But I have had some bad experiences with rps, one warrior rp I was on a loooooong time ago this cat(the leader) and mine were getting closer and he asked her to be the mate then the person who played the deputy like went to the frozen river to kill herself because he didn't choose her. I did my best to ignore it and rp around it but it was getting way out of hand, like she stole my cats kits and I was like *I'm out* lol

Oh boy. Did they even mention that the deputy wanted to be with the leader? Is that even allowed?

I can't help but hate those characters...
And by those characters are the drama queen/king characters -shudders-

Not that I was, then they had her quit being deputy because 'the only reason she became deputy was because she wanted to be with him' I shuddered x)

That is the absolute worst character combination in the universe that anyone can make
First we find out that they are a drama queen and then that they just wanted to be a deputy just to be together with someone... -shudders violently-

Why didn't they just, I don't know, be a normal cat and interact with the leader?

I think they thought that they needed to have power to have someone with power fall in love with them {like kings and queens could only[and I think they still can only] marry future kings and queens}

I do prefer the king/queen in love with a peasant cliche because it usually causes quite a bit of drama
Meaning that if she was a warrior and she fell in love with the leader{or vice versa} then there would be a bit of drama and drama is one of the best things you can have in a roleplay unless you use too much...because drama is like a hot pepper extract,a tiny drop makes a big difference.

I think they can marry commonfolk nowadays (unless Ms. Ex-Middleton was a duchess before she met the Prince).

The dynamic would be pretty radically different, I'd think! A leader isn't much more special than a normal warrior - they're just someone who has the qualities to lead a Clan. They still go out and hunt just like everyone else. In fact, I'd be more bemused if a leader had their deputy as a mate rather than a normal cat.

Anyway~ So far, I'm quite fond of the direction the new CYOA is taking, it's definitely incredibly interesting. X3
