The Renegades ---> OC Information -- FULL

The Renegades

A group of runaways who have come to find a family and comfort within each other. This group of ponies has thrown society to the curb and lives their lives with their own rules. Lying, cheating, stealing, whatever it takes to get by. They’re little dysfunctional family on their own, although not related, they take care of each other because no one else will.

Now before you get excited about this, you need to understand WHAT these OCs are for.
They’re all for a RP I’m putting together, I don’t usually do this, but if you are interested in taking any of the available ponies under your wing, you’re going to have to RP them in this role-play I’m planning.

I’m only going to be accepting ten people tops; it is not going to be an open RP. I will also be PICKY. If you’re wanting to take part in any of this, you’re going to have to be simi-lit at least. That means this RP will be narrative format only, and you MUST have your posts AT LEAST one paragraph containing at least three full sentences.

This Forum is for the character’s info and the RP info only. I will not be making the adoptions take place here, nor the initial RP, this is just a place to get all my ideas down where other people can read.
If you have any questions please PM me and do not post here.

Pony Positions!

Here are the type of ponies I'm looking for/will be designing.
The reason I'm taking control of this is so no two ponies are too much alike.
This RP will require variety to keep it interesting.
I am not taking complete control, though, I'm just going to give basic personality outlines in which you can build upon.

The Leader - Taken - Backsider MALE Belongs to I'm The Real
Backsider is a tough looking pony who can be quite intimidating at times. He's a little rough around the edges, enjoys a good fight, can be a little reckless, but always puts his little group before himself. Those who know him well know his bark is worse than his bite. He has an arrogant air about him, but knows he's not as great of a catch as he acts.
He has a temper and it can be hard to persuade him to calm down or change his mind. Backsider also has a hard head and prefers things to go his way.

The Joker - Taken - Reynard MALE Belongs to Cosmic~Wallaby
Always messing around, making his friends laugh. A real charmer who uses his sense of humor to get things to go his way. Serious when he needs to be and surprisingly scary when upset.

The Mother - Taken - Peony Posy FEMALE Belongs to clarinet
She babies the others, constantly worries about their health, them getting in too much trouble, and likes to make sure the boys eat right. Tries to take a more honest route to things, and is one of the few with an actual job.

The Trouble - Open MALE
Causes issues more often than the others, seems to have a slightly darker side in terms of what he'll do comfortably. (Hurting others/Stealing/etc) Tends to challenge Backsider often, doesn't always follow the leader's rules, so they fight often. Violence is often the first thing that comes to mind in many situations, event he ones where it isn't even necessary.

The Silent - Taken - Golden Sunset MALE Belongs to Lily.Sweet
This guy tends to keep quiet and too himself. He follows orders fairly well and seems like a pretty cool guy. Little is known about him even to the others, but he doesn't ever cause much ruckus so it's usually let slide on on by.
He's kind, and even though he doesn't have much to say, he's a great listener and tries to help his friends when they're in trouble or feeling down.

The Positive - Taken- Silver Lining- FEMALE Belongs to Commander Shepard
Always looking on the bright side of things, despite a dreary past and any mishaps, the glass is always half full to this pony. Tries to not take sides when their friends are fighting but instead attempts to find the happy medium so everyone can agree on something and settle down.
Tends to hide their own emotions for the sake of their friends, not always as happy as he/she might seem.

The Stick - Taken - Ayers - Male Belongs to Kankri's DJ
The sick is a very strict pony who likes to have things planned, documented, and followed through with. They aren't very good with going with the flow, but is slowly learning how to actually enjoy life by being part of the group of reckless crazy trouble makers.
Jokes often go over their head, or are taken seriously. Very easily embarrassed, spends a lot of time nitpicking at the others, but truly means well.

The Mess Up - Taken - Fault Male Belongs to Mikune
A clumsy pony who seems to be more trouble than they're worth. Also the youngest and most inexperienced of the group. They try as hard as they can, but they always seem to be the reason things go wrong. Isn't great with pocket picking, isn't very graceful, and isn't very street smart. Despite all this the others still care for them equally, even if they get frustrated often.

The Tinker - Taken - Latchkey MALE Belongs to Cosmic~Wallaby
Tinker isn't as good as being cunning but is great with his hooves. He likes to build, fix, blueprint, dig and explode. Almost a jack of all trades, the Thinker is the group's go to guy for diversions, and their more complicated schemes.
He doesn't like to be disrespected, and seems to be the only one in the group that can openly chew Backsider out and get away with it.

The Gambler - OPEN- MALE
The gambler's place in the group often shifts from Savior to good for nothing, it all depends on how the cards lay out for him. One week he'll be up, and the next he'll be down deep in debt and trouble, often dragging his mates down with him. When he does happen to hit big, he's everyone's best friend, but his spot light never lasts long as he can never seem to control himself when it comes to spending money.

