Name: This plumerian's name is Kanika Bin Aaditya Al Urs. If you couldn't tell, it's an hindu/arabic name. Kanika is her name, Aaditya is her father, and Urs is the family name.
Meaning: Kanika means atom, seed, or gold.
Pronunciation: k-ah-n-ee-k-ah
Nicknames: Kanika, Kan, Kani
Who named her: Her father had named her, he had always desired and loved the name, Kanika. Her mother didn't have anything against the name, and the name had reminded her of her passed grandmother.
Why this name? I chose this name because it was a first name that was hindu with a meaning that meant gold! Gold had been a big pop-out word when I had first saw this plumerian. I got lucky that I had found a first name with the exact meaning.

Sex: Kanika's sex is male.
Gender: Even though Kanika was born as male, she has chosen to be a female. She had been more than overjoyed when she came to this conclusion, and started feeling better about herself ever since.
When did the gender change occur: When Kanika decided to be a trans woman, the thought had been around when she was little. She didn't necessarily know there was such thing, or if people even did it. After looking around on the internet, she found out that her childhood dreams were real. So, around the time Kanika was fifteen.
Why Kanrika decided to: Kanrika decided to because she didn't feel comfortable with her standing as a man. She didn't feel like that sort of thing fitted her, and the constant feeling of dsyphoria was anything but comfortable or needed. Once she explored the internet, she had firmly decided that she no longer wanted to be a man. She had changed into a woman, but often does think about being more genders than that.

Positive traits: Sensitive, Quick-witted, Determined, Quiet, Adjustable, and Enthusiastic.

Overview: Believe it or not, despite Kanika's hard-shell appearance... she is really sensitive. Her feelings are frail, even though her build and tongue say a lot different. She always tries to act like she's tough and that she doesn't feel anything. It makes her feel stronger, but that can't stop the comments or insults that get to her. Even if it's a little talk that is accidentally rude, such as 'Wow, you look pretty today!'. Kanika automatically thinks that she looked ugly yesterday or on a daily basis. Kanika doesn't mention that she's hurt by those sort of things, but afterwards when she's alone... she definitely reflects on it and feels utter sorrow about said time.

This plumerian is actually quite intelligent. Maybe not morally, but academically she is someone you would want to ask to be your tutor. While she has never felt a personal interest towards academics or school, her parents had a large, positive feelings towards it. Her parents constantly encouraged her and pestered her about her schoolwork and studying. And they were always talking about her getting into a good college, which Kanika despised. She'd rather be dumb than be as smart. She hated all the awards she got and compliments she had gotten for her grades and academic achievements. No matter how much she tried, she felt like she was wasting her time doing all of that work.

The girl is determined to get exactly what she desires. Even if the odds are against her, she had lost all confidence in herself, the planet around her, and all the people surrounding her... she still manages to go on. She doesn't know why or how, that she just has a feeling in her gut that tells her that she has to maintain her actions and perseverance. It's quite a amazing feat. This is truly is a trait in Kanika that will never die down, no matter how much you push at her.

Not only that, but this Kanika is..... not very sociable. She's often seen alone, reading or searching; just watching other people do things. It's not unusual to see her walking around the city aimlessly with her bat tight in her hand. She is often stopped by police or confused citizens, since carrying around a blood-stained bat is bound to cause negative attention. In other words, it's very rare she talks or is seen with another person. To be honest, her appearance is rather intimidating to people, so that makes it hard enough for people to approach her.

Even though her conditions that she lives in are horrible, the plumerian is very adjustable. She goes to new places; from wealthy mansions to shabby huts, from large cities to rural towns, etc. Most people would complain about their new surroundings and usually do anything they could do to refrain from changing their normal, daily lives. Kanika is the exact opposite. She doesn't mind nor love new places or things, she merely just deals with them.

Last of all, the girl wields a large scale of enthusiasm! When you give her a activity, especially competitive or you tell her that you believe that she can do it very well, chances are that she'll succeed with flying colors. Kanika is the type of girl to respond better to positive energy, even though she can be considered quite pessimistic to others.

Negative traits: Selfish, Stubborn, Jumps to conclusions, Superficial, and Poor Decisions.

Overview: Kanika is definitely what people would address as a selfish person. Since she came from a family with herself as the oldest to little children, it was a big change. She was so used to being the selfish only child, and then her new siblings had appeared out of nowhere! She didn't hate her baby siblings, it didn't really bother her. Just no matter how much she tried, she couldn't turn away to the trait of selfishness. While their are times that Kanika is giving, and just hands out things to random people... but those are a once-in-a-year sort of thing.

This plumerian has the stubborn attitude of a mule! You can't get her to listen to you at all when she sets her mind on something. It doesn't matter how much your idea has of reasoning, she probably won't clean her ears to listen. Kanika believes strongly in her 'gut' and her mind. I wouldn't go as far to say that she relies on it, because it's really only 50/50(sometimes she thinks her actions through, sometimes she doesn't). Kanika also has a problem with trusting other plumerians, as she thinks they will just lead her to trouble. So, she mainly relies on herself and where ever her thoughts take her.

