[Xura]

Hey diary! Sorry this took so long, let me catch you up quick on what happened. So we got Matthew and Jake and we were about to walk into this huge lava covered part that had jagged rocks and things that could easily kill us all when someone came skipping along the lava trailed path. We all looked over and saw another Cassie!

Cassie: Hey! Look it's me!
Amy: oh great. Now there's two of them! *groans*
Cassie: What's that supposed to mean?
Cassie turned and gave Amy a fierce glare.
Matt: Is she the one we're looking for?
Then I said that dumb character line that everyone hates and at least one person says.
Me: let's go ask.
we saw her skip into a really big meadow with lots of flowers and potatoes. I think the potatoes are just a Cassie thing but the place was weird. It looked like some kind of story... I just can't seem to place my paw on it.
Cassie: Hey! Me! Over here! Come this way.
The other Cassie stopped for a second and skipped over toward us.
Cassie: the skipping thing has to stop.
For the sake of everyone reading this, I'm going to call the other Cassie "clone".
Clone: Follow the yellow chip road!
Everyone: ?
Cassie: OMIPOTATOES! There's a road made out of chips?
Me: Okay... Clone... Are you the jellybean we're looking for?
Clone nodded.
Clone: Follow the yellow chip road!
Clone stood there looking at us and then back at the road.
Jake: I think your clone is really creepy.
Cassie shoved a potato in his mouth.
Cassie: don't offend her. And she's only sort-of my clone. Isn't that right, clone?
Clone: follow the yellow chip road!
So we walked into the other peice of land with Cassie, Amy, Clone, Matthew, Jake and I. Wow this is turning into a crowd. We went into a peice of land that was covered in snow. It had mountains everywhere and strongly resembled Russia.
Cassie: I'm cold.
I poofed up jackets for all of us.
Me: Better?
Cassie: Yeah. This reminds me of the time when I met you and we got in a jet and we were-
Me: Wait wait... I have a jet?
Cassie: No your parents own it.
Me: My parents are rich?
Cassie: I thought you were supposed to remember everything.
Matt: I don't think clone said the word.
Amy: I think it's funny that her double isn't so bright.
Cassie: Watch it *sharp look*
Cassie pulled out a potato gun.
Cass: Don't make fun of Clone. -.-
Clone: Follow the yellow chip road!
Jake: maybe it's a secret language.
Matt: Or she could be a fake.
Me: Isn't the answer obvious?! Maybe she's trying to tell us to follow the yellow chip road!
Clone: follow the yellow chip road!
Amy: if you ask me I think that clone is just not smart
Cassie: your the most pessimistic dog I know.
Amy shrugged.
Me: how about we follow her?
Clone: Follow the yellow chip road!
We followed clone to a road that looked delicious.
Jake: I want some chips. He reached down and picked up a chip.
Clone seemed to shake her head and try to stop him but it was too late. He ate the chip and a bunch of green smoke rose out of it.
Matthew: Ew. What did you just eat?
Jake: Follow the yellow chip road!
Matt: What?
Jake looked like he wanted to say something else but all he could say was that one short phrase.
Me: Oh... I get it. If you eat any of the Chips from this road then your cursed to speak only that one sentence because of the weird thing this place is under.
Cassie: and that's probably why Clone can't say the phrase to help you remember friendship.
Clone nodded and pulled out a peice of paper with an herb on it. she pointed to a mountain that the yellow chip road led to and looked at us.
Cassie: Is that the remedy? At the top of the mountain?
Clone nodded and pulled out another sheet of paper with a picture of Amy on it and pointed to the same place.
Cassie: and other Amy is there too?
Clone nodded and smiled, knowing that we had cracked her weird code.
So anyway... Let's just say it was a REALLY long journey until we finally got half way up the mountain. And I started forgetting things as I climbed. Cassie went up next to me as we climbed
Me: Hey. Do you think I'll ever remember my past again?
Cassie: of course you will. You know we always come through in our diary parodies.
Me: Yeah but I just feel like this is dragging on and nothing is happening.
I sighed. I'm very negative I just realized.
Cassie: Come on. You have to stay strong. We have to beat Sally, Heather, and Emma. We have to stay strong and just fight the battle while we are here.
Me: Whose Heather?
Cassie: You should remember her...
Me: Nope. I have a faint memory of a few dogs and names but not the name Heather.
Cassie: Oh well. This is just drama. It's a phase that the authors put us through. We'll just end up winning.
Me: Your not very good at keeping secrets are you?
Cassie: Pfft what does that have to do with this?
Me: Do you spoil movies for people?
We reached the top of the mountain. The other amy sat there on a rock.
Cassie: *coughs* look whose double's creepy now.
She shot a look at Amy, and as soon as she caught her eyes, a big boat-like smile curved into her face. She looked very smug, tantalizing Amy and relishing in her private revenge.
The other Amy stood up (we'll call her Kiera)
Keira: Nutella!
All the memories of being a spy hit me like a smack in the face... With a potato. Sorry, I've been hanging out with Cassie too much I guess. Eh... who am I kidding? You can never get enough of Cassie.
Cassie: How come she gets the cool name and my double is just "clone"?
She put her paws on her hips and soon her copy did the same.
Clone: follow the yellow chip road!
Kiera took a plant from the ground and picked off the berries from a long branch it had. She gave it to Clone and Jake.
Jake: it feels so good to talk again!
Clone: Your telling me. Nutella!
All the memories hit me like a bomb. There was a sudden tremor and the ground started to split. Green smoking flames made thorns rise out of the ground.
Cassie: RUN!!!!!!
Jake turned and slipped causing Clone, Matt, and Amy to fall down the mountain into a log that shot them straight down.
Amy called out to us but her voice could barely be heard above the ground's roar as it ripped like paper. Cassie, Keira, and I were the only ones left at the top.
Cassie: What's happening?!
Keira looked frantic.
Keira: The mountain and all the lands are resetting back to their original state because Real Xura, Jake, Matt, Clone, and I were brought together at one time. The curse is broken.
It didn't seem right. Why were there thorns coming out of the ground and why weren't they all back in their real bodies? If the curse was lifted then there should've been no problem.
Me: I don't think it is.
Cassie: What do you mean?
Me: The land is resetting but the curse isn't gone. It may have lifted from the land but we're still missing something.
Kiera: Where's dream Xura by the way?
Me: We heard she was captured.
We heard a huge shake- an avalanche was starting!!!
Kiera: The curse cannot be broken without her!
Me: before we could get you we were told to have everyone with us so we could find Xura.
Kiera: That's true but if you've forgotten, you've sort of got the last jellybean on a mountain Which is now COLLAPSING!
Me: Well it's not my fault that you chose a freezing mountain opposed to a bed of soft cuddy flowers and rainbows!
Cassie found an old log and split it into two snowboards. She threw one to Keira.
Cassie: There's a log by you, Xura! Try and make a snowboard.
Cassie and Keira would've waited but the Avalanche had come and they had to ride it down the hill. I tried to pull the log off but it wouldn't budge.
Me: Potatoes to this.
I poofed up a professional snowboard. As soon as I got on, I felt something grab me by the leg. I looked down and saw a huge plant with tons of thorns wrap around me! I tried pulling away but my efforts were futile compared to the strength of the plant. I screamed as it pulled me down into the deep abyss below. Now, I could only hope that Cassie would complete the mission and save me. Everything went black.
I opened my eyes wearily. I had no idea where I was. Someone seemed to be hovering over me. As all the bluriness began to fade I could make out the shape of a cave. I sat up and blinked.
???: Why are you here?
I looked over and saw me. Dream Xura.
Me: I was grabbed by a plant. Where are we?
We shall call the other me "Zana"
Zana: We're in the twilight zone of your brain. Scarlet Lake.
Me: Scarlet lake? How do we get out?
Zana: We don't. Someone from the real world would have to swim down here, find the key at the bottom, and unlock the door to saving us.
Me: Can't we just poof something up?
Zana: No dream world stuff doesn't work here.
Me: is there any food?
She picked up a crusted brownie.
Zana: Not edible. I don't suppose you brought anyone here that could save us?
Me: I brought a few people. I just hope they can find us.
I looked up and paused like how some of those intense TV episodes do when they're stuck at a cliffhanger and are hoping the heros will come.
Zana: What are you doing?
I shrugged and took the brownie.
Me: Green stuff won't come out of this, right?
Zana: No its fresh. I mind poofed it before I got in here.
I took a bite.
Me: Crunchy.
Zane: Ew.
I shrugged.
Me: I'm hungry
Though stale, the brownie had delicious flavor. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. I yawned. What I would've given to take a nap right then and there!
Me: What would happen if I slept?
Zara: You'd return to the real world, but your memories wouldn't come with you unless you've fully broken the curse.
Me: Is the curse some kind of poison?
Zana: Yes. And it can completely alter the dreamworld if it was to linger.
Me: wouldn't that be altering my hopes, dreams, and fears? Are you saying I'd become a completely different person?
She nodded. I thought about it for a while.
Me: If I wake up... Will my friends wake up too?
Zana gave a little and unsteady nod.
Zana: It's not a smart move though.
I was tempted. I knew Cassie and Amy were reliable but... What if they failed? What if they died here...? The thought sent shivers down my spine. No. I know they can do this. I'll just have to trust them.
Me: Do you have any more of those brownies?