The Weasel - Taken - Coal Cloud- MALE Belongs to I'm The Real
A grumpy little guy and newest member in the Renegades. he's still adjusting to working in a unit. A little selfish, still doesn't think much about anyone but himself but is learning how to care for his new friends. Small and goes about almost unseen, he's able to crawl into places the others aren't and is quite useful at times, but getting him out of his room is a little hard.
Still has a chip on his shoulder, hasn't quite accepted his past and still resents it, but healing comes with close friends.

The Diva - Taken - FEMALE Belongs to .o p t i m i s m.
Defiantly the most easy on the eyes of the group. She just doesn't look like the type who'd be in this sort of group. Tall and attractive she uses her looks to get what she wants. This can be a great distraction when pulling off heists or getting out of trouble.
She has a little bit of an attitude, and doesn't mind telling the others what she wants. She knows she'll probably end up getting it.

The Book Worm - Taken - Kyanite -FEMALE Belongs to Wolfeh-The-Great
Packed full of useless knowledge as well as some very useful knowledge, this girl seems to always know just how to get the others out of a tight pinch. She rather be at home with her books rather than out with the boys though.
Somewhat quiet but always one to speak up when she knows something the others don't or to correct someone when they're wrong. She is not afraid to speak her mind most of the time, however holds an inner jealousy for those with something she doesn't have.

The Neutral - Taken - Crow - Male Belongs to Sheer
This guy is mostly background noise. He's around, but doesn't often make much of himself. Quiet unless he feels the need to speak up, and gets along equally with the others. He doesn't make it a point to have favorites or hold another higher than someone else.

[[Obviously this RP will be male dominated. So same sex relationships should not bother you]]

Take note that there is NO reason for alicorn ponies in this story. You must pick either Unicorn, Pegasus, or Earth.

If you want Real to design the pony:

Code: Select all
Username:

Pony’s Name:

Gender:

Age:

Race:

Personality:

Bio: (This can be very basic and vague, but do put some thought into it)

Cutie Mark & Meaning: (IF APPLICABLE your pony can be a blank flank so as long as it ties into their bio)

Talents: (Special talent, or if blank, what strengths your pony has within the group)

Likes and Dislikes:

Other: (Did I miss anything you’d like to add?)

Description: (Please include everything you’d like your pony to be. Size, color, hair styles, accessories. Explain in simi detail so that I can draw them properly for you OR LEAVE BLANK if you want me to just wing it ^ w ^)

If you plan on designing:

Code: Select all
Username:

Pony’s Name:

Gender:

Age:

Race:

Personality:

Bio: (This can be very basic and vague, but do put some thought into it. I need
Birthplace, family history, how and why they ran away and how they came about joining the Renegades. )

Reference:  (Include an image of your pony ^^)

When finished PM it to me and I will post it here so everyone can read it and/or so I can start drawing.

The Mother Figure

Username: clarinet, at your service. c:

Pony’s Name: Peony Posy

Gender: mare.

Age: about 17 - 24, human years.

Race: unicorn.

Personality: basically; warm, friendly, approachable, motherly, gentle, and cautious.

Bio: This mare was born an educated, but not quite wealthy filly, learning about
many things that shaped her personality and nature today. She was quite gentle
and often took in injured animals and such to be cared for until able to fend for
themselves. Her favorite thing in the world was a storybook her mother and father
gifted to her at an early age. It told of magic, kind and gentle maidens, witches and
warlocks; all of that. It all fascinated her. But as she aged, others around her began
to find their talent while she remained a blank flank. The thought of being limited
to one talent frightened her, so she had always put off finding that special thing she
could do. After finishing school, she moved into the neighborhood where the Renegades
lived, soon finding that mismatched family and finding the need to care for them.

Cutie Mark & Meaning: she's a blank flank for now, but she's probably getting her
cutie mark later, as the roleplay progresses.

Talents: cooking, being a perfectionist if that counts, and tending to the injured.

Likes and Dislikes:
She likes animals, friends, company, ponies like her, fairy tales, perfection, and baked
treats like cake.
She dislikes snotty ponies, haters, dirty things, and most flaws.

Other: nothing else I need to add.

Description: something pretty. just wing it. c;

The Positive

Username:
Commander Shepard

Pony’s Name:
Silver Lining

Gender:
Female

Age:
Equivalent of an 18-year old human.

Race:
Pegasus

Personality:
Perhaps the most (consistently) cheerful member of the Renegade gang after the Joker, Silver is intensely loyal to her friends and wants nothing more than to see them happy. She always seems to be doing something-- helping the Joker with, well, a good joke; scavenging around for food, or looking for odd jobs to earn a few extra bits for the group-- her personal philosophy is along the lines of... there's always someone who needs things, and there's always something she can give. If she can't do that... well, she'll walk. Or try talking with someone. Talk to herself, or go out with paint (if she's been able to afford any lately) and start spraying the nearest wall.
If she can't do any of that?
Well, that's when things tend to go... bad, and when you're most likely to see her crack. She'd describe it as just not being able to turn her brain... off, and when she's alone at night with nothing but her thoughts? It's often enough to keep her from sleeping, if it doesn't cause an outright panic attack.
Deep inside, she's... very scared, mostly of being alone or of being seen as useless (or worse, an active hindrance) to the group. It usually shows up only at night though, or on especially dreary days that force her inside or to otherwise remain in one place with nothing to do to keep her mind busy. Fighting is also something that sets her to panic mode. She never likes to get involved with one side or the other; instead, Silver tries to act as a mediator, get others to calm down before anything bad happens.

