The second arc is now complete! We'll be getting to the third arc within the hour.

Now, this segment of the story marks the place where the narrative may begin to be...shall we say...misleading. Choices may not always mean what you think they mean, or have effects that are difficult to predict. Nothing will be presented as a bold-faced lie, of course, but I figure I might as well be fair and warn you to put some care and thought into choices as we progress.

Guys, let's think this through...

If we go down to the stream, then an escapee crocodile could eat Thimble and injure us.

But if we don't, then we could be hit by a stray meteor...

The croc couldn't be that big, it's a stream.
Everyone knows that the real whoppers live in the sewers.
Maybe going down to the stream will start a chain reaction that will get Charlie eaten by a crocodile.

That -BEAST-" * her voice cracks in fear at the last word, a hand rising to shield her eyes to block anyone's view of the tears now streaming down them* She took everything that was dear to me away... W-what makes you think she will stop now? Your revolting ships or your cute ones, they won't matter anymore...nothing will anymore... I never though I would have to go through this again... One time was enough and it broke my spirit... Took me years to gather the fragments to reassemble it... And now it's quaking in fear just at her distance.... It will break once more... And this time...I don't think I will be about to stitch it back together..." * the cigar drops from her hand, the ash from it littering the ground by her feet before the hand previously holding it lifted to her mouth to muffle the now ragged sobs coming from her parted lips*