[Xura]

I'm sitting in the cave right now and it's pretty boring. I just saw a jellyfish swim by doing noodle tentacles but that's pretty much it.
Me: ZANAAAAAAAAAAA......... Is there anything to do here?!
Zana threw a book at my face.
Zana: Read that.
I flipped through the book.
Me: ZANAAAAAAAAAAA........
Zana: What?
Me: There's no pictures in here!
She threw a book with pictures at me.
Zana: Read that.
Me: ZANAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Zana: What?!
Me: I can't.
Zana: Why not?
Me: Because this picture book doesn't have words.
She looked like she was about to rip her hair out. I looked under a log in front of me.
Me: Check it out! There's a game of banana grams under here!
Zana groaned and sat up. Somehow I think she knew that I wanted to play the game with her. We poured out the bananagrams.

Me: So why is dream me so different from the real me?
Zana: I'm actually an exact copy of you.
Me: Well... You're a bit off. I expected playing banana grams with myself would be fun.
Zana: I suppose I'm the you without your memories.
She spelled "This is boring" in banana grams. I spelled "your boring" back.
Me: Well I'm pretty grumpy without memories. And if you were really me then you would've given me a picture book with words the first time I asked.
She rolled her eyes and spelled "rightttttt".... I took my banana grams and spelled "oh it's on sister" she spelled back "bring it" so we had a banana gram argument that probably passed away most of the time. But as we argued, I noticed that something in her behavior changed. She started to act more like the real me and soon I could she was the real me. Eventually, we had worn ourselves out with all the lame jokes and comebacks we had used against each other. Soon we put the banana Grams away and looked under the log again. I stuck my paws under the log and blindly searched around. I picked up a really old dusty book. I cleaned it off and looked at it.

