The Parrapup kept her gaze focused on the sky, watching as clouds finally hid that big ball of fire
the humans called a 'sun'. A puff of air escaped her nostrils, silently thanking the gods above for
shielding her from the heat. Kisa, which is the Parrapups name, lived a very lonely life in the plains
of Africa. Nothing was around to keep her company, other than the circling vultures above.

Today was a particularly hot day, and Kisa's pelt was burning. It was drought season, and the Parra
hadn't managed to find many water sources. Either it was guarded by a group of angry animals, or
the ground was completely dry with no water to salvage.

Kisa eventually got to her paws, muscles rippling under her fur with every movement she made. It
couldn't hurt to go searching for water once more, seeing as she was beginning to get dehydrated.
In one swift jump the short-furred creature was down on the ground instead of resting up on her
rock. The rock had been her salvation the last few days, seeing as it provided shade with the tree
growing behind it and it allowed her a height advantage over intruders.

Her paws glided over the tan-coloured grass, brushing it aside and making a path for herself. She
had headed north this time around, never having explored this area yet. It was her best bet at the
moment, seeing as she had already explored all the other areas around her rock.

After awhile of trekking through long grass and sunny patches, Kisa actually came across a fairly
large watering-hole. A rare smile reached her beak, and the Parra hurried down to the waterside.
Kisa lapped up the substance in large doses, drinking as if it was the last water she would have
in a while. Yet, it probably would be.

A sound reached her attention, and Kisa drew back from the watering-hole. With curious eyes she
watched a human scoop some water in a container. She hadn't seen many humans before, aside
from the ones that lived in the tribes here.

Kisa soon discovered that another Parrapup was accompanying this human, albeit he was quite
the annoying one. They were staying in Africa for a few days, and would often come back to
the watering-hole. Kisa ended up making an odd friendship with them, despite being the very
isolated Parra she was. The two ended up saving her from the loneliness that was slowly
creeping up behind her.
