Roll says... 10: South.
"Maybe we should head south," you suggest. "There's a guarantee of prey there."
"Prey that you MillClan cats can catch," says Hazelnose. "Not all of us are familiar with hunting through the underbrush."
"It's not our fault you're used to sprinting after your prey," Darkpelt says blithely. "We at least have a named hunter with us."
"And a named medicine cat," adds Mudstream darkly.
"That...that couldn't be helped," says Sorrelstripe, unsteadily.
"You never did tell me about that situation," says Heatherheart, glancing at you. "And I didn't get a chance to ask Rainwhisker."
"We don't-" starts Sorrelstripe.
"We have several things to discuss," the pale ginger continues. "We'll head for the woods for now, to gather ourselves, and to get all information out that we need."
"You're not the leader," grumbles Mudstream. "You shouldn't just decide for us."
"We'll discuss that too." She glances both ways before trotting across the street, the rest of you in tow. It's about thirty minutes until you reach the trees. No one speaks.
When you finally enter the woods - a pleasant poplar forest with a small pool of water - everyone takes a minute to rest and drink. You check on the injured again before Heatherheart calls you all together.
She waits until everyone is comfortable until she speaks. "Last night, we met together, in a party that was supposed to be of four per Clan. However, when Rainwhisker and his group showed up, they had two extra cats. Not long after, when we were attacked, the scent of our attackers was the smell of MillClan." She turns her head and gazes steadily at Rainwhisker, who looks uncomfortable. "You mentioned that there had been a 'situation' that occurred, with the result being that you brought more cats than you should have because you couldn't afford to leave them. For the sake of transparency, and for trust between us, you're asked to say what happened, and why your Clan specifically attacked us."
All six of you and your Clanmates glance at each other uneasily. You stay quiet as Rainwhisker stands up and clears his throat.
"Originally, our group was myself, Dawnleaf, Sorrelstripe, and Dipperpaw," he begins. "We had decided that we couldn't afford to let anyone else join us. However, somehow, Elmflower found out and asked to come with us."
Elmflower looks suddenly grieved and hangs her head.
"She wanted to bring her family with us, to escape the war," Rainwhisker goes on, though more softly. "And, well, you know how I am, and Sorrelstripe insisted on at least getting her to a safe location away from the Clans. But, on the night we were supposed to leave..."
He halts here, shifting his feet and looking around. This isn't going to be easy.
Continue for him.
Wait for him to speak.