Bio:
Silver had a fairly standard early life, spending her foalhood years with her mother, father, and three little sisters just outside of Cloudsdale. They were happy enough-- perhaps not as well off as most other ponies though, but they could always manage, and Silver was always a light eater anyway-- what did it matter if she had to give up some meals so her sisters wouldn't go to bed with empty bellies?
When Silver was about nine (relatively speaking), though... things went bad. Trying to earn some extra bits, Silver's mother signed on to help out with hurricane season along the coast. It was two weeks before they heard any news about her, and that news came in the form of a somber-looking pegasus all in black, informing them that she'd collapsed during one of the flights, they were still combing the ocean to try and find her body.
Silver's father did his best to support his daughters afterwards, but it wasn't long before a social worker turned up, saying that it just wasn't healthy for four foals to grow up this way. Silver and two of her sisters were taken away from Cloudsdale, down to a rather nice town and placed with an older pair of earth ponies.
It wasn't... too bad; even now Silver would be hard-pressed to say anything bad about her adoptive family. They kept her and her sisters well-cared for, made sure they had a decent education, all that stuff. They were just a bit... old-fashioned. A mare wasn't supposed to do dirty work. Wasn't supposed to roughhouse with stallions, and certainly wasn't supposed to start flirting with other mares, or start falling in with vandals! There were never any big fights, though; just... little comments. 'You'll never find a job that way, you haven't even gotten a cutie mark yet'. 'Stallions might like a romp, but they'll only settle with a proper mare.' 'Act like that and you'll end up like your mother'. Small comments, little needling ones that kept Silver doubting herself, kept feeding the concerns she already had about herself, until it snowballed into a mess. She slept little, ate almost nothing, became meek and quiet and just accepted her duties without question until, when she was around 16 (once again, relatively speaking), it reached a breaking point. There were no goodbyes, she didn't even leave so much as a note for her sisters. She just took off one night, flying until she couldn't go on any more.
The first months were difficult. Odd jobs only went so far to keeping her fed, shelter was shoddy at best most of the time, and she was terrified that she'd gone and just ruined her future, that it'd be impossible to find a place without even knowing her special talent, that she'd be alone. However, those last two fears seem to no longer be much of a problem, not since she fell in with the Renegades. They reminded her of her old friends, and even if they're... rough, around the edges, they've quickly become as good as family, as far as Silver is concerned. They accepted her as she was, helped her; so now she'll do all she can to help them.

Cutie Mark & Meaning:
Blank flank, at least for now-- she suspects it has something to do with painting, but she's never really had the chance to pursue it.

Talents:
She's not afraid of dirty work, so she's usually among the first to volunteer for jobs others might find... distasteful-- mucking out barns or outhouses, dealing with garbage, that kind of stuff. She's good at sweet-talking ponies for 'donations', and would not be above playing whatever role she can-- the starving single mother (depending on how small Coal is, I could totally see her using him as her 'foal'), a freelance artist who just needs a little extra to get by. She's decent at stealing items (food and stuff), but tends to get cold hooves at anything involving causing actual harm.

Likes and Dislikes:
Likes: Spring and summer, sunny days, anything that allows her to paint, days when the Renegades can all just get along and no one fights.

Dislikes: Rainy days, fall and winter (the darker it is, the worse Silver's mood and panic tend to be), anyone shouting at her, feeling useless.

Other:
She keeps virtually nothing for herself, save for the occasional few cans of paint or some very basic art supplies. It's also worth noting that Silver Lining identifies as pansexual, though shows a preference for mares or androgynous individuals.

Description:
The only things I have set for Silver are that she looks fairly androgynous herself-- taller than the average mare, but a bit shorter than the average stallion (quite thin though, as she still has a tendency to... just plain forget to eat, and can only handle small meals when she does), head shape that is... kind of in-between (probably close to Zecora or Celestia's head shapes), visible hooves. I don't have any solid ideas on her coloration, except that... it probably involves blue/gray/something like that? xD You're welcome to wing it when it comes to those, just... no neons, and preferably nothing orange. Eyes are a pale, silvery-blue color. Does have one constant accessory, a paint-stained, ratty-looking hoodie that used to just be to keep paint from getting on her coat, but now acts as.. sort of a security blanket.

