Dinosaur, Shadow, Death
Wolfan Terror
Being in school was hard for... well ...
me. I am not as normal as some people would classify me. I am a werewolf. I woud rather be spending time with my pack maates then stuck in school. They laugh at me for it. A lot. I crept into my science class. I dozed off when the teacher started talking about how fossil fuels came from dead
dinosaurs. Three and a half hours later and I was walking home. I took a short cut through the woods. Why would I be scared? I was already the big bad wolf in a way. I chuckled at that remark. I put my beannie over my long hair and zipped up my jacket. I had to bat down a few spider webs before my house came into view. My mom was sitting on the back porch. I knew she would be mad since I came through the woods. Even though I had changed she still belived that I was helpless against a murdurer or something.
" How many times do I have to ask you not to go through the woods? " She sighed. There it was. She didn't seem angry, just tired of trying.
" Hi mom, how are you? " I said in a sarcastic tone.
" Lilly, I can still worry about you. " She said. Her eyes had black circles around them. Se must not be sleeping again.
" I am heading off soon. Its the weekend and my
friends and I have plans. You should get some rest and spend time with dad." I sugested. She did not look happy about that but she knew I would just sneak out if she didn't let me go. That is just me though.
I grabbed a few things from my room and shoved them in a bag. I knew I wouldn't really need them but it was nice to have a back up plan. We were spending time in our territory. I smirked and went out the door happy to leave. Tomas met me half way in the woods. He had his pick-up truck on a trail.
We left with not much words spoken because we were both ready to go. It was not too long before we got there. The woods by my house was still our territory but I don't really like to freak my parents out. I set my stuff down in the house that they found and fixed up and ran outside.
After " changing " we all ran until dark. The hunt would begin soon and I was exited. I smelled the farmiliar scents all around me and my humane senses vanished. It was all wolf now. The moon had rose in the night sky and it cast eerrie
shadows on the ground. We tracked some unfortuante animal for miles and before I could even turn my head a shape had punced on me and others on my pack members. Sharp pains were at my neck as I tried to throw off my attacker. I could smell that it was another wolf pack. Panic filled my mind as whatever was on top of me refused to come off. I couldn't move. All of the sudden our leader pounced on my attacker sending him flying off. I stood back up and a snarl filled with anger crept through my face. Attack, the only word I could think of. It seemed like hours that we fought. Me and our leader were surrounded, our other pack members held back by the opposing wolves. Their leader padded up to us, amusment written all over his face. He growled and stood n an domanate position. My leader refused to submiss to the filth of a wolf. In anger the other wolf lashed out at my leader, his throat slit. I gasped in horror. The fur all over my body stood up and a growl errupted from my throat. I lunged at the other leader and let pure rage controll me. All I saw was black and red.
When I woke up the sky was turning grey with the effects of dawn. I smelled lots of blood and was sore all over. I padded to the lump that was my leader. He looked so small and broken. The scent of
death rolled over me. Our howls broke the sky. The sorrow in our voices were raw and it was unmatched by anything around. We drug him back to a farmiliar shape. I don't really remember changing back. You never really do. We burried him when everybody was there to see it. The new leader would be decided soon. But who?