Me: What's this?
Zana: I don't think you should open that.
She tried to grab it and I turned away, surprised.
Me: Why?
Zana: Because it's the memories you don't remember
Me: Why wouldn't I want to know that? Wouldn't I want to remember good memories I had with my fake parents when I was really little?
Zana: It's a little more than that.
She looked concerned.
Zana: I'm surprised that's in here. Though I do suppose I told Jake to hide it somewhere. I guess he threw in the lake.
Me: What's in here that you don't want me to know about?
Zana: ... The chip in your brain. The memories you never saw but your body recorded. The things you did but didn't know about.
Me: ... And what did I do exactly?
She paused.
Zana: Don't look in the book.
She tried to steal it again and the ground suddenly shook. The book fell out of my hands and slid across the floor. We made a dive for it at the same time and then suddenly the room tilted to the left. The book stayed in place while we slid away from it. I tried to get to my feet but the ground shook again.
Me: What's going on?!
Little did I know that someone (*cough* Cassie) had disturbed a sea monster underneath us and was throwing us all around. Zana didn't even respond, her focus was to get the book. The suspense was horrible. I wanted more than anything to get in that book. What had I done that was so secret even to me? The ground shook and twisted. Zana slid to the right of the room but I held onto a rock. The book was jammed underneath a log in the middle of the floor. I carefully angled myself to slide down right in front of it. I grabbed it and sat up.
Zana: Don't do it Xura. You don't know. You don't want to know what will be in that book. Something far beyond disturbing. You'll never get it out of your head. Once it's opened, you'll never go back to who you were.
I looked at the cover of the book and paused.
Me: Okay.
I threw the book behind me.
Suddenly, I saw Cassie knocking on the glass of the cave with a key in hand. She unlocked the door and water burst in. We swam to the surface, leaving the book behind in the depths of the scarlet lake. We reached the surface with a gasp.
Me: What was going on?
I looked at Cassie, expecting a good answer. Cassie opened her mouth like she was going to say something, then closed it. Then she opened her mouth again and closed it again.
Cassie: I have no idea.
I rolled my eyes. We swam out of the lake and reached the shore. I wiped the sand off me and we went to the center of the land, in front of the castle.
Cassie: What now?
Zana: Now...
There was a really awkward dramatic pause
Zana: We save Xura's brain.
Cassie: Excuse me, but haven't we been doing that the whole time you were locked up at the bottom of that dumb lake??? What's the point of this anyway? When do we get home?! I want to get back to writing MY parody! I have a potato that really wants to get back to my crazy life.
Me: Sorry, Cass.
Amy: This is, admittedly, getting pretty boring. Can we get on with it?
Zana: You don't even want a dramatic ending?
Me: Not really.
Zana rolled her eyes and huffed.
Zana: Fineeeeeee....

We all went into the castle and went to the back of it. There were 6 floor positions. They all curved around a huge door. Clone, Keira, Zana, Matthew, and Jake stood on the spaces. Zana signaled that I should do the same. I walked over to the last space and the door began to open. A huge purple wave released from the door, blowing our hair back and returning everything back to normal... or at least how it used to be.
Cassie: Okay... So how do we get back?
Matthew: You don't.
Cassie: WHAT?!
Matthew: You have to stay here forever!
Cassie: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Zana rolled her eyes.
Zana: He's joking.
Cassie: I knew that.
Zana: Close your eyes and think of the place you were before you came here.
We all closed our eyes.
Me: It's not working...
I opened my eyes and I was back in the plane. I pulled the tranquilizer dart out of my neck.
Me: Ughhh...
I stretched my arms.
Me: Dreamworld? That was a nightmare!
I saw Cassie and Amy waking up too.
Amy: I can't argue with that.
I took all the weird plugs and stuff off me.
Me: Thanks, guys.
They nodded wearily and I heard Cassie's bodyguards rounding the corner. Spiro, Zara, and Kanji entered the room.
Cassie: How long were we gone?
I know what she meant, it had felt like days in my head.
Kanji: Gone, where did you go? You were asleep for exactly 37 minutes, 17. 65 seconds, and 3.801 milliseconds. We still have about an hour until we reach Egypt.
Me: That's reallyyy stalkerish that you know that.
Cassie: You get used to it.
Me: Really?
Cassie: Nope. So do we just go back to our lives now?
Me: I guess...
It was weird.
Cassie: I missed my life. Those 37 minutes, 17.65 seconds, and 3.801 milliseconds really tired me out! I'm so glad things are back to normal.

Zara: While you guys have been taking a nap, we were fighting off enemy planes. We have to get Cassie a new disguise. Again.
Cassie: UGHHHH guysss! Didn't you JUST do this makeover?!
Zara: This one is just for when we're in Egypt. Come on, let's goooo!
It hit me hard then. ...life was just going to go back... Cassie seemed fine...
Cassie: Noooooooooooo NEVAHHHH
I watched her, being dragged out of the room. I felt something... Something too deep for a character to feel in a parody, yet I felt it anyway. Depression? No... Sorrow? I should but I don't.. Anger. That's it, frustration. My boyfriend might be in love with another girl, my best friend is too important now for me to hang out with, and I would have to spend the rest of my life fearing about what will be around the corner. I curled my paw into a fist. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair because I couldn't do anything about it.
I saw someone running down the halls of the plane, she looked like Cassie with long hair.
I smiled a little. Cassie would always be Cassie, no matter what. I followed her into a room of the jet.
Zara: Oh... Cassie! You look, nice...
Cassie: Please explain to me why I look like a brunette Rapunzel?!
Zara: You know that thing, that hit you on the head?
Cassie: Yeah... What about it?
Zara: It might have been the hair growth formula bottle...Dumped completely on your head.
Cassie: OMIPOTATOCHIPS what?! My hair is INSANELY long! It reaches the floor and trails behind me!
Me: I think it looks good.
Zara: Yeah It's a good look for you
Cassie: UGHHHHH When are we getting off this bloody plane?!