The Tinker

Pony’s Name: Latchkey

Gender: Male

Age: 30 (Oldest of group) I hope

Race:
Unicorn

Personality: Latchkey is a fairly serious pony. He's the oldest and he likes to think that makes him more responsible than the others, though in reality he can be quite careless, putting to much trust on a risky plan. He's very patient with plans and creations but not so patient with ponies, and can become frustrated if not listened to or disrespected, causing him to often butt heads with others in the group. Despite this he isn't much of a fighter and much prefers to talk. He often ends up playing peacemaker if the group fights amongst themselves, though often this is less working things out and more telling them to stop being so stupid and childish, as he takes the realistic viewpoint that they need them all working together.
Latchkey can't stand seeing his friends hurt. If it's just them he tries his best to help. If it was another pony hurting them...beware.

Bio:
Latchkey was born into a working class family. Both his parents worked long hours and he was raised by his sister, who left to earn her own money the second he was old enough for school. He grew up pretty self sufficient, taking himself to school and walking home, cooking his own meals and clearing away, barely even existing to his parents. Then the family fell on hard times when his father was demoted, having to take even longer hours with less pay. At the same time his sister, having failed her own aspirations, returned home, costing them more money. It became a struggle to pay all the bills, choosing one over the other, and stretched to the breaking point, something had to give.
Sick of being the family's money problem, and encouraged by his childhood friend, Backsider, Latchkey ran away, and never looked back, become the first true member of The Renegades.

Cutie Mark & Meaning:
Latchkey's cutiemark is a key wrapped in wire and blueprints to show talent for planning and inventing

Talents:
Invention of items that can aid them and developing complex schemes around them.

Likes and Dislikes:
He likes the quiet, when times are easy, and being alone with his inventions. Also has a love of animals, though mostly the unconventional like rats and pigeons.
He dislikes being disrespected, petty fighting, being lied to and children

Other:
Latchkey took very little from his home when he left. Although he didn't even realise at the time, he took his house key, which he wore around his neck so he didn't lose it. Once he did realise, despite choosing to run away he felt very sentimental about the key. After some work with a file he turned it into a skeleton key, which he carries at all times, either tied to his tool belt or attached to his ear piercing.

The Joker

Pony’s Name:
Reynard

Gender:
Male

Age:
18

Race:
Pegasus

Personality: Reynard will always play the fool in any situation he can. He's always laughing, either at a joke with the others or sniggering at something he won't say. He friendly and cheerful and whether the humour is light and comedic or scaring ponies to death, he's always trying to make somepony laugh, even if he makes a fool of himself doing it.
Reynard is also a real charmer, and often chosen as a distraction as he can easily talk his way out a sticky situation if one arises, though he is also easily distracted by a pretty mare or handsome stallion.
He can clash with more serious ponies as they can get frustrated with how he takes everything as a joke, but honestly e knows it's not a joke, he's just never sure what to say. He can also upset ponies as he teases them about things, testing to see how far he can go. He's never sure why he does this, but it means more often than not he ends up bruised and battered.
Though he very rarely gets angry or upset, when he does it's not a pretty sight. Reynard is a little smaller than the average stallion but if angry he makes up for it in speed. If upset he will go completely silent, often for days.

Bio: Reynard was born as Fire Blossom just outside Ponyville, into a long line of tulip farmers. Growing up he had no talent with plants, everything he cared for quickly withering. His family, unwilling to have a black sheep in the family, continued to try and turn him into a farmer despite his failures. He endured bullying from his brother about his lack of talent at home and bullying from his girly name at school. Fighting only increased his problems so instead he learnt to laugh along, play along with it all. However as he got older, he never got better at growing flowers and his cutiemark never appeared, which only increased the bullying. Finally, sick of feeling worthless and scared what living like this might turn him into, he left, taking enough money to get him far away. He walked into town, caught a cab, and travelled as far as his money would take him. Then flew, ending up broke, far, far away from his home. He met the Renegades, and introduced himself as Reynard, fearful of saying his real name. He was accepted into the family and he's been there since.

Cutie Mark & Meaning: Reynard does not yet have his cutie mark, mainly due to the fact he hasn't had much chance to try new things.

Talents:
Reynard always keeps things light, even when times are bad. Plus his charm is useful in distracting ponies when items are stolen by the others.

Likes and Dislikes:
Reynard loves food of any kind, especially chocolate. He likes flying and joking about, an teasing others
He hates being laughed at or teased himself, and when ponies tell him off for his jokes. He despises flowers, to the extent if he sees them he will go out of his way to trample them, and is deathly afraid of storms, though he pretends he isn't.

Other:
Reynard isn't great at personal space, and finds nothing strange in hugging or kissing his friends, male or female.

The Leader

Username: I’m The Real

Pony’s Name:
Backsider

Gender:
Stallion

Age: Assumed to be in late twenties

Race:
Claims to be an Earth Pony

Personality:

Backsider is the gang’s fearless leader of sorts; at least he likes to think himself to be. He puts off an arrogant façade, often acting as if he’s some great thing. He will play the part as backbone since he isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind or what needs to be said, even if it gets him in trouble. It’s actually very hard for him to keep his mouth shut; especially in the light of authority which he has a serious problem with. When it comes to himself he is reckless and unafraid, but if his actions might hurt the ponies that support him he will second guess his decisions and think things more through.

