kiko was no where to be seen as she struggled for air, squinting around the dark area. Her eyesight was blurred and she winced as her side throbbed from Vall's boot tip. She gripped her own side and fell to her side, curled in a small and tucked ball, as if she was getting ready to sleep in her own bed. As soon as she felt the tightness on her waist and stomach, she winced again, a corset laced her body. Ari looked at her body and was astounded to see what she was wearing.

The gothic black dress was a beautiful pattern that she would of wore on her own time. The dress was loose and layered on the bottom, and it went down to her ankles, but from the back, it dragged out like a wedding dress. Laced roses of black and red were laced into the dress, and on her upper body, a corset. The dress was sleeveless, and very flattering to her body and figure. Feeling her neck, she felt a lace choker around her neck, and she looked around, it was so dim, she could barely make out the dress itself. Her necklaces were gone, and her shoes were black flats, the black flats did feel comfortable and were slick and perfect for dancing. As she bit her lip, red lipstick stained her tongue and she felt the lipstick with her fingers, it was red as blood. She felt her hair and was scared to feel long curls with a circlet of metal, bound into her hair. The beautiful piece of jewelry that rounded her head tied with red ribbon on the back. The black circlet housed a red garnet that hung onto her forehead. As flattered and beautiful she looked, a stream of suspicion and fear surrounded her as she saw she looked like she was going to a ball. A source of light was dim as a sort of elegant music peered from the passage.

Her fear didn't stop there, the scary room was very beautiful. The slick floor was a black marble with white streaks randomly through out, and as she looked up, she saw it was a ballroom. No fear showed from Ari's face as she looked around, and all was silent. The room housed beautiful walls, with crownwork so elaborate, she had a headache thinking about making it. Room for a orchestra was housed in the very middle of the room, placed against a wall. The rest of the room was open space, but as Ari looked up, she saw a balcony with three large thrones placed in the center, both gothic, and very eccentric. Somehow, the instruments from the Orchestra floated up as if they were being picked up, and were all placed upward as if being ready to be played. They levitated from the spots they were lied down, and started to play, bows violently moving over the strings, making beautiful and melodic songs in perfect unison. Startled at the self - playing instruments, Ari stepped back, but the passage she'd came from had disappeared.

If she hadn't been kidnapped, she would of enjoyed the ball, but as she looked around, the lights dimed and she heard the music get quieter, and she felt fear and a chill seep into her body. "I do adore this song..." A handsome and hissing voice was heard as Ari tensed up altogether, and she looked at the thrones, where one man stood, sitting in his chair, stroking a skull engraved on the arm rests. Tilting her head and sighing, annoyed at demons, Ari snarled and spat her words. "Demon, what do you want with me?" Ari said harshly, striding forward to the center of the room. The music stopped altogether as she made a fist at her side. Now she got a better view of the man. His eyes were nothing but red, pupiless. He had long claws that curved from his nails, and his smile consisted of nothing but pointed and jagged teeth. He was very tall and bony, but he was much fatter than Alex and Dom. He wore a flattering chain mail shirt with a skull on his chest, and a black cape that was very long. He wore short boots and armored leggings. His hair was long and went down to his neck, black as night. The lights went out, and she heard a howl from afar.