Kanji: We're here!
Cassie: Great.
I sighed. What's next? I walked off of the plane, with my paws in my pockets. I should probably change later. I am, after all, I am a spy.

Me: Hey Cass! Wait up!
Cassie: Hey. It feels so good in Egypt! Except for trying to clean sand out of my eyes every five seconds.
Me: That's why you wear sunglasses. *hands sunglasses*
Cassie: Hey, did you magically poof this up?
Me: -_-
My brain was already terrible enough, and here Cassie was reminding me.
Cassie: Too soon?

Spiro: Hey, come on, we have to get going.
We walked to this giant pyramid thingy where a bunch of tourists were around.
Cassie: By the way, Xura, why are you here at Egypt?
Me: Well... Uhh... I guess I just came along for the ride. I mean, after all of that Dreamland drama, it's nice to go on a summer vacation to Egypt!
I would tell Cassie later.
Cassie: Summer? It's like Fall.
Me: *ignores* It's so cool here! So, where we going?
Kanji: We should be going into that pyramid over there.
So we all just kind of squeezed inside and looked around. There were a bunch of tourists there, and lots of intricate designs on the walls.

Cassie: Ooh, this place is pretty.
Me: What are we doing here though?
Spiro: That is confidential information, and I do not feel comfortable spreading that info with a possible enemy.
Cassie: She's not an enemy, she's a friend! Ow, ow, ow owowowowowoowoow!!!!
Somebody was stepping on Cassie's hair, and the others didn't seem to notice. Cassie yanked it from under their paw, and they stumbled a bit before giving her an evil eye.

Cassie: As I was saying, she's my friend, and I trust her. She also saved me.
Spiro: >.> Okay...
Kanji: We're going to the Queen's Chamber. It has some important info, and we have to get there as soon as possible. Unluckily, none of our forces have managed to find it yet. So, we are going to have to find it ourselves.
Spiro: This should be simple enough! I mean, we're just looking for a room.
Oh how he could be more wrong...

Cassandra pulled a hidden panel... but it was full of snakes.
Cassie: OMIPOTATOCHIPS SNAKESS

Xura heard an eerie sound echoing through the corridor - Is this pyramid haunted?!
Me: O.O This is getting creepy...

Spiro found a curious hieroglyphic... but it pointed to him to a blank piece of wall.
Spiro: Wow. What a useless hieroglyphic...

Zara stuck some lit dynamite in a hole... but the fuse went dead. Probably just as well.
Zara: Great...

Kanji found a note between two stones... it said, 'Try again later! ". Why would someone leave a note like that?!
Kanji: :T

* * * 3 Hours Later * * *

Cassandra stuck a screwdriver in a notch in the stones... and it revealed a hidden button!Cassie: Now we're getting somewhere! *pushes button* *snakes drop down from the ceiling*

An ankh hung on the wall and seemed to point Xura in the right direction.
Me: I really hope this isn't a booby-trap like in Indiana Jones...

Spiro stood on a box to reach the ceiling... and there seemed to be a hidden switch there!
Spiro: I am very confused as to where I got this box...

Zara opened a door and stepped inside. The floor became a ramp and she slid to a new tunnel!
Zara: Yay! A completely new tunnel so I have absolutely no idea where I am again! /sarcasm/

Kanji found some faint hieroglyphics that had nearly worn away - Is that the symbol for 'door' at the bottom?
Kanji: How the Potato Chip should I know if that says door?


Cassie: We, we made it! The Queen's Chamber!
Me: That was exhausting! I got freaked out so many times.
Spiro: I know right! This Queen better be worth it.
???: Oh I hope I am.

Cassie: OMIPOTATOCHIPS, IT'S THE QUEEN!!!! ISN'T SHE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD OR SOMETHING?!?!?
What kind of mission is this?
Spiro: Yeah.
Kanji: Well, she's supposed to be.
Queen: Foolish fools.
Me: Wat? 'Foolish fools?'
Grammar! Grammar!
Queen: You will pay the price for awakening me. I shall let upon a curse across the land.
Beetles started flying out of the pyramid and all over Egypt! Didn't I read an article about some guy named Archie and Queen Cleocatra?
Spiro: Seriously? Bugs? You're the Queen, I'm sure you could do better than a couple of bugs.
Everyone stared at Spiro with the "what's wrong with you" face.
Zara: Don't push it. It's bad enough as it is.
Spiro: What?
Everyone rolled their eyes.
Kanji: Yeah, we'll just be... going then. Byeee!
We all ran out of that pyramid as fast as our paws could carry us. We only stopped outside to see all of the mayhem that the beetles were having. Attacking tourists, eating up cloth, and just generally annoying everyone. It was like the 10 plagues all over again
Cassie: Please don't tell me we have to fix this problem too. I mean, we just finished up in Xura's mind. We need a vacation.
Zara: You were in her mind?!
I sighed.
Me: This was supposed to be a vacation!

I ran through the narrow hallway. It was dim and the lights on the ceiling were blinking, trying to stay alive. Big doors stood at the sides. There was someone at the end of the hallway. She kept running away from me.

Me: Wait! Come back!

We ran for a long time. She ran faster than I could. We reached a separate corridor. I followed her through closed doors. We were at a dead end. Finally, she stopped. I collapsed onto my knees. She turned and looked back at me. Her eyes were like poison darts, they weren't angry, or sad, it looked like pain. A deep sorrow that sucked you deep inside yourself. I recognized this girl... But from where? ... Who was she? Suddenly, I saw her bleeding. I turned around. A duplicate of me stood behind me with a gun in hand. I felt pale. The girl tumbled over and hit the ground with a small "thump", her mouth slowly curved two words: kế hoạch z. I saw the other me turn, lift the gun, look me mercilessly in the eyes, and pull the trigger.