Bicksider has a hard head and a hot temper to back it up. Once his mind is set on something, or once he’s lost it, it takes quite a bit of effort to calm him down or redirect his attention. Also sporting his hot head is his knack for trouble, he often enjoys picking fights when in a sour mood or if he has been drinking far too much.

Although rough around the edges, Backsider has a good heart when it comes to those he’s grown close to. He wants the best for his little group and will throw himself under the bus before letting any of them get hurt. He is very protective over every single one of them, and although sometimes he might turn and snap on them, he usually feels pretty guilty about it later. Direct apologies don’t come out of him often, but it’s pretty easy to tell when he’s sorry.

Bio:
Born to an Earth Pony father and a Unicorn mother in the heart of Los Pegasus, the new parents were overjoyed with their first born, a unicorn colt. Although the bank was tight and food was scarce, the happy couple worked extra hard to provide for the foal who resembled his father from the tip of his nose to the base of his hooves. Despite financial difficulties the family was happy for the first five years of their baby’s life, but as the colt grew older, the young couple slowly began losing interest in each other and the wellness of their foal.

Sometime after Backsider’s ninth birthday his mother lost her job adding even more stress upon the family and forcing papa to put in extra hours at work. It was soon after that the stallion’s irritation and anger began to really shine, especially when he came home and started to drink. Backsider found himself waking in the middle of night to his father’s voice and his mother’s cries, but forced himself to believe that the sounds were coming from monsters lurking in the closets and stair wells. This illusion was eventually shattered. The first time Backsider saw his papa hit his mother the still very young colt lost everything; his innocent view of life, his admiration of his father, and the comfort he’d once had with his family.

Backsider’s mother eventually dwindled away mentally; she continued about her housewife duties like cooking and cleaning but rarely spoke or did much else. She continued this absent minded behavior even when her husband’s attention turned on the colt.
You never really get used to those things as Backsider came to find out, but you learn how to hide it and how to deal with it. In school he acted out, ditched class, started fights and caused as much trouble as he possibly could. He was an outcast to most of his peers and a nuisance to his instructors. He spent as much time as he could away from home, staying out with a few friends drinking, vandalizing and rough housing. When he showed up at school with bruises and breaks most passed it off as testosterone induced fighting and Backsider never took the time correct them. A mix of absences, poor behavior and failing grades eventually lead to his expel from school. No school meant more quality time at home, tension rose and eventually things snapped.

Backsider walked in on his father mindlessly beating his already brain dead mother, losing it, Backsider lashed back, getting in a few good swings before a still half full glass bottle of whiskey fell over his head, shattering over his horn before the ridged glass was pressed into his face. Of course he blacked out, reawaking hours later finding himself in a hospital bed, the right side of his face heavily bandaged, and his mind heavily drugged. A strange mare sitting beside him began to ask him questions, all of which he answered honestly as she scribbled his responses down on her clipboard. Before he fell back into a drug induced coma the mare pressed a hoof to his shoulder, insuring he’d be okay and be happy once he found a new home.

This didn’t sit well with Backsider and he made his point clear to his closest friend when he came to visit, and with a little persuading he managed to convince Latchkey to run away with him. Checking out of the hospital early the two took to hiding in the cracks of LP, eventually finding other ponies with a few things they shared in common and thus the Renegades were born.

Cutie Mark & Meaning:
Blankflank. The lack of positive reinforcement in his childhood dwindled on Backsider’s self-confidence and he doesn’t believe himself especially talented with anything. Who wants a couple butterflies on their butt anyway?

Talents:

Backsider is the leader of the group. The backbone, the strength and the authority.
Although he is nothing without The Tinker, the two work together to keep the gang together.
He uses his intimidation skills to get others to bend to his will. He knows the city like the back of his hoof, has some tight connections.

Likes and Dislikes:

Backsider really enjoys warm nights in the city, not necessarily night spent drinking or stealing, but quite nights, on the outskirts of the city where the asphalt and sidewalks turn to soft ground and lush grass, when he need to really cool down or clear his head he has a particular hill he likes to visit, far enough away to see the city as a lit up silhouette.
On the lighter side of things, he also enjoys good company, a cold glass of jack, a decent scramble here and there and dreams of one day living a life of luxury. He’s far from that, but finds his friends worth about the same.

He really dislikes anyone who displays authority over him (only exception to this is occasionally Latchkey), when the weather is too cold, and when other try and argue or prove him wrong. And since we’re on that subject, he absolutely hates being wrong and rarely accepts defeat even when he knows he is. He doesn’t appreciate it when others beat on ponies obviously weaker and smaller than themselves, and even though he enjoys a good drink, he hates himself when he does.

Other:
The only other pony beside himself who knows the true story behind his eye patch, and the secret of his race is The Tinker. When asked about his missing eye he usually launches into an enthusiastic story about how his eye was lost in a fight with a ruthless griffon ruffian.

