@Lygerbird I love your story, The Sunjewel's Hierarchy! Well, as far as I've read it, I do.

*enters very dramatically. Out of breath with my hair in a nest.* Guys! I made it back!

I failed NaNoWriMo. I would have made it but somehow half of my book got deleted.

Anyways. I have since recovered, and am back to writing again.

I just want to say a big thank you to Zoethian for the advice on my writer's block. Last night I returned to my book, and wrote some in it! It feels so nice to return to it. So thank you bunches, Zoethian. :D

Also, I changed my username (was The Mangle), so I guess I'll just fill out this form.

Do poets still exist today? When I grow up I want to be a poet, like Walt Whitman.... He is my favorite poet of all time. I also like William Blake,Robert Frost and Emily Dickson...but the way Whitman does free verse is outstanding!!!

You're very welcome Mega <3 I'm glad you returned to your book and I look forward to seeing the day you publish it ;)

Whoa, that's a ton of work Mach (If you don't mind me calling you that) - how long did that actually take you?
@Alex. I think poets still exist; my Writers Group has a few.

Also, question and challenge-thing time because why not, woo

What is your least favourite character to write?

Any self-confident, brave character. I also don't like writing females often, even though I am a girl. I just feel like they always turn out stereotypical.

What do you think of the word 'said'?

I almost never use it. I always use synonyms. Honestly, I barely ever use dialogue at all.

What's your favourite flaw to give one of your characters?

        Mental illnesses. ;u;
I enjoy the psychology between the way they think and why.

Quick! You have ten minutes to write a (small) scene about a character called Raymond!

Snowflakes drifted lazily from the grey, bleak sky, and a select few landed on Raymond's hair, becoming entangled and dusting the black surface. It was frigid outside, and steaming puffs were visible in the air as he walked silently along. Raymond wasn't quite sure where he was going, and he wasn't quite sure when he was going to get there. In fact, he wasn't even sure why he had left. Everything in his life had been going amazingly, but for some reason, he was left unsatisfied. There was a gaping hole in his life, even though everything he wanted had lain right before him. He discovered he was a wanderer, and was never meant to remain stuck in one place, in one life. Without wandering, he felt tied down, engaged by chains that he had no hope of ever escaping. So, as of today, he had left. Nothing had been brought with him - not extra clothes, not food, not water. As he continued on throughout the years, he grew older. Raymond reminisced more and more on what he had left behind on that day. He wondered if it still hurt to those he had left. Maybe he should have stayed, learned to settle down. He had seen so many beautiful things in his life of wandering, but not all of it was good. Bad times would hit hard every now and then, shoving him into his feet. But as the days grew cold once again year after year, he found he regretted none of it. Raymond had taken the path less traveled by - and it had made all of the difference.

        that was... random?

What is your least favourite character to write?

The antagonist. Sometimes writing them and trying to level out the protagonist is difficult since I want the protagonist to win, or something like that.

What do you think of the word 'said'?

They do teach us not to use it every so often, but sometimes it is necessary to use it. If you keep using other words constantly, it will be confusing, so I think it should be used once and a while, but not every sentence. I don't have anything against using it. Some people say it isn't creative or something like that, but some other synonyms don't really fit correctly on certain scenes.

What's your favourite flaw to give one of your characters?

Being stubborn. I use it because giving them stubbornness can also make them a person who doesn't give up, and wants to follow their own ways, but they do learn lessons in my writing if they are stubborn.

Quick! You have ten minutes to write a (small) scene about a character called Raymond!

Raymond was walking down the sidewalk, holding his skateboard with his right hand. Today, he was making his way to the skatepark, his usual place to hang out and get away from his crowded home. Although he began skateboarding last month, he already learned most tricks, but resulting of bruises and injuries doing so. Finally, Raymond found himself in front of the skatepark. The ramps, fences, and the basketball court attracted alot of other teenagers and younger kids, and today was full. Raymond decided to use one of the biggest ramps to try a trick on, him being prideful. As he stood on top of the tall ramp, a couple of his peers turned to watch him. Most people hurt themselves trying to do tricks on the certain ramp he is standing on, which made him nervous. He stood there for a while, deciding whether he should do it or not. Today, he decided, he will face his fear of this ramp. Raymond stood on his skateboard, and pushed of the ramp.

(Somehow the name Raymond reminded me of skateboarding cx )

what is your least favorite character to write?
      x. it has got to be the cocky, self centered guy that all the girls moon over. i am not male, and i do not know how to flirt.
what do you think of the word 'said'?
      x. well, the teachers always get onto you if you use it, and hand you a sheet that says 'fifty different ways to say 'said'', or create some weird poster that says 'said is dead'.
i think that it's okay to use it every one in a while, you can't avoid it forever. but when someone uses the word 'said', and 'said' only, it gets on my nerves end.
what's your favorite flaw to give one of your characters?
sarcasm, wittiness, curiosity, and stubbornness. i just enjoy making people laugh with a great deal of rudeness.

quick! you have ten minutes to write a (small) scene about a character called raymond!
xxxxxhigh school was a terrible place for a youngster who knew literally nothing about the horrors of other teenagers like himself.
xxxxxgrowing up in the secluded country side, raymond himself had never actually visited a real public school. he had simply been home schooled his entire life. earlier in the summer, his father had announced that they were going to pack up and move into a home in a random small town he had found a job in. raymond hadn't been all too happy about the announcement, but he guessed that he could live with it.
xxxxxtugging at the strings of his hoodie, he entered the two sliding doors and was immediately greeted by the sight of groups of people, all huddled together and milling around. they seemed to all be bored.
xxxxxraymond shuffled in, careful to appear as unnoticeable as possible.

      dANG it, i stopped like a bajillion times, ugh teach me how to write sempais. ;o;
      i have no mUSE.

What is your least favourite character to write?
I don't really have one....
What do you think of the word 'said'?
Personally, I like it. If you say 'said,' nobody will notice the word, while words like 'pronounced' or 'whined' get noticed and take the readers attention away from the story. Sometimes it is good to use words other than 'said,' like to show volume or something, but usually, said is good.
What's your favourite flaw to give one of your characters?
Social awkwardness and stubbornness (Wow that's a weird word). I don't really have much of any reason why.
Quick! You have ten minutes to write a (small) scene about a character called Raymond!