This girl has a knack for jumping to conclusions without any evidence. While others may just poise her as crazy and that she really doesn't know what she's talking about, but she can base a whole new idea from a little scrap of evidence. While this can be used to her advantage, she doesn't use it very often. She notices things other don't, so she just stays quiet. It's better to be looked as a quiet person that someone who just randomly goes on nonsensical tangents.

Kanika is what others would describe as no other, as superficial. She judges people very much on their appearance, actions, and did I mention, appearance? If you act goofy and purposely say something stupid.. Kanika is probably going to lower her standards for you and treat you like you ARE dumb. It wouldn't be a very good idea to brag about anything around her, because if that information turns out to be false.. she's going to bring it up forever.

Last of all, Kanika has a poor time making decisions on her own. Especially under a short time period. She goes under extreme stress and pressure and can't decide on things clearly. In the end, she can make a very very bad decision because she just randomly picks a route without thinking.

You’re not even sure why you kept the thrice damned thing. It was innocent, it really did seem so. No blood stains- not anymore, the little voice in the back of your head says, they’re gone, just like them- barely any way to tell that this bat, this children’s toy was a murder weapon.

Why had you kept it? More than that, why on earth had you been allowed to keep it. I mean, come on. What sort of cop gives a grieving teenager, barely old enough to not be called a child anymore, the thing that killed her parents.

Either a really dumb one, or one that honestly didn’t give a crap about your mental well-being. Although, let’s be honest, he might’ve thought it’d give you closure. Maybe he thought you’d burn it, or smash it like it smashed-

No. You’re not going there.

Let’s think about… Something happy. Think about them warm and full of life and not cold and stiff and just lying there and relatives saying that it looks like they’re just sleeping and isn’t it just horrible that they had to go and get themselves killed with Kani still so young and someone should take her in- what, me? Oh, no, I simply couldn’t and-

No.

Think about how Dad always used to play with you in the yard, how you’d go to the park on a warm spring day and fly kites and how he’d always tell you that a strong wind, a strong wind could fill you up and take you anywhere.

Or how you and Mom would go out together, not even with a plan in wind, and you’d come home with a new toy or trinket and a belly full of ice cream or cookies or soft pretzels (you love soft pretzels) and a mind buzzing with all that you’d seen that day, and all the things you want to do in the future.

It’s all you can do to not let a sound somewhere between a laugh and a sob escape your lips. Future.

Now isn’t that a depressing thought.

You grip the bat a little tighter, and a little idea comes to you. Intrusive as the thought is, as little as you like to consider that this is what you’ve allowed yourself to come to, this is the truth.

You have it in case they come back. You have it in order to protect yourself.

You have it because as much as you wish your parents were still alive, you’re not ready to join them.

______Kanika had lived a normal life. She had spent most of her life in a large family in a relatively hindu-ruled town. Her parents had always earned enough money to put more than just food on the table.
______Being the spoiled girl she was... she was never satisfied with anything. When she wanted something, she wanted it then and now. Her parents didn't have the heart to discourage or tell her now, so they usually just continued to feed this awful part of her. Even though, they really should have started getting more and more harsh on her, since she wasn't a entirely good example to her younger siblings.
______Not to mention, she wasn't all that kind to them either. She wouldn't spare them a moment of her attention, and if they tried to play with her, she would brush them off and call them 'annoying, bothersome', without a second thought. Of course, she did love her siblings and the few times she shared with them, but she had never took the time to appreciate it.
______Everything had truly begun when Kanika's family had decided to take a family vacation to Fukui, Fukui, Japan. It was supposed to be only her parent's vacation, but they couldn't find anybody to leave their children with. Everybody was excited for said vacation, except Kanika.
______ The girl was never a big fan of change, and didn't even like the idea of being seperated from her hometown just to see new sights. Her stubborn self didn't even want to think of the possibility of herself leaving her home for a solid hour. She had too much of a great attachment.
______As the week passed by in Fukui, Kanika slowly started to have a small love for the small town. she enjoyed the sights and the kind people, it had vaguely reminded her of her home. It was a sort of town she wouldn't mind staying in for another week or so... Her parents had a idea that they should spend more time than that. Kanika's father had been offered a job opportunity there, that would have been twice the wages of his previous job. Devastated by the sudden news, Kanika had thrown a tantrum before quickly running out of the vacation house in late evening.
______Kanika had disappeared into the town for over two hours, to get out her fury. If, if she had worried her parents enough, they wouldn't ever think about doing something like this again. Once she would come back home, they would welcome her back and tell her that they had changed their minds. They would never speak about the job again, finish the vacation here, and go back home like nothing had ever happened. Kanika returned home, without a worry in her mind.
______That was, until when she had arrived, she was greeted with police cars and police crime scene duct tape surrounding her home. In just that time that the girl had disappeared, her whole family was murdered. The only thing left behind was a metal bat, with a smiley face sitting on the tip... covered in their blood.
______To this day, Kanika is still traumatized by this event. She lives in the home that her family had rented before they died, and goes to school as if the incident had never happened. The girl stays in the town, with the metal bat in her hand. Her selfishness gone, a new idea appeared upon her. If the police couldn't find her murderer, she would herself.