The Weasel

Username: I’m The Real

Pony’s Name:
Coal Cloud

Gender:
Stallion

Age:
16

Race: Pegasus

Personality:
Born much shorter than most ponies with weak wings, Coal is unable to fly and gets sick pretty easily.
He smokes too much, and if he's not smoking he's chewing on a toothpick or a wheat straw.
A bit of a sadist, doesn’t like others very much and feels some satisfaction in putting them down. He enjoys publicly humiliating others in order to achieve a sense of power over them and he can be manipulative, bossy, and arrogant...
He isn’t very talkative but isn't afraid to approach others fist if he has reason. Coal is energized by being alone and being around others drains him. He rather be at home with his video games or books versus out and about with pony friends, though there are a few exceptions including the gang of misfits he lives with. Coal doesn't have many friends, but values the ones he does have and will very often try NOT to be a big jerk to them.
He has low self-esteem due to his lack of height, dingy colours and inability to fly but he often carries himself as if he's better than others. He's still a blank flank because of his lacking self-esteem and brooding doubts in himself.
Coal is surprisingly sensitive and doesn't always take well to teasing or practical jokes and will retort over the top with anger or occasionally violence when felt threatened.
When he's not being a little angry spaz, Coal is calm, quiet and drowsy and believe it or not, cuddly. If he's comfortable enough with a pony he can be quite affectionate, especially when he's sleepy.
Deep down he still has a heart and cares deeply for those with a positive impact in his life. nality:

Bio:

Coal was born premature to a mother who could not afford a crippled foal. Reluctantly, the mare gave the foal up and continued her life like she had before. Coal was hospitalized for several months until his body was strong enough to survive without aid. His premature birth left Coal pretty weak, and with a birth defect in which doctors doubted he'd ever be able to fly.

Like other orphaned fillies and colts, Coal was put through the system. Unfortunately, it wasn’t like any wanting mares and stallions were looking for a stunted, crippled colt to adopt, so Coal was raised in several different foster homes and orphanages where he was shaped to be the stallion he is today. Constant bullying and abuse eventually broke the colt’s natural curiosity and friendly spirits, resulting in him becoming a recluse, finding comfort only when he was alone.

Up until he was nine years old, Coal was raised in Cloudsdale around other Pegasi. He took a big ‘tumble’ while at school, falling off the edge of the floating city and landing on a far cloud below. It took some time but he was eventually found by some patrolling Pegasi and was returned home. It wasn’t long after that that it was decided that Coal would do much better on ground and was moved to a foster home in Los Pegasus.

The foster home was set up inside an old boarding home that was once used for the mentally insane, and was now run by two unicorn stallions that seemed nice enough. There were ten other ponies homed there and Coal was set up to room with the eldest colt, a Pegasus named Steel Heart, who lacked a cutie mark like him; though this wasn’t uncommon with orphaned ponies. Steel was at first opposed to sharing his room with the tiny colt and often lashed out at Coal for small things like unkempt beds or discarded clothing and sometimes even things that weren’t exactly Coals fault. It was tense early on, but they eventually became accustomed to one another, maybe enough to even be considered 'close'.

Steel took Coal under his wing and the two became notorious for sneaking out of the home, often taking trains into the city where they shoplifted, smoked, vandalized and at the very least stirred up trouble. More than once they were dragged home by police. As per usual, they were given their punishments; occasionally they were particularly harsh, leaving Coal bruised and crying quietly in his room with Steel in his own bed, glaring at a wall. Sometimes during those nights, after Coal had settled down and Steel had seemingly fallen asleep, the door to their room would creak open. Coal was often hidden under his blankets, or facing the other direction so he never really saw who came in the room, but the hushed voice that spoke soon after was easily recognizable as the stallion that ran the home. During the first few visits Coal found it difficult to sleep with Steel and their foster parent talking quietly but eventually he grew used to it, like most other uncomfortable things he had to live through.

Coal lived in that home for three years before Steel’s disclosed relationship with their foster parent became explicitly known. Coal wasn’t sure how it all happened, but the home was shut down and the fillies and colts he’d grown to know were all separated and placed under new care. This included Steel Heart whom Coal never saw again, but constantly continues to search for even if he isn’t fully aware of it.

His life continued as it had before, though Coal wasn’t exactly the same. Things continued to fall apart around him and he was never able to get comfortable in any new home he was moved to.. At 15 he finally grew tired of the infinite loop and broke out, running from the orphanage the night before he was due to move in with a new family. Coal wondered around the city aimlessly for few months, taking shelter in rural alley ways and finding food discarded or offered by others.

After a while of scrapping about, Coal found himself involved in a gang of ponies just like him: homeless, runaways, orphans. Coal was coaxed into their numbers with the use of warm food and a dry place to sleep and soon found a place among the dysfunctional family of thieves and street rats. Coal was much smaller than many of the others and was often able to worm himself into places the others could not fit. Cracked windows, gates, gutters, Coal would crawl in and find a place where the others could join him. It wasn’t exactly a comfortable lifestyle, but one where Coal finally felt like he belonged…

Cutie Mark & Meaning:
Blank Flank due to lack of self confidence

Talents:
Coal is a pint sized pony who can weasel his way into nooks and crannies the others cannot. Since he’s small he also goes unnoticed fairly often.
He’s also picked up pocket picking like it’s a second nature for him.