I woke up with a start. I was sweating terribly. I gasped and my hand instinctively shot to my side where the bullet had been aimed, nothing was there.
Me: kế hoạch z...

I whispered that a couple of times. What language was that? The dream seemed real, but I knew it wasn't. Yet somehow, I couldn't shake the intense fear and that one phrase.

I was in the pyramid base. I could hear the beetles outside. No pyramid was clear of them except this one, and we had invited Cassie and her bodyguards to stay. I looked at my iPhone, it was 1:00 AM. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep again so I rolled out of bed and sluggishly limped to my closet. I started to change and winced as a sharp pain from the long scar at my side stretched upward. I started putting on black clothing and i stopped myself. No spying tonight. I grabbed a Purple T-shirt and a pair of stretch pants. I slipped them on slowly, lamenting on my dream.

I reached for the door but I saw a laser alert beam at the top of the entrance. Aw. They don't trust me? I'm hurt. I smirked and searched for another exit. The vents were blocked. I searched a little more and pulled a red book. A bookcase tunnel opened. At first I was surprised, but I soon realized that we were in a pyramid, and pyramids always had stuff like this. I just hoped that a rock wouldn't chase me down the hallway like it does in Indiana Jones.

I cautiously walked through the torch-lit hallway. I saw some spiders spinning webs in the corners of all the separate tunnels. I made a turn down the first hallway and saw 4 secret entrance doors. I peeked through the spaced cracks of the books on the bookshelf. The first room was Kanji. He was up on his laptop. I turned near the next room and saw Spiro, he was snoring louder than Cassandra did from the tranquil dart.

The next room was Cassie's. She looked like she was having difficulty sleeping. Thinking too hard maybe? She was a leader now. But what do I know? It could be about potatoes, whether they are just vegetables or they are tubers. I silently pushed her bookcase so that no one would hear me. Cassie looked at me with wide eyes. I signaled for her to come with me. She followed me back to the main hallway.

Cassie: How did you discover this?
I shrugged.
Me: There was an alert laser at my door and I looked for another way out.
I saw a light at the end of the hallway.
Me: That looks like an exit.
Cassie: What are you planning to do?
Me: Come on and you'll see.
Cassie reluctantly dragged herself along. We made it outside. There was a buzz of many beetles. I pointed to the highest pyramid.

Me: We're going there.
Cassie: For what? Why are we-
I didn't hear her anymore since I had started racing toward the pyramid. The low heat, dying wind, and silence was relaxing. I didn't want to feel anything. This time, I could just be alone with my friend, and I wanted to enjoy it. I could feel Cassie trying to catch up with me. I slowed my pace. We reached the pyramid and stood in front of it.
Cassie: What now?
Me: We have to get to the top.
Cassie: Oh okay... Wait. WHAT?! How in the potato are we going to get up there?
Me: Like this.
I reached down to leg strap where I kept my gun and dagger. I pulled off a small cylinder tube and pointed at the top of the pyramid.
Me: Hold onto me.
She gave me a look.
Cassie: Why? What are you doing?
Me: Come onnnnnnnnnn....
Cassie: Fine.
She held on and I shot a line to the top. It clutched the torch canister. We slung up the pyramid on the line.
Cassie: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh POTATOESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
We reached the top and I detached the line.
Cassie: That was super cool but totally scary!
She was laughing hysterically like she didn't know what other reaction she should make. We were at the top. I sat down and looked at the view. Cassie looked frustrated.

Cassie: These bugs are annoying. Why are we up here?
Me: Cassie. Take a breath and look at the view.
Cassie looked out at the dessert.
Cassie: All I see is sand and bugs.
Me: Avoid those. It's beautiful. The moon and stars are clear the wind and temperature are just right, I couldn't ask for a more perfect way to spend the night!
Cassie took another look.
Cassie: I suppose it is pretty.
The top of the pyramid was flat and not pointy so we lied down on it. We watched in silence for a while, all the shooting stars.

Me: So... How was your two weeks of no school?
Cassie laughed.
Cassie: I actually infiltrated a different school. And when I called you, I was at our secret base.
Me: Really? Haha. Where was it, McDonald's?
Cassie: O.O How did you know that?
Me: Spiro's personality. Your team gets annoyed with each other and end up laughing about it later, right?
Cassie: You might be better stalkers than they are. And that's saying something.
Me: If you watch them for even 15 minutes, you pick up on it.
Cassie: You know, you changed a lot.
I sighed.
Me: I can't say it's for the better.
Cassie: What do you mean?
Me: I should probably start from the beginning...
I told her about Early graduation, Nick Furry and my double-agent-ness, I also told her about how that girl Jenette just showed up in my life.

Cassie: That stinks.
Me: You're telling me.
I laughed. Cassie smiled.
Cassie: You can always quit and become my bodyguard...
Me: ... I'd like to, but I can't.
She sighed.
Cassie: I guess I just feel bad...
Me: Don't worry. I'll find something to keep me going... eventually...
We looked up at the shooting stars.
Me: I know I've only seen it in movies but... Do you want to make a wish?
Cassie hesitated.
Cassie: Yeah... Maybe...
I closed my eyes. There were so many things to wish about.
Cassie: I wish.... I could back to the old days, where I could be in the rebellion with all my friends.
Me: I wish... That I could figure out what my dream meant... And what kế hoạch z may mean or what it has to do with me.
Something at that instant flashed through my mind. That book. The one I left in scarlet lake. I should've opened it! I let out a small groan.

