Dear Journal,
I know it has been four years now since Lyra passed away, That doesn't mean I don't miss her every day. Rest in Peace Ly.
Anyway today was a rather good day! I got the lead in the play at our community theater!! I mean I guess it makes sense since I wrote most of the play but... anyway. We are doing the golden bean. I am so excited. I play Jack the bean finder. In the story when he finds the bean you watch him on his journey to find the beans mother and in the end... wait! I can't even tell you that. You must wait and see what the play is about just like every other bean in the audience. I have to get a few things to make sure the play goes smooth. I must hire a background artist to make the backgrounds. I must sew some costumes. My oh my I have quite a lot to do. I am still just as excited as I was yesterday though.

I have to go start right away!!

Dearest Journal,
I finished the golden bean costume and I must say I like it very much. I think it will look very good on Mary. I still have to work on my costume. I still keep the letter Lyra gave me in my pouch. It seems like it was yesterday when we were acting in my room together and now she is gone. I guess it takes time it has only been 4 years since I am a senior now in high school. I baked the most fabulous brownies yesterday. They were just wonderful. I put fudge from the beach in the middle. Yum, they were a huge hit at theater today!