Likes and Dislikes
:
Coal doesn’t seem to like many things, but it’s really just a ruse to keep others away from him. Coal likes cigarettes, fancy hats, and big blankets. Despite his insistent behavior that he hates everyone, Coal enjoys large pegasi with fluffy wings and cuddling when he’s tired. He’ll do just about anything for some good food, especially if it includes anything with potato.
He’s often found looking up at the clouds, though he won’t admit it, I guess you could say he likes the sky.
On the other hand, Coal has quite the list compiled of dislikes, including by not limited to loud ponies, itchy clothing, bright lighting, being told what to do, comments on his height, being mistaken for a foal, and being forced to do anything he doesn’t want to.

Other:
Coal often wears a red sweater and occasionally a blue cap and when he's feeling really low will pluck and pick at the feathers on his wings.

The Silent

Username:
Lily.Sweet

Pony’s Name:
Golden Sunset

Gender:
Male

Age:
About 28 human years

Race:
Earth Pony

Personality:
Verbal conflict is another pony's business. He is never the first to speak, finding a following role more suitable. However, his past is a touchy subject, and he steers clear of conversations in the topic. When push comes to shove, he's certainly one of the stronger members in the group. He is for the most part very emotionally stable (Though not necessarily in a upbeat way), and as one of the older members he is well-versed with common troubles and solutions.

Bio: Born in Baltimare, Golden grew up in a family of seven, 1 mother, 1 father and 4 sisters. When his father left the family to follow a new mare, he found himself in charge of his younger sisters and sickly mother. Baltimare itself isn't too much of a dangerous place, but naturally trouble found the family. His youngest sister was hit by a train on the first and last family outing Golden would experience. His mother passed away, coughing and screaming at him, telling him he was useless and the worst child she'd had to bear, that he was the one who drove her husband away; All he could do is stand and watch as she fell into a maniacal state. He couldn't take it. The doctor said this would go on for hours. He turned around, and bucked.

After he'd sorted out family care for his younger sisters, he found his way out of Baltimare. Everyone knew him there, and what he'd done to get where he is, and he couldn't bear it. Leaving the city seemed to be the easiest thing he'd done. As a almost full-grown stallion, finding jobs wasn't difficult; Some construction work here, some heavy lifting there, it all seemed to come naturally to him. The Renegades might have been a last ditch attempt at a family life for him, but before long it truly felt like a home to him.

Cutie Mark & Meaning: An upfacing horseshoe with three small bubbles, representing his strength in his back legs and talent for heavy work, and more subtly his luck and determination to stay alive

Talents: Golden is first to do anything that needs a little push, and is happy to be a distraction if needed. He can be rather intimidating if required, but he's not big on being threatening to smaller ponies.

Likes and Dislikes:
Golden enjoys people who depend on him, making him feel useful and wanted when he never was at home. He truly wants his friends to be as happy as they can be, and although he never really knew how to put it into words he always wants to be there for them. He loves drinking, especially on the sweeter end of the alcoholic scale, although he limits himself to stay in control of his actions.

He hates windy days more than he will admit, and is convinced that on these days he is weaker than any others. The feeling of helplessness is something that he is still coming to cope with, although he has learned to tolerate it when others in the Renegades are better suited to a task than him.

Other: Golden is slightly taller than the average stallion, though not too noticably.
Oh, and just quickly about his name: You know what they say, "Silence is Golden"

The Mess Up

      Username
      Mikune

      Pony’s Name
      Fault
      True name unknown

      Gender
      Male
      Stallion

      Age
About fourteen to fifteen in human years

      Race
      Unicorn

      Personality
In the kindest sense, Fault is indeed a bit childish for his age. His mentality is that of a small, perverse child who does indeed have a hard time controlling himself and his actions. He tends to act more on impulse then anything else and tends to have a hard time understanding commands from his superiors, though this only due to him inability to comprehend such, as for he is a bit dense in the head. Acting on his impulses causes most of his trip-ups, as for he has a hard time figuring out if it is either the correct thing to do or how it should be done. He isn't graceful in any sense of the word and the word klutz only scratches the surface for him. Loud as can be when moving, terrible at any form of stealth or fast movements, almost with every few steps; face down in the ground are some of the few things that prove how terrible of a klutz he is.

He due to how klutz he is, he has grown to hate himself. He believes and pretty much knows that he is the cause for most of the downfalls of the group, if not all of them. He tends to try and not express himself in front of the Renegades at all, save for the Mother. He acts a bit colder to those who have more authority then himself, thinking that most of the time they will be the one to reprimand him about his slip-ups.