Cassie: Something wrong?
Me: No.. It's nothing.
I could hardly remember the girl's face from my dream by now, all I can remember are those eyes. Misery inhabited them, and it wasn't something that I could just shake off. I sat up and looked over at Cassie. She had started to close her eyes to go to sleep. I tore a piece of my clothing and took my bottle of mascara. I left a message:
Call, you won't know who. Go back then, to what you first knew. 2204
I put it in her hand. I couldn't leave a direct way for her to find me. She would have to solve the riddle. Cassie reopened her eyes and gave me a look.

Cassie: What's this for?
Me: When you need me. I'll leave something for your bodyguards too but... That one will be personal.
Cassie: Why is it riddle? Don't you know that I'm terrible at those?
Me: It's a riddle because by the time I come to see you, someone will be trying to find and kill me. Don't worry. You'll figure it out. It's mascara though, so don't burn it or get it wet.
I laid back down. We watched the stars for a while.
Soon, the sun started up.
Cassie: How do we get down?
Me: Do you have a belt?
Cassie: No...
Me: I need something long...
I looked at her hair. It took Cassie a while but she followed my gaze.

Cassie: What exactly are we using it for?
I let my own hair down. It was about a quarter shorter than Cassie's but it would do. I pulled my hair and put half of it over the rope. I held down tight on each side and zip lined down. It hurt, but it was so cool! Cassie looked back at me with wide eyes.
Cassie: I'm not doing that!
Me: Come on! It's fun!
She closed her eyes and slid down, first screaming, then yodeling. No, I can't explain.
Me: See? That wasn't so bad.
She rolled her eyes.
Cassie: I'm just glad that my Rapunzel hair could be useful for something.
We snuck back into the pyramid and reached her room.
Cassie: Well.. I guess this is it.
Me: You can still text me.

Cassie smiled. We hugged and she went back into her room. I walked back through the empty hallway to my room. I peeked through the spaces in-between books. I pushed back to the bookcase and sat down on my bed. Crazy night. I laid down and closed my eyes.
I suddenly felt cold metal touch my forehead. I opened my eyes and saw Zark. I remembered he had gone down in the parachute. His leg had dried blood and it was scarred.
Despite the situation, I had some sort of weird calm and peace.
Me: Hello, Zark.
Zark: You should have forgotten who you were.
I smiled and let out a small chuckle.
Me: You're not a killer. We're not killers.
He tightened his grip and pushed the gun deeper into my skin.
Me: You're scared.
Zark: I'm not scared!
I blinked.
Me: You're nervous.
His hands shook. He tried to make them stop so he could he keep his intense stare.
Zark: Get up!
I sat up and looked at him.
Zark: Move it!
He motioned to the door with his gun. I slowly hauled myself up and stood by the door. He opened it and held the gun to my head.

Zark: Go to the exit.
I walked slowly. He pushed me.
Zark: Walk faster.
We reached the door and he opened it.
Me: I have a question.
Zark: What?
Me: How exactly did you expect to break into a spy base and not get caught?
I looked behind him and he followed my gaze. Amy stood there and punched him in the face. I brushed the dust off my leggings.
Me: I guess he didn't know about the sensor on all the doors between 12 and 6:00.
Amy smiled. We dragged Zark into the building and tied him to a chair.
Me: So... What's for breakfast?

The breakfast was delicious... but Spiro ate all the donuts and Zana drank all the orange juice. I asked Kanji what he was doing and he told me that he was trying to hack the mainframe of this place. He was clearly doing it wrong because he was two numbers off of the obvious algorithm of 3183 characters and numbers that everyone uses. I mean PSSH! Who could make that mistake? Hacking is like SOOO easy. Anyway, I would've corrected him but I guess I work for this place now, right? .-.

Anyway, Cassie is going to leave soon and i'm going to go back to my life. Apparently, we all decided that it would probably be best if we just forgot about that weird Queen that sent a bunch of beetles all over the place and just went back home to our awful lives.

Kanji: WELL. I think its about time we leave.
He's only saying that because he can't hack the place.
Zara: Yeah, lets ditch.
Cassie: I still don't understand what protagonist's we're being by leaving beetles all over the place!
Amy: Maybe you're the antagonists ORRRRR pawns in someone else's game >:D
She had an evil glare in her eyes as she said that. Either she was completely evil, everything she was saying is true, or she just hates Cassie and wants to creep her out. You know, with Amy, I don't think you'd be able to tell.

Spiro: >.0 I don't think its safe here anymore Cassie...
Zara: >.> Yeah I mean pfft... for all we know, this orange juice could be poisoned *throws behind shoulder*
Me: THE ORANGE JUICE!!!!!

After 3 minutes of crying over the lost orange juice, we returned to the conversation that I have no involvement in.
Kanji: Yup. It's about time we leave *throws all the 5-star restaurant pancakes into a box*
Cassie started to take things too and then Zara stopped her.

Zara: *mouth full* Remember! You have to watch your diet!
Cassie: -_______- But I'm the one doing all the work.
Zara: Work? All you did is sleep.
Cassie slowly turned her head and looked at me and Amy. Amy was laughing her head off at the display and I made a sad finger tear down my face.
Cassie: WOMAN IM EATING MY PANCAKES NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY!
Cassie ran toward the pancakes but it was exactly like the picture below, being that she was Pikachu.