Though few points in his life, he can remember blacking out. This is due to his dissociative identity disorder. The secondary personality rarely shows itself anymore, but when it does, it can be easily seen. The personality associates with no name really and often simply takes on Fault name or his birth name, though it takes Fault for the most point. He becomes much more violent and aloof, sharing no happiness with anyone. It's very easy for him to lash out at anyone, as for this personality does have trust issues.
Though for the most part, this behalf of Fault is unknown, as for it has not shown himself since being a much small colt.

      Bio
Fault was born into a rather wealthy family. Both his parents were both unicorns and outstanding members of the community, liked by many. Though Fault was not an only child, had had two older brothers and thanks to his parents very mixed blood, the eldest was an earth pony who was disowned by the unicorn couple shortly after his birth and the middle child was that of a pegasus who Fault had never met, as for the pegasus had gone away to flight school shortly after his own birth. Thus making Fault like an only child in the household, as for the eldest had been shipped away to an earth pony family.

His early life was a bit strange to himself. He was not raised by his parents, though by the wet nurse they had hired for him. Both his parents had enjoyed the life before their children and intend to live such way. Though as he aged, his nurse grew to hate her employers, claiming that they weren't raising their child right. She soon left afterwards leaving him in the care of his parents. This was when he was around four years old. His parents no longer lived the high life without thinking about having to care a child and finally began to show their faces more around their own son.

Shortly after his fifth birthday, his parents thought it would be best that he would attend Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, reducing the amount of time they would have to watch over him and thus giving them more free time. He had only gotten into the school thanks to his parents connections. At his time at the school, he hated it, he failed at everything he tried and was often called the "Classy Klutz" or "That dumb one" despite how good was with his magic. He'd often do something wrong and when he was trying to correct it is normally when things went bad.

He gave up in all his schooling and would only sit at his desk so he would be a bother to his parents. A conference was held between his parents and the school. Fault was shortly expelled afterwards from the school.

Having no reason to leave his home, he was often there for most of his new-found free time. His parents hated the fact that they would have to watch him along with dealing with the fact that their only unicorn son was a failure. Abuse became commonplace in the house from both his mother father after his third month of being home.

After being abused for over a year, around his seventh birthday, and showing no signs of a personality is when changed happened. His earth pony brother came home. His parents were enraged by their oldest child and began to abuse him as well. Though this did not last long, as for Fault's older brother had the gall to stand up. Seeing abuse happen to his abusers is what caused him to snap.

To Fault and his mind, the violent actions of his parents had somehow became the signs of loved they showed him. At least to the crippled mind of Fault. And watching his loving parents get attacked, oh no, he couldn't watch that. He upped and ran away from his home for a week, and being a seven year old colt in the capital city all alone was not a good combo. Two nights, he was taken advantage by a much older stallion and the other nights, he'd often wander around the city. On the day of his return, he had gone past his former school, which included his former bullies there.

He couldn't handle their love and blacked out as best he could remember. This is when his second personality showed for the first time after harboring all it's hate towards Fault's parents. During the short amount of time when Fault's second personality was awake, he had killed over three of his former bullies before he came to.

He left the scene of the bodies, to scared to look at the body of the deceased. When he had finally returned home, he learned that in the week he was gone, both his parents had died from extreme head trauma and his eldest brother was going to jail for such.

Fault had gone to live with his brother in Dodge City. His time there was short lived though. After his third year, around ten years old, Fault ran away, his new adoptive parents were also abusive, though he could no accept their abuse. He took as much money from them as he could carry and made his way Appleloosa by train. He had only spent a year within Appleloosa, working on perfecting his magic as best as he could without any proper training or guidance. While he was in Appleoosa, he did trivially jobs and often stayed in attics of ponies who didn't even know he was there until the morning when he would become extremely loud with his slip-ups.

Around his twelfth birthday was when he began traveling around the country. Shortly after starting his travels, he fell in line with the Renegades, believing that they were the first truly kind people he has met.

      Cutie Mark & Meaning
Seeing how he was in his childhood, he never indulged into anything that could spark a cutie mark, he never gotten his, and at his current age, he believes he will never. Though truthfully, he thinks that cutie marks don't really matter.

      Talents
He believes that he has no talents beside accepting pain. Despite this, he is rather good with creating illusions to entertain himself. He is also generally good with his magic but tends to forget about having it. One of the few things he actually enjoys but hides from the Renegades is sewing, though he only applies this to disguise, believing that they will help him not get caught as much as he does.

      Other
At point, he was a wanted criminal thanks to the three colts he killed, but after his disappearance report from Dodge city, they claimed he is dead and the search was called off. He's done his best to change his appearance since then.

      Description
Fault is bit on the short side, thought this is because the growth of his body stunt by drugs that were given to him on his week away from when he was a little colt, he is still a bit taller then little Coal though. His horn is a bit on the sharp side, longer then average as well. His legs are a bit to long for his body and slightly hold the figure of a mare. His coat has been dyed and no signs of the original color can be seen. His mane is also on the lengthy side for a colt, it being able to reach his back side and then some, his tail is rather short though, spikey to say. His hooves are heavily fetlocked. He has a single scare that runs down the length of his back, as for most of his other scars are hidden away by his heavy coat.