Cassie: -.- How long do I have to be on this diet?
Zara: Maybe for the rest of your life.
Cassie: O_O How come you guys don't have to go on a diet?! >:(
Zara: Because we're so in shape.
Cassie pulled up her shirt halfway.
Cassie: But I'm in shape too! See my abs?
Zara: You don't have any abs.
Cassie: THAT'S BECAUSE I cover them in a protective layer of fat.
Swag, Cassie. Swag.
Zara: -_-; You disappoint me.
Cassie: Can't I technically fire you?
Kanji: No you can't.
Cassie: Why?
Kanji: Because you're not in charge of us.
Cassie: IM YOUR POTATO'n LEADER!
Kanji: So? We're older than you.
Cassie looked like her head was about to explode. Just as she was about to say something, Alexander, thunder's boss, came to breakfast.

Alex: Amy. Are these the weirdos you described that stayed here last night?
Cassie: Weirdos?! Who are you-
I held her mouth closed with my hand.
Me: HAHA. Now don't get too excited Cassie!
I gave her a warning glance and she gave me a look that said "But he called me a weirdo!". I glanced her a look that said "I don't care. This guy will *faint* you like a Pokemon in less than a minute if you make him mad!" Cassie still looked stubborn but she grabbed some sausages without Zara knowing and slowly started to nibble on them.
Amy: Yuppp... They are rather strange.
Alex poured himself a cup of coffee. It was like they weren't even there.
Alex: Are they a threat?
Amy: Much as I would like to break their necks, especially that one *points to Cassie*-
In the background, I could see Zara chasing Cassie for the sausages.
Amy: -they aren't a threat.
Alex: Do we need to kill them since they've seen our faces?
Cassie and all her bodyguards paused. Alex took another sip of his coffee, and Amy popped a spoonful of Captain Crunch in her mouth.
Amy: Nah...
Everyone resumed what they were doing and she pulled out a USB I've never seen before.

Amy: Kanji, the one with the weird sweatband stealing all the pancakes, had this USB in his room. Anyway, of course I stole it-
Kanji: I was up all night, how could you have stolen my USB?!
Amy: *ignores* and checked it. Their identities are legit. Even though they're crazy annoying, they aren't worth the time.
Kanji: The time?
Amy: You know, to waste a bullet on, hide the body, and pretend we never knew you.
Kanji: O.o
She threw the USB back at Kanji. He juggled it trying to catch it, and bumped into Cassie. Sausage flung into the air and landed on Spiro. Zana smashed into Cassie making all of them tumble into a big mess on the floor. Alex and Amy acted like nothing happened and continued their conversation.
Alex: Good.
He took another sip of coffee.
Alex: I hope they are out at sundown. I don't take fancy to entertaining guests.
Amy: They will be. Perhaps even hours before.
She had a small smile. I knew then that it would be up to me to get them out of here before she did anything to make them want to leave.
So later, after breakfast Cassie and I compared what happened this morning, it was completely different from what I said. I guess it must have been very eventful. I smiled thinking about how she ran from Zana with sausages. Anyway, I helped all of them pack their bags. I called for a new plane for them. I didn't know where they would go next so I guess I was a bit upset.

Cassie: You don't have abs right, Xura?
I pulled up my shirt. Wow! I did gave abs... How did I get those? Oh wait.
Me: Yeah... Remember spring break when I went to my grandma's weird dojo thingamabob place? It was do or die there, even with the cookies. So I guess beating up ninjas can give you abs.
Cassie: Just beating up ninjas?
Me: Well... No. I mean, I ran 5 miles a day, carried heavy water buckets up a few mountains.. Did crunches, curl-ups, push-ups, leg lifts and hot yoga, but I didn't think any of that really got me any abs.. It had to be the ninjas.
Cassie: Should girls even have abs?
Me: Well I think if everyone is trying to kill you then it might be useful to be strong. [color=#00BFFF]
Cassie: You have a point there... But pfft i think it's important to have Fat protection over your abs like I do! [/color]
Me: Rightttttt....
I rolled my eyes and we both laughed. I led Cass and her bodyguards to the airport.
Cassie: So..
Me: So...
Cassie: I guess this it for a while.
Me: Yeah...
Dramatic pause. We burst into tears and hugged each other.
Me: ILL MISS YOU CASSIE!
Cassie: ILL MISS YOU TOO, XURA!
We literally spent 15 minutes there, sobbing and taking out all our feelings into our diaries.

Spiro: Uh... I hate to break your moment here but... We have to go.
We both snapped back to normal. Cassie got onto the plane waved goodbye. Kanji followed, then Zana, and Spiro was about to but I stopped him.
Me: Here. This card has my number on it. If your organization needs someone to do something that isn't in their capabilities, call me.
Spiro looked at me weirdly for a second and then he nodded, took the card, and got on the plane and they left. Amy walked up behind me.
Amy: You gonna be okay?
I nodded.
Me: Let's go.
So we took an extremely dramatic exit and I ruined it with this sentence.
Me: When do I go home?
Amy: Now.
She grabbed my luggage which just happened to be behind a random corner. I saw a silver metallic case with it.
Amy: The case is all the equipment you will need from us. It looks like you passed the first test.
Me: The first test? Is there another?
Amy smiled. She handed me the bags and led me up a building built more in length and width rather than height.
Amy: Our jet awaits.
We stepped on the jet. It looked exactly like the last one.
Me: Is this a different jet?
Amy: Nope.
We rode all the way home without anything significant happening well... Except for when I transferred all the shield data onto a USB but that's not really Important. Soon, I got off the plane:

Me: So how do I contact you?
Amy: Everything you need is in the briefcase.
I looked at the building we were on. It looked like it was 78 floors high.
Me: How do I get down...?
She threw me a harness and a grappling hook.
Amy: Good luck.
She got back onto the plane and it flew away. I was all alone now but I guess it wasn't so bad. I mean, climbing down that building felt like I was spider man. I did get a lot of strange looks though. Pfft people now a days... Who doesn't climb down the side of a building anyway?
I began my walk home but I stopped at the Yappichino first. I typed the code in the register and went into the secret base. It surprised me when I saw Nick Furry sitting in the chair at the end of the table.

Nick: Someone stole information from the Shield data from us.
Me: Sounds like an awful crime.
Nick: Do you know who did it?
Me: Nope. I'm surprised I didn't though. After all, I am a master hacker >:3
Nick raised an eyebrow and had a look of disbelief on his face.
Me: I want to go home so... Let's get this talk over with, please.
Nick: Very well. Where did you go?
Me: Egypt...
I explained everything that happened.
Nick: You couldn't download anything from their servers?
Me: No. Even if I tried to get out through the secret tunnels, there was no entrance into the main computer room. I'm sure they don't trust me anyway.
Nick: I see. I'm most intrigued though that you fought off that agent.
Me: What agent? Zark? Oh, he was my first client I was told.
Nick: Yes.. And he stabbed you in the side?
Me: Yeah.
I pulled up a little of my shirt to show him the scar.
Nick: I see. And so you stopped it with your telekinesis.
Me: Pretty much.
Nick: Have you figured out how to use it yet?
Me: It's unpredictable and acts on emotion.
He scratched his chin.
Nick: Alright. You'll begin training in the helicopter and begin working here after Halloween.
He pushed a case to me.
Me: What's that? Does it look like I can carry much else here?
I was exploding with luggage. He laughed and nodded. He pushed a pair of keys toward me.

Me: What are those for?
Nick: One is for the shop and one is for the new Stealth model 64 car you have.
I looked behind him and saw a beautiful black sleek car that glimmered in its garage. I took the keys and threw all the stuff he gave me into the car.
Me: This is awesome!
Nick: Enjoy. That's your first payment, the briefcase is something you might find useful.
I threw all my bags in the car and hopped into the front seat. A car garage door opened into a storage place. I drove my car out and rode smoothly all the way home. I pulled up a little way from the place I lived in. I didn't really want Jake to see my new car, especially since I was lying to him about it. I walked into the house. It was empty, but I figured it would be anyway since Matt and Jake were at school. My pudgy puppy ran up to me and tackled me with kisses. I love this dog!

I fed him, got him some new water, and gave him a treat. We went upstairs to my room. He curled up on the end of my bed and i started unpacking. I opened the briefcase Nick gave me first. It was filled with cash of all sorts of foreign types. I suppose I'll find this useful one day. I closed the case and put it in a safe place that I can't even mention in here. >:3

I took out the other briefcase from Thunder and opened it. A letter stood on top of a mountain of gadgets. I picked it up and it turned blue as if scanning my finger prints. I twitched for a second and then began to rip it open. A thin glass-like screen glowed a green-blue as I pulled it out. It had Alexander's face on it.

Alex: Welcome new agent. In the case you have just opened you should find all the things you will need for your missions. Hopefully, being as tech savvy as you are, you'll be able to figure out what these items are and how to use them. All the *Pokemon fainting* items are adjusted to suit you in whichever way you may have please. And yes, like most parody's this message will explode in three seconds.

I watched as the message exploded virtually and started playing Marachi band Mexican music.
The case had more weapons than gadgets. I pulled out a dagger. It was a bit thicker than mine and it was sharper and shorter in length. I tested it against a chair I had and the chair split in two. I smiled and lowly tossed the light-as-air dagger back and forth between my hands. Those market store daggers were nothing like this one. There were other things there too, like swords, knives, guns, ninja stars, poison tipped darts, bow and arrows, crossbows, even spiked nunchucks!

I closed and secured the case after taking a few weapons of my choosing. I opened my suitcase and began to unpack. I noticed there was something strange about all my clothing. It looked like there was a lot more, and there even was a watch I had never seen too.
I put the watch on and messed with the dials. An unexpected voice rang out of it as I pressed the button.

???: Hello? Xura? This is your communicator watch.
It sounded a bit like Amy.
Amy: This is how you will receive your missions from now on.
Me: Okay.
Amy: Rest up this week because your training missions will begin the day after Halloween.
Me: Okay.
Amy: Signing out.
I heard a little computerized click that ended the transmission. I finished unpacking and flopped myself down onto my bed. I was exhausted. I looked at the time on my new watch. Jake and Matthew would be coming home now. I closed my eyes just for a minute and opened them when I heard a knock at my door. I slowly sulked toward the door and opened it.

Matt: Oh you're back! I thought you would be gone for good
He gave me a hug. I was a bit surprised.
Me: Matt, I was only gone for a day.
Matt: Yeah, but none of my friends talked to me all day because they were so focused on asking questions about Jenette. We even lost a football game because all the players were distracted.
Me: What about Jake?
Matt: Wayyyy distracted. I think Jenette is coming over later-
Me: Hold on.
I pushed past him and ran down the stairs. Jake was in the kitchen making a sandwich.
Jake: Oh hey Xura-
I kept moving faster and faster towards him.
Jake: Are you oka-
I slapped him.
Me: How dare you?! I was gone for a day and now all of a sudden you're drooling over another girl?
Jake: I was.. She's an old friend!
Me: Just what kind of friend, huh, Jake? Maybe our relationship needs to take a break.
Jake: Are you saying...?
I looked at the ground.
Me: I really hoped that when I got back that this girl wouldn't be a problem and I could trust you... You let me down.
Jake: Xura! Please give me another chance.
I couldn't look at him.
Jake: Please...
I turned my head to look at his pleading eyes, they were my pride's downfall.
Me: Fine.
He reached for a hug and I pushed away. I made my eyes like daggers to his, I felt cold to him.
Me: I'm not ready for that.
I walked away, taking his sandwich, and leaving him alone in the kitchen.
